Pet care experience
I'm currently a medical student at WSU. I’m not in the right stage of life to own any pets yet, so I’m happy to play with yours! My qualifications: - Over 5 years of experiences sitting a variety of animals - 1 year of veterinary assistant experience. I am trained in basic dog and cat first aid. - I grew up on a farm and owned a horse for 5 years, so I am happy to sit for large dogs, farm animals, and horses. - I also have experience caring for rabbits, rodents, fish, and turtles.

5 Stars - Can’t say enough good things about Abbie. She was fantastic with both of our dogs who are both needy in their own way. Did great with a crazy puppy type and made sure Maggie had everything she needed to stay safe with MDW fireworks. Always kept us updated with pictures, took excellent care of the dogs and some duties around the house while we were gone. When we came home the house was in perfect condition and had even gone the extra mile with putting things in the wash. Not many people can keep our basset out of trouble, but she was up for the challenge. Will absolutely be using Abbie in the future and safe to say our dogs have a new favorite baby sitter.
Abbie was FABULOUS! We were nervous to leave our almost 16 yr old pet with a "stranger" given he had some recent medical issues....she became family and Mikey was well taken care of ! Highly recommend her and we will definitely use her again! Thanks Abbie for giving us peace of mind !

I’m very happy to watch your pets at their home, where they are most comfortable! If I am staying at your home, you can be assured I will treat your space with the utmost respect. When I leave, my bedding and towel will be in the wash, the trash will be emptied, the dishes cleaned, and your home will be just as your left it (if not cleaner!)

I would appreciate knowing your pet’s daily schedule, any food/medication needs, and if your pet has any allergies or medical conditions. It’s also important to know house rules, your pet’s play and exercise preferences, and your expectations of my stay.
A typical day
My schedule is very flexible, so I am able to mirror my day to what your pet is used to. Outside of a few weekly scheduled on-campus events, I am able to spend the entire time with your pet.

Availability
Medical school is primarily online and very flexible, so I rarely need to spend over 4 hours away from your pets in a given day. I’m able to relax all day with your pets while I study, then go on a long walk in the evenings to recharge.
