“Ziggy had a great time with Leaha and Snowy! She was accommodating with pick up & drop-off and sent lots of updates. I highly recommend Leaha and plan to use her in the future.”

“This was the first time we have utilized a “ Dog Sitter “ and couldn’t be happier. Simone has been so accommodating, making our dogs transitions to staying with her easier. Simone took the time to meet us for walks with her and her dogs, provided day sitting and then overnight stays to prepare our dog for his stay. We are so blessed to have Simone! She cares and loves our dogs as her own. Receiving pictures of our Dog playing, sleeping and having fun reassures his quality care. We consider Simone more as a family friend than a sitter. She is truly “one of a kind “. We live 45 miles from Simone; the distance is worth her quality care. Thank you.”

“Amazing dog sitter! Super reliable, caring, and great with communication. We got regular updates and our pup came home happy and relaxed. It’s clear they truly love what they do. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

“Kelly & Tyler did a very good job taking care of my cats. My cats don't get along so, Kelly watched one of my cats in her house. Came to my house everyday to take care of the other. All went well. Highly recommended.”

About: I have hands-on experience with high-energy dogs and know how to keep them happy, exercised, and mentally engaged. I’m patient and attentive, with a gentle approach that works well for both playful pups and older dogs who need a little extra care. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. As a veteran Marine and someone who has competitively trained dogs since 2020, I approach pet care with structure, consistency, and discipline. I make sure pets are cared for with structure, safety, and attention to detail. I follow consistent feeding schedules, provide exercise and play tailored to each pet’s needs, and keep their environment clean and comfortable. With my background in competitive dog training, I also incorporate positive reinforcement and mental stimulation to ensure pets are not only well cared for but also engaged and happy.
“Jessica did a great job loving on our two dogs & cat! She sent us pictures of all of them & kept us up -to-date on how they were doing. Plus, our house was clean, & she answered us right away if we needed her to do something at the house while we were away! Thank you Jessica! ❤🙂❤”

About: I’ve loved dogs my whole life and I was lucky enough to care for my soul dog for 13 wonderful years. He was a true member of our family who traveled the world with us while we were a military family, became the guardian of my children over the years and the best friend we could ever ask for. While we currently do not have a dog, we have a tremendous amount of love to give your dog and help out as we can! I’m currently a stay at home mom so I can be flexible around hosting a dog. Other than school drop off/pick up’s and running occasional errands, I can give all the love and attention to your dog during the day. I have a fenced yard and a large crate for the times I’m not home, nighttime or when I can’t supervise your dog due to running errands to ensure that your dog is safe. We currently don’t have any other dogs or pets (other than a small hamster) that could cause issues for not getting along so this could be an ideal set up for someone who would like their dog to get one on one attention and care. I’m only hosting one dog at a time.
About: I work remotely and love taking walks throughout the day to stop looking at screens. I go for frequent runs, walks and hikes and love taking a dog with me, just let me know if you would like your pup to get extra exercise! I live in downtown CDA area with a large fenced yard and a great neighborhood for walks! I only take in one dog at a time. I had both dogs and cats growing up and I'm a proud Aunty of all my friends dogs when they are out of town. I always look forward to it! If you have a strong high energy dog, don't sweat it. I had a retriever/chow mix for 14 years and I'm stronger than I look. :) Currently I work in real estate so I make my own hours and have plenty of time to walk your pup and give them extra attention I have a large fenced yard, a good size home for them to roam around, and a great neighborhood for long walks. <3 danyelle .
“Id give Brandi ten stars if that was possible. She loved my dogs like I would. She kept them exercised and entertained. She has a nice home that was very clean and tidy. I picked up 2 happy and calm german shepherds. Brandi sent me pictures and texts on the dogs well being every other day, which allowed me to relax and enjoy my cruise. I'll definitely be using her services again!”

“Kate was communicative, kind, helpful, consistent, and most of all a great experience for my little meatball Mingus! I received a slew of adorable photo updates during his stay and am 100% satisfied with the care he received. Thank you so much!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I love all animals and treat them all as if they were my own! I currently do not work-so my schedule is wide open and flexible to take care of all of your pets needs. I am open to walking, dog sitting and more! I have a dog to keep your fur baby company of staying in my home. I do not have a fenced yard but like to go for walks, and in park adventures.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Meadowhurst home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Meadowhurst.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Meadowhurst sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
