I have been a registered veterinary technician for the last 14 years and prior to that I was in college to be a vet tech and volunteering at clinics. As a vet tech, I spent most of my time working in a fast paced veterinary hospital and have critical care experience. In 2022, I said good-bye to working in practice to pursue my career as an artist (painting pet portraits). I miss the animals and look forward to spending some time with your furry (or not furry) companions! As an artist, I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. Most weekdays, I don’t require any notice; however, on weekends I require more than a days notice. Caring for your pet at your home can range from taking them for walks and play time to medicating and giving insulin injections to well-tempered pets. I am available to take your fur kiddo to veterinary appointments to help navigate the medical jargon for you too! I’m proficient in caring for animals post-op and helping with rehabilitation after orthopedic surgeries and managing patients with health conditions such as diabetes and Cushings disease. I have a lot of experience in assisting in my own dogs’ training and am comfortable in reinforcing positive behaviors in your dog. In home care at my home is based on a built relationship of trust and a bond with your pet. If I feel we have accomplished that, I have a fenced in yard and 2 other pet friendly dogs. I also have cats and a child, so your dog must be cat and child friendly.
