Convenient Care + Cuddles!
Pet care experience
Hello!! My name is Abbey. I am an avid dog/ animal lover. I've owned many dogs growing up and have been around many different types and sizes of animals. I started pet-sitting for my neighbors when I was around 12 years old. Since then, I have been the "go-to" for my family and family friends when they leave town. Over the years, I have gained a few families who use my services regularly. These range from watching one dog, dogs and cats, and even caring for a small farm (cows, goats, chickens, etc.). I am comfortable with administering any medications needed and following any other special instructions regarding exercise, old age, disability, etc.
Reviews
Abbey took great care of our 9 month old Great Dane (Isla) for 3 nights while we went away. This was the first time that we left our pup overnight and I was nervous to leave her, but it was such a relief to have Abbey watching her. Abbey sent pics and updates throughout the weekend so we were not stressed about Isla and knew she was getting lots of attention, play, and snuggles. I felt like Abbey was very considerate in that she stuck with Isla’s routine and also spent a lot of time with her (which meant a lot especially considering this is the first time we left her). We came home to a happy and healthy puppy so could not have asked for more! On top of that, Abbey clearly took good care of our house when staying there because it was left in excellent shape and looked exactly as it did when we left town. We are SO appreciate of Abbey and the peace of mind she gave us knowing that our dog was being cared for so well while we were gone.
Abbey was great! She was able to help when I needed to find someone last minute and was very understanding and patient with my dog that can be reactive with strangers. Would definitely book with her again!
Abbey has been amazing with my old dog. She is always kind and gentle with him, even when he is being a grump. She's also great with my cats. She is very conscientious about not only my pets but my house as well. I trust her completely and she is my go-to!

Safety, trust & environment
I am very understanding of individual pets needs. I feel comfortable with crating, using "pee pads", using baby gates, and walking on a leash regardless of size/strength. I also understand that every homeowner has different wishes. You can trust that I will care for your home and your pet(s) like they are my own during the time I am with them. No matter what, I always clean any areas of your home that I used (wipe countertops, sweep, wash dishes, make the bed, ...). This way, I can hopefully remove some stress so that when you arrive home it is like you never left. If there is anything specific you do or don't want me to do during my stay, just let me know! I realize for most animals (and even pet owners), receiving care from a stranger can be scary at first! I try to do everything I can to make sure everyone involved has a pleasurable experience.
Information Abbey E. would like to know about your pet
Important questions to consider: Food: How often is your animal fed? Do you mix foods? How much? How many times a day? Routine: Does your dog wake up at 5AM to go potty? Does your dog potty best after dinner? Does your dog only go #2 on walks?
A typical day
I love to talk to dogs like they are my friends. Your dog will stay up-to-date with all of my life drama. I also like to play with their favorite toys, chase them outside, go to the dog park (if dog-friendly), and take on walks around the neighborhood. I have experience with teaching simple tricks and obedience (sit, stay, roll, lay down). Let me know if you are currently working with your dogs on things like this, or if you would like to!

Availability
I work full time in office, Mon-Fri from 8-5pm. Due to living in apartments and not being completely settled I do not have pets of my own, so I love the opportunity to care for and be around animals when I can.
