Pet care experience
🐶🐱 Most of our fur-babies find comfort staying in their own home, especially while you’re on vacation. I offer drop-in visits in your home to give care & companionship to your fur family while you’re away so both you and them can enjoy the vacation with peace-of-mind. If I care for your pet in your home, I will take care of them like your family. I will be careful to follow any specific needs they have with food or other care as well as their personal preferences since they each have heir own personality. I can help with feeding, pee breaks, giving medicine and, gladly enjoy playtime and lots of pets and cuddles with them. I will get to know your pet personally and get to know what makes them happy and comfortable. And I look forward to becoming friends with them. 🙋🏻♀️A BIT ABOUT ME: I've been an animal lover since I was a child. I love being around them and I have always experienced a caring bond to every one I have been blessed with or met. I have had dogs in my family and of my own my whole life (over 40 years) and each and every one was part of our family. My two boys were Charlie, our parti-colored cocker spaniel, and Luke, our golden retriever. And their cousins, my mom and brother's dogs are Jessie, our bichon frise, Molly, our puggle, and Cero, our tan cocker spaniel .Our very first family dog was Blackie, a poodle mix, and we were blessed to have her with us for 20 years. Also, I pet sat for my neighbors' cats when I was younger. And been around cats too as several of my close friends have them as part of their families. I am very use to being around pets and familiar with how to meet & greet, bring a calm and warm energy and be very patient, letting them get to know me at their pace. I can just cuddling with them on the couch or take walks in the beautiful nature around us in Monterey. Giving them attention, care and having fun are the goal. I am also very use to taking care of poo and some of the messier realities of loving pets. I would be honored to care for your pet and having you entrust me with your fur-baby family member. A-Chau is very responsive to what you and your pet may need. She took the time and care to understand my cat, her behavior, her preferences, even that Daylight Savings Time would affect her feeding schedule! I highly recommend A-chau for any type of pet sitting.
Achau is a great dog lover. She takes excellent care of anyone’s pets that she watches. She makes sure the dogs get plenty of walking time and good attention. I would definitely recommend her services. She puts her heart into animals.

I do not care for pets inside my home at this time because I am renting. In my clients home I care for your pets like I do my own with the utmost care and personalization to their personality and needs. I do my best to know as much as I can about their particular routines and familiar favorite foods, toys or other activities. And I am conscientious of keeping a routine that makes them comfortable. As well as taking care of being in my clients home by being clean and respectful of their personal space.

I’d like to know your cat or dog’s personality, how old and what breed s/he is. As well, for dogs, it’s good to know if his/her has been walked by dog walkers before and, for all pets, to understand if they are used to meeting new people and other animals. For example, are they comfortable around children or crowds? If not, then I will try to avoid those situations. For dogs, it’s helpful to know their usual walking routine, habits or preferences. Also, I’d like to know the common commands your dog is familiar with so I use understandable words to keep him/her happy and safe on our walks. During our meet & greet, it’s also helpful for me to walk your dog to get a feel for how s/he walks so I am most prepared to make it a comfortable and enjoyable experience on our walks. And it’s my recommendation to have a chance to use the house key you provide and allow me to come to your house for the first time while you’re still there to see how your cat or dog reacts when I enter his/her own home. I believe it helps to make your pet feel more comfortable when I open the door on my own in the beginning, if the owner is present and reacts positively to my presence.
A typical day
Your dog can enjoy a leisurely walk and/or toy playtime . It will be a fun time getting some good exercise, sniffing and fresh air time. If there’s a favorite nearby park your dog enjoys, I’d love to know. If your dog prefers a more low key walk, we can walk around your familiar neighborhood.

I work from home building an online art shop and illustration career so I have some flexibility to set my own schedule though I schedule weekends for vacation requests on a case by case basis. I work closely with my pet clients to set the best schedule. For regular weekly schedules, I offer drop-ins and/or walks are for working pet parents from Monday to Thursday only.
