Canela loved staying with Jessica, Ted, and their kids! We received many photo updates which we greatly appreciated. It was also great that the family was able to stay with Canela most of the time, as she is used to people being around most of the day. She came home to us happy, healthy, and worn out from all her playing during what we would call a 5 star stay!

Heather has the biggest wonderfullest grounds for dogs to run around and smell. My Odie takes for ever to get worn out, but that goal was totally met with Heather. He looked so peaceful and content. Thank you!

Stephanie is an amazing animal care taker! She completely spoiled Kula, my Labrador Mix. Kula made herself at home and comfortable. She stayed in constant contact with video and picture updates. She asked me if Kula was allowed on couches and beds. I agreed to making that exception since we were out and just wanted her happy and not lonely. Kula totally fell in love with Stephanie (as did my 4 year old human. Thank you so very very much Stephanie! I truly recommend her for anyone's first time or any animal you need to be in good care! Will ask Stephanie again to babysit for future dog boarding!

About: I’ve owned a dog my entire adulthood, my miniature schnauzer that we rescued lived to be 15 & we had her 12 of those years. My current dog is a certified therapy dog that works with me. I did the training with her. I have a lot of flexibility with my work schedule & being home. If I’m at work my spouse is home. So one of us are usually home at all times. We have a friendly poodle mix & an enclosed/fenced in yard with a privacy fence. They will have free range of the house & frequent outdoor breaks for exercise. :)

We had a wonderful experience with Dana. We were hesitant to leave our new puppy with anyone, but based off her reviews we felt reasonably comfortable with her. After meeting her, and her dogs, the worries dissolved. She genuinely cares and enjoys her time with the animals. She kept in contact and sent us several updates and photos of Mila. It really helped alleviate the anxiety over leaving her with someone new. We had an overall great experience with Dana and definitely recommend her to anyone. We will be booking her again when we need to board her.

Hailey was very good with our husky pup. She kept our puppy at her house for 6-days while we were on vacation. She communicated very well and sent pictures throughout our pups stay. It was nice to have a safe place for our pup to stay while we were on vacation. We will definitely being using Hailey again in the future!

This was a great experience for our dog Lily, and therefore for us as well. This was our first time leaving our 3 year old golden, so we were a little apprehensive until we met Ashley and her 2 great dogs. We were gone for over a week and we never worried about our dog; we knew she was a good hands and getting lots of attention and great care. Ashley sent us pictures, videos, and updates. This was the first time Lily really had extended play with other dogs plus Ashley's kids; it was clear our dog was happy, safe, and probably didn't want to leave :-) Couldn't have asked for better care or a better experience. We highly recommend Ashley and hope to use her again soon!

Katrina was GREAT! We were a little worried because we'd not gotten a chance to meet her before we got into town and we were 8 hours away from home but as soon as we met her we knew that she'd take great care of the dogs. She has two smaller dogs of her own that she kept separate from ours while we were there, but by the time we picked Hope and Lou up a few days later everyone was hanging out together. She was quick to update when I checked in on the dogs, but really, I felt comfortable enough that I only texted twice. I would absolutely leave them with her again when I'm back in the area.

I am so happy I chose Lisa to watch my two 3 1/2 month old kittens! Both of my kittens were on medicine they had to receive every 12 hours and she had no issues administering them, even with my skittish boy that was receiving a liquid antibiotic through a syringe. She gave me plenty of updates (through photos, texts and video) and if she wasn't sure of anything she messaged me to confirm first. A+. I will definitely be coming back to her in the future! 😊

About: I’ve been helping friends and family take care of their animals while they are away since I was a kid. I love babysitting furry friends. I work certain days of the week at another job really early in the mourning and home by 1130 am. I’m a very quiet shy person but I love animals. I work certain days early in the mourning and I’m home by 11:30 a.m. I need a 4 day in advance booking. I love animals so I wanted a job to where I can work them. I spoil every animal I come across. Everyone will be fed. I have treats, toys, leashes, a special dog monitor for if I do have an overnight on a day I have to work. I do have an extra crate if you feel your dog needs crated. If your animal requires special treatment such as medication I will need something written out for that such as name of medication time taken etc. I care for every animal as if they were my own. Their health and safety is my main priority at all times.

About: What sets us apart is that dogs aren’t just pets in our home—they’re family. We’ve been caring for dogs together since 2013, and our animals live fully alongside us in everyday life, from couch snuggles to family adventures. Our dogs are regularly vetted, deeply loved, and yes—often spoiled. In addition to long-term pet care, we’re proud foster parents with The Road Home Animal Project and have lovingly fostered over 22 dogs (and counting), each with unique personalities and needs. This experience has made us patient, adaptable, and confident caring for dogs of all ages, energy levels, and backgrounds. Your pup won’t just be watched—they’ll be welcomed into a calm, happy home with a whole family devoted to their comfort and care. Pet care is woven into our daily life. My husband works remotely five days a week, I work part-time, and evenings and weekends are open—perfect for one-on-one attention, extra spoiling, and playtime with our dogs who love having new friends. We care for pets like family, offering fenced yard play, neighborhood walks, and crate options when needed. Our friendly, sometimes vocal dogs enjoy playmates, and pets are fully included in our home with supervision, comfy furniture, and attentive care.

I will be more than happy to care for your baby just as those on Rover whom have cared for mine. Send me a message to book! I am available evenings and weekends. I do have a full time job and do this in my free time. With my family support I can help others. My home is spacious and my dogs are very social with other dogs. I have a large back yard that is fully fenced in for more time to play outside. I am able to handle large dogs or any breeds. Happy to walk or sit with them in your home if needed. Ready to give lots of love.

  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
