Za’Bella watched my dog Lily for nearly 2 weeks & did a phenomenal job! Lily absolutely loved her & was sad when she left. She is great at communicating & making sure your animal has everything they need. As well as making sure they’re getting enough play time/interaction. I absolutely will be booking with her again!

Alina did a great job taking care of my babies, and played with my German Shepard a lot, who loves balls! I wish I had more written updates besides the pictures, but besides that she did a great job! Would book with her again

About: I've been a pet parent for almost all of my adult like. I love all dogs and friendly affectionate cats. I always follow parent rules but love to spoil the critters I sit with. I am semi-retired and all of the work I do can be done remotely. When I'm with your pet at home I'm there! My sweet 90-year old mom takes care of my senior little Herbie the Love Pup while I'm with other critters. I follow all pet parent routine and rules. I always use client provided leashes and harnesses. I have good leash training skills as well. I follow timely feeding and treating schedules as defined by the pet parents. I customize pet care base on the family's needs.

About: I grew up on a farm and took part in daily care of all animals big and small. My love for animals started at a young age as I made it my personal mission to convince my parents to allow me to take in literally dozens of strays abandoned on our dirt road over the years. I’ve had a soft spot for animals my entire life. I believe every animal deserves to be treated with compassion and dignity. In my adult life, I’ve fostered young puppies, cared for and trained a shepsky mix for the last 7 years, and have cared for cats ranging from bottle fed kittens to senior cats as old as 25 (RIP Miss Priss 🥲) and am now the proud parent of a dart frog tadpole! I can work with you to determine what schedule works best for your pets needs. My children are in school three days a week and play with family and friends every other day, so it’s no problem for me to slip out for 30-60 minutes to tend to your furry friends. I have one cat, one dog, and two young children. For these reasons, I prefer to pet sit in your home because that is the environment that your pet is most comfortable with, but *can* offer boarding in my home to established clients if your pet is amenable to sharing our space! My pets each have their own room and I have implemented a crate & rotate system for other animal guests in the past to ensure that there are no unfortunate accidents. My husband will be present to supervise our children, but trust that the privilege of caring for your pet is all mine. We have a large fenced in back yard and a quiet safe neighborhood for all of the outdoor enrichment your pet could dream of! For drop in pet care, I will follow your rules and routines exactly as you relay them to me and can provide you with an abundance of pictures to show you that your pets are in good hands.

Breanna was Fantastic!!! We went on a one week vacation, and she sent us pictures daily of our small Chihuahua, and updates on not only how he was a joy to keep for us but how he was enjoying her being there. The photos that she sent really put us at ease because this was the first trip without him with us!!! I would proudly recommend her with a great review, and to my fellow fur owners?

Kelsey did a wonderful job with our girls and our home while we were out of town. She has great communication and updated us on our girls. They were very well taken care of and spoiled just as we spoil them. I felt very relaxed on our trip knowing she was taking care of them. She's a great pet sitter and highly recommend her for visits and Longer stays. .

About: Jackson Tn! I have many years of pet caring experience, As an 18 year old college student I want to be my skills and abilities to use and help my community! This is great for my future career and I believe it will continue to broaden my abilities and grow the narrow parts of my mind! I live on a ranch with 3 donkeys, 2 dogs, and 13 chickens! I absolutely adore them and I would do anything to see my animals flourish and for me the biggest thing with Dog sitting is trust, I believe that animals were put here to be the best friend you will only ever experience once. I also have had many years of experience with puppy handling, I understand the dedication it takes to raise wonderful babies! I’m here to help! Memphis TN :) Pet care will be based upon my availability as a student athlete I have a lot of obligations/ responsibilities, and a young adult, but for my major this will definitely be a good help and jump start. I am as flexible as possible! I am an extremely trust oriented person. I want the relationship with my clients to be as organic and positive as possible. I do have PUPPY handling skills as I have many pets!, I am very open to strict instructions and I want to be able to provide the best experience as possible! I try to communicate as much as possible and be courteous to your time!!!

About: There has never been a time in my life when I didn't have pets. People say I spoil my pets but I call it unconditional love. It's a 24 hour job. My pets eat home cooked meals and filtered water. They go to the doctor before I do. I plan my days so they never have to be alone. They are my babies. I have a large fenced in backyard, tons of different toys, and healthy food. Is can't even spend a night away from my fur babies.

About: I’ve cared for animals throughout my life growing up in a small town in Tennessee, including dogs, cats, and even a bird. These experiences taught me how to care for animals beyond their basic needs—to be patient, understand their behavior, respect their boundaries, and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I enjoy spending time with animals and staying active. I have a flexible schedule and can make time throughout the week for walks, check-ins, feeding, and giving pets the attention and care they need I treat every pet differently because they all have their own personality and needs. I pay attention to their behavior, give them time to get comfortable with me, and make sure they feel safe rather than forcing interaction. I’ll follow their normal routine, keep them active and cared for, and give them the same patience and attention I would want someone to give my own pets.

FAQs for House Sitting - Medina

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 46 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Medina. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Medina walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Medina maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Medina choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
