About: I love my fur babies, and I have been taking care of many different fur babes for a very long time. i’m quite experienced with my bigger breeze, my smaller breeze and my kitty best friends. I have a lot of space for them to play and have a great time and just enjoy themselves while they’re with me if you want your pets to be in a safe happy plate for environment book with me😊 I currently have an open schedule so I have all the time in the world with your fur babies and am available to give them my undivided attention! I always separate the pet to keep everyone safe and happy. And I do cage pet overnight for safety reasons. I don’t mix big dogs and small dogs

About: have hands-on experience working with dogs in multiple dog daycare environments, where I’ve cared for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. My experience includes supervising group play, feeding, walks, cleaning, monitoring behavior, and making sure dogs remain safe and comfortable throughout the day. I’ve also provided regular pet-sitting and one-on-one care, so I understand that every dog has different routines, energy levels, and needs. Working in dog daycares has taught me how important patience, consistency, communication, and paying attention to a dog’s body language are. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and take their care seriously. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved, entertained, and comfortable while they’re in my care. 🐾🤍 Pet care is already a natural part of my everyday life. I currently care for Apollo, my two kittens, and a small dog, so I’m very used to building my day around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter care, cleaning, and giving each animal individual attention. Because I already have pets at home, I understand how important consistency and routine are. I make sure I have enough time in my day to give the pets in my care the attention they need rather than treating pet sitting like something I’m squeezing in. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for other people’s pets fits naturally into my lifestyle. 🐶🐱🤍 Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m caring for them in your home, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, medication or basic care, and plenty of attention. I have a fenced-in home, which gives dogs a secure space to get outside, play, and enjoy some fresh air. I also have experience caring for my own pets—Apollo, my two kittens, and a small dog—so I understand how important it is to be patient and attentive to each animal’s individual personality and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and routines and make sure their environment stays clean and comfortable. I also keep owners updated so they can have peace of mind knowing their pets are doing well while they’re away. 🐶🐱🤍

About: This will be my first time being a sitter and I am extremely excited. I have always wanted to be a pet sitter since a little girl. I really love pets and have one back in my home country but do to moving countries I wasen’t allowed to bring her due to new US rules! I really miss her and I would treat those who I would sit as my own pet. I have this whole week off due to inventory at my job so I have 24/7 for the dates 19-25 of july. I don’t do anything else. I have a big back yard for all who would love a great play time. Cars barely pass by my house. I have a 2 store house which can be used by the pets !

“Paw-some job as always! James has been my go to dog/house sitter for years even before becoming a registered sitter on rover. He really takes care of things as if they are his own, if not better! This time he came to feed our 4 dogs while we were out of town. He couldn’t find where the water dish was for our back yard so he filled one up just in case. I appreciate James so much and hope more people come to know him as the dependable person he is.”

About: For many years I've been the go-to choice for friends and family who needed a responsible and trustworthy pet sitter. Considering my life long love of animals big and small, Rover allows me to help pet owners find someone dependable to help care for their fuzzy friends. Whether caring for big playful dogs, proud wary cats, or even sensitive older pets my top priority is always the peace of mind of the pet parent. I work remotely which allows me to have plenty of freedom to care for pets during most people's work hours. The only weekdays that I'm typically unavailable are Fridays during the Fall season. I keep detailed notes for each client's preferences and instructions so that everything goes as smoothly as possible. My top priority is always the peace of mind of the pet parent so whatever rules and routines you already have in place for your pets will be maintained while I care for them.

“Five stars isn't enough! I left my cat, Berlioz, in Jordyn’s care and she went completely above and beyond. Berlioz can be a bit particular with new people, but she instantly put him at ease. I received detailed daily updates, awesome photos, and complete peace of mind knowing he was being so well taken care of. She didn't just cover the basics like feeding and litter box duty—she spent genuine quality time with him and gave him extra affection. I came home to a super happy, relaxed cat. I’ll definitely be rebooking next time I'm away!”

About: Hi! I’m Patience ! With over 10 years of experience caring for pets—ranging from energetic puppies to senior cats—I treat every pet like part of my family. As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets need tailored care to feel comfortable while you're away. A typical day in my care includes a morning walk, plenty of play sessions with chew toys, and quiet cuddles in the evening. For seniors, I focus on gentle, short walks and ensuring they have soft bedding and a calm environment. I work from home full-time, which means your pet will have company throughout the day. My schedule is flexible, allowing for frequent potty breaks every 2–3 hours and mid-day play sessions. I usually take a longer walk in the late afternoon to help them burn off energy before dinner. Your pet's safety is my top priority. I require a meet-and-greet to ensure we are a perfect match. I only communicate through Rover for your security and mine. I am highly observant of behavior, ensuring pets are never put in stressful situations and that their environment is secure.

Dogs are like humans, with legs lol I understand them and they always tend to come to me with out me speaking, its like a spiritual connection we have with out words. I will communicate with standard commands and use treats (if allowed) to gain trust & help them feel comfortable while mommy/daddy are away or on vacation. I live in a town home with a big back yard also a dog park! So they will get plenty of outside play time and explore the new scenery. Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
