Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Abbey, and I'm a first year psychology student at the University of Groningen who is eager to devote free time to showering your pets with love. Ever since I was 2 years old, pets have been an essential part of my life. We had five dogs in our household, meaning that caring for animals is practically habitual for me. Being around dogs feel like being at home for me. I have the most experience caring for small to medium dogs, but all dogs are welcome in my care. I have plenty of experience working with puppies as well as elderly dogs. Past neighbors have recruited me to check in on and walk their dogs when they went out of town, and I also volunteered at my local animal shelter on occasion. Needless to say, I am an extremely enthusiastic animal lover and I am more than happy to provide tender loving care for your furry friends whenever needed!

Animals love Abbey, almost as much as she loves them! I could not recommend Abbey's services enough, and am so lucky I found such a kind person to watch my four year old, chihuahua/min-pin mix. My dog is extremely picky when it comes to eating and rarely eats from anyone other than me. I was thrilled when Abbey let me know that she was able to feed her with no hesitation. I unfortunately do not offer boarding services as my apartment does not allow pets, but I am fully available to house-sit, perform drop-ins, and walk your pets as needed! I am more than happy to accommodate pets that are being trained or that have specific needs of any kind. Your pets will have my undivided attention while in my care!

It is important for me to be aware of any special needs your dog may have, ranging from their medications and allergies to certain behavioral patterns. I would also need to know whether the dog has a history of aggression towards other people as well as other dogs. Of course, it is important for me to know what the dog’s routine is.
A typical day
I enjoy learning about a dog’s personality enough to curate a custom plan for our time together! I plan on taking your pup to the nearest park or for a stroll around the area. We’ll play to our hearts’ content until it’s time to cozy up at home and rest.

Availability
I am currently a full-time student, but I do have days during the week that are more free for me than others. This schedule tends to shift along with each block of my academic year, but rest assured that my availability will always be updated on my profile. Tuesdays and Thursdays are usually pretty open for me, and I am also willing to work on weekends. Of course, other days of the week could also be arranged - just shoot me a message and we can discuss from there!
