Pet care experience
My years of experience starts from my own two dogs which I’ve had in my life for nearly 13 years, but I began to assist in their needs and caretaking when they were around 4 years old, which was around when I was 10 years old. I have helped friends and family with caring for, watching, grooming and bathing their dogs. Usually I have worked with just one at a time, though there have been instances where I would watch four dogs at the same time for the span of a few days, all separate breeds and sizes, with their own specific needs. I am also a full time student enrolled at LMU for a Veterinary Health Science degree, so working with animals is something I enjoy and would prefer to begin with. I would like to know details regarding the animals I’m working with so I can work and interact with them as the owner wishes and so I know what to expect from them ahead of time. Details can be generic or specific, fulfilling how the owner wants me to satisfy the animals wants and needs is the goal.

I recommend Aaron (Reece) as a responsible and loving pet caregiver. He has two Pomeranians of his own. Their names are Jax and Colt. They are brothers and are 12 years old. Aaron is now their primary caregiver. He tends to their daily needs such as food, water, and going out to potty. He gives them kisses and lots of love. He bathes them when needed. He takes them on walks. He takes them to their vet appointments. He is very reliable and responsible. Aaron has loved animals from a very young age. So much so, that he is currently enrolled in the Vet Program at LMU and is working toward that career as a caregiver of animals. He has assisted other individuals with the care of their animals by pet-sitting for his sister who has three dogs and by assisting a family friend with the bathing of her dog and tending to it while she was out of town. He even tended to an injured neighborhood dog who got into a fight with another neighborhood dog. Aaron has a huge heart, especially when it comes to animals and their care.

I will prioritize the specific treatment wanted from the owners of the pets however they see fit. I will adhere to any feeding, walking, maintenance, or sleep schedules to the best of my ability. If none are requested or described I will apply a temporary schedule for the duration of their stay as seen fit. I will ensure the home is safe to explore before allowing them to roam freely and ensure the roundabout area I live in is safe to walk around before going out.

Let me know ahead of time if your pet has special needs or medications to be given. Also let me know any specific ways you would want me to care for your pet, whether that’s playing with them, exercising them, feeding them, etc.
A typical day
On weekdays I would more than likely be in classes for a span of 2 hours maximum, before I would get to come home and care for your dogs for a couple of hours. To then return to classes for another hour or so, leaving most of my day open to caring for your dog. Your dog will have access to a majority of my home, which will be safety proofed beforehand, so they have some space to work with as I’m not there. Weekends will vary heavily due to work and my constantly shifting schedule, so I will more than likely not be available for weekends. Otherwise, I would focus all of my available time to the pet and their needs, which would involve playing, activities, cleaning, food preparation and more.

Availability
I am an actively enrolled full time student at LMU so my available times will vary from day to day due to my course schedule throughout the week. I have fragments of available free time between classes, during which I will come back home to care for my own two dogs (male Pomeranians) and fulfill their needs such as food, water, and changing out a training pad if need be, so they can use the bathroom while I’m away from home throughout the day. I am readily available to be with them in the early morning (6-8:30 am) and the later night (6-11pm). An exception to this would be Monday nights and Thursday nights, I would be home at a later time than usual. Weekends will heavily vary and more than likely be limited to check-ins or walks after 12 pm and before 10 pm, though if a boarding is absolutely necessary I would be capable of taking on the animal. This would be the same availability towards other animals.
