Pet care experience
I am currently completing my Bachelors in Animal Science at WSU, and have been accepted to begin veterinary school at WSU starting in fall 2024. I have grown up around dogs and cats, most notably our family chihuahua mix, Lucky, and now a sassy tabby cat of my own, Gesa. What I hope I can bring to your pets is what I have learned from my professional experiences with animals. I have worked as a kennel and a veterinary assistant at multiple veterinary clinics over the last few years. I have volunteered extensively with various shelters since I was 13, connecting with animals from a wide range of backgrounds. I also worked many years at a doggy daycare, managing packs of up to 40 dogs daily. All these experiences have brought me confidence in my ability to build relationships with animals from a wide range of temperaments, personalities, and sizes.

I simply can't say enough about how amazing Abby has been watching our little kittens! I highly recommend her to take care of your precious pet(s) while you are away! Abby is extremely knowledgeable about various pets as she has spent countless hours volunteering at various pet clinics and animal shelters. She is also going to vet school school because she loves animals so much. Abby took care of our kittens and not only trimmed their sharp claws, but helped train us to do it ourselves!
My beloved dog Scout loved his times with Abby as does our newly adopted dog, Archie!! Our dogs are our family and it’s hard to leave them behind. It’s hard to find those people that you’re comfortable with when you walk out and close the door. Someone you know has your furry babies best interest at heart, but we found her! Abby not only has an apparent deep love for animals, but is such a kind, sweet young lady! We highly recommend her!
We couldn’t have ask for a better person to take care of our kitties. Abby goes above and beyond for your pets and communication was great. We received updates and photos throughout. Highly recommend!
When Abby isn't at school studying to become a veterinarian, she spends her breaks working at the doggy daycare where I met her. Though she has spent far more time working here over the years than I have, it has been such a blessing watching her learn & grow. She has so much love and patience for every single animal that comes into our facility, I genuinely could not recommend a better human to leave your fur babies with. I know I trust her with mine.

I am more than happy to work with you to accommodate what your pet needs. I do have some experience with medications/nail trims/other special circumstances in a veterinary clinic setting especially. The extra services I am comfortable providing will be animal/situation dependent but I would love to have a conversation with you about anything on your mind!
A typical day
I love finding ways to stimulate the brains of both my cat and dog friends. Whether that be working on leash walking skills, learning new tricks, hide and seek with treats, or providing extra play to indoor kitties, I love getting that extra interaction with them!
