Pet care experience
I have 15+ years experience in caring for all different species of animals and have spent the past 5 years fostering many different types of animals and breeds of dogs. I am also certified in Cat and Dog CPR and First Aid by the American Red Cross. My family consists of myself, a three year old Tripp. And 3 dogs: Bear, shepherd, Stella, dachshund, and Elphie, a Havanese. I strive to treat your furry family members as my own while they are in my care and are happy to be as accommodating as possible to ensure their comfort while you are away. Feel free to shoot me a message with any questions you may have! Thank you so much for your time and consideration !
Reviews
Jack lost weight and Abbey had at least 8 dogs at the same time in a very dirty place. I never used her service again.
We were visiting from out of town to attend a funeral. After almost six hours in the car, I knew our pup would need a break. Auggie is a rescue with a bit of separation anxiety, and a very sad past, so we were hesitant about leaving him with someone he did not know. Abbey was very kind and understanding on the phone, and assured us that he would be fine. Once arriving at her house, it was obvious that she has the "it" factor with dogs. Auggie barely noticed that we left! When we picked him up, he was happy and content. I highly recommend Abbey as a sitter for your fur baby. She is awesome!!!
Abbey did a great job looking in on my kitties while I was out of town. She has also done dog sitting for me as well. Very kind and trustworthy.
Drop off and pick up was easy. Ace, my dog seemed in no hurry to leave, that's what matters, dog was happy.

We want to know what will make your pup feel at home! Please bring anything that will make them most comfortable during their stay. We accept any breed/size and also will be happy to board or do home visits for any other furry, feathered or scaley family member you may have.
A typical day
Daily walks, doggy swimming pool, puppy playtime, and a comfortable "make-yourself-at-home" environment are just a few activities pups can expect to enjoy during their stay at A Home for Your Hound. Kennel time is very limited as furry guests are considered members of the family when here and are fully expected to cuddle up on the couch or sprawl out on the cool tile.
