“This was our first time using Rover and I'm so glad we did. Christy was great. We did a "meet & greet" in advance and introduced our pooch (Brody) to her home and pups. It was nice to leave Brody in a home vs. boarding in a kennel. We received daily photos and videos while we were on vacation. Brody was clearly comfortable with the whole experience and made friends while he was there. An example of Christy's love for dogs: Brody played down in a mud puddle one day and we received a video of him being blown dry after a bath. Dog lover! We're so pleased and would recommend to others. Thanks Christy!.”

“My dog was well cared for. Christy quickly responded to messages. She gave flexible drop off and pick up times. I would recommend her services and will rebook in the future.”

“Great sitters who definitely gave my dog a wonderful time and caring home to stay at. Whole family was giving mine plenty of attention and would happily use them again next time.”

“Excellent communication. My dogs were happy when I picked them up. I was nervous to leave my dogs b cause I never had left them before this past weekend. I felt very secure leaving Buddy and Louie with Ashley and Tyler. Will definitely be rebooking, I won't even consider leavingy pets with anyone else!”

“Sandra was the perfect pet sitter. Our little Sam loved exploring her fenced in yard and playing with her little fur babies. I would definitely recommend Sandra and will be using her again in the future.”

“Our golden stayed with Emily for a little over a week and had the best time! As soon as we pulled up to her house my golden ran to her door, which to me is a fantastic sign since our golden has a lot of anxiety. Emily sent many pictures and updates throughout our trip that I didn’t need to worry if she was having a good time. If we need to travel again we will definitely be rebooking!”

“We love leaving Ford with Tiffany and her family. He always has the best time, and we know he is safe and well cared for. We are thankful he has a place he feels welcome. He is excited when we pull up to her house!”

“Aimee was an incredible! She was loving, caring, and communicated extremely well with us. She really loves dogs and truly enjoys taking care of them. Our dogs were given so much attention and felt at home while staying with Aimee an entire week. She played with them and was attentive to all their needs. We felt comfortable leaving our fur babies in Aimee’s care. We highly recommend Aimee.”

“Chuck took exceptional care of my dog, Ella. She is a senior dog with some recent health issues and he was so good with her..she requires medications and he made sure she got what she needed. She’s also not used to a lot of people other than family and hasn’t been boarded for several years so she was pretty whiny and clingy for the first few days but she settled in. I so appreciate his patience with her. I would 💯 recommend Chuck for pet sitting! Five stars!!”

“Really glad we found Clarence & Lindsay! They were absolutely amazing with our dog, Suki, while we were away on a 2.5-week vacation. They made our trip completely stress-free! We received daily updates with photos and videos of Suki playing, running around their big yard, going on walks, and just having the best time with their 4 dogs & a cat! She’s a very high-energy dog who needs lots of attention and activity, and they gave her exactly that. it felt like Suki was on her own vacation too! 😂 They also continued working on her training and she followed thru with the commands she knows. It was so reassuring to know she was not only being cared for, but also getting plenty of structure and attention. I trust Clarence & Lindsay wholeheartedly with Suki and would absolutely have them watch her again. We’ll definitely continue using their service in the future. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pup like family!!!”

“Ella took wonderful care of Simba! She was very attentive and made sure he was comfortable and well cared for throughout his stay. Communication was great, and we felt confident leaving Simba with her. He came home happy and doing well. We really appreciate her taking such good care of him and would definitely book with Ella again. Highly recommend! 🐶❤️”

“Our Duke had a great time at Brittney’s house. She sent me pictures how he was playing with her dog until they were exhausted! 😄 However, it was only for one night but I would recommend her. She loves what she does! 🐾”

“Our dogs had such a good time playing with Courtney & Kieth! My sweet dog even went into her first heat, and they handled it like pros! So glad our girls could be loved on while we travelled for a week!”

“Caroline was very sweet and patient with Pepper. She took the time to send several pictures and videos during the day to show me how great of a time was Pepper having in her company. I am so glad to have found Caroline to take care of Pepper the same way she takes care of her dogs. Thank you!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Maysville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Maysville.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Maysville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
