“Tracy was beyond amazing! We put her in a very strange circumstance of helping get a foster dog to us. She was truly so great & communicative with us! She helped us sooo much & it apparent how much she loves dogs! I only wish she lived closer to us so we could use her regularly!! 12/10 experience!”

“Susan was awesome! My husband is extremely particular about the dog. I’m actually shocked he agreed to leave him with a stranger. It could not have gone any better! Susan took Jack for lots of walks and she and her husband even took him on the boat! We got lots of pictures and updates on how he was doing. We definitely hope she’s available to watch Jack next time we travel!”

“I can't say enough about how much peace of mind we had leaving our puppy of only 2 1/2 months old with Ashley. She sent us updates and pictures during the four days he spent with her. She gave us some helpful hints to work on training him. She was great!”

“Mirriam and Terrell were the best rovers we’ve ever had! We received plenty of updates, pictures, and videos of our dog being spoiled, playing, and sleeping! They were also kind enough to watch our dog last minute with no issues while we went on a camping trip. We felt very relieved and safe that our pet was in good hands. We highly recommend them!!!”

“Bridget was amazing!!! I would recommend her to everyone! Couldn’t wait to pick up the little ones, but I knew they were safe and sound. Will definitely get Bridget anytime I need a sitter!!!”

“Pepper had a blast!!! She got to hang with some feathered friends. Now we can plan our next trip knowing we can leave her for a few days and she will have fun memories as well. Thanks so much for fitting us in last minute.”
“I had to leave my pup for 5 days to fly back home and was honestly so anxious but Kathleen sent me plenty of updates and took great care of her! She was extremely accommodating and treated my dog like she was one of her own. I definitely recommend and would re-book with her in the future!!”

About: I have lived with dogs and cats throughout my life and have more than 30 years of experience caring for them. I currently care for several pets in my own home, so I understand that every animal has its own personality, routine, energy level, and individual needs. I carefully follow instructions for feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, litter box care, walks, playtime, and companionship. I take time to help each pet feel comfortable and keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. You can expect dependable care, clear communication, a detailed Rover Card, and several photos after every visit. I prefer to meet before the first recurring or extended booking so I can learn your pet’s routine, confirm access instructions, and understand exactly what they need. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. I keep my Rover calendar current and only accept visits that fit my availability. This allows me to arrive within the agreed time window and give each pet attentive care without rushing. Before the first booking, I prefer to meet you and your pet, review the care routine, and confirm access instructions. During each visit, I follow your directions closely, check doors and gates, refresh food and water, and make sure your pet is safe and comfortable before I leave. I provide photos and a clear update after every visit.
“Phenomenal Experience with Michele G.! Michele went above and beyond to make sure she had everything in place for a smooth, happy weekend with our fur baby. From the moment we arrived, we could tell she was a genuinely kind and caring person—Skye immediately warmed up to her, tail wagging and full of excitement. Throughout our trip, Michele was always available for quick, friendly communication, which gave us great peace of mind. When we returned, Skye greeted us in high spirits, clearly having enjoyed her time. We’re so grateful for Michele’s attentiveness and warmth, and we will absolutely be rebooking with her in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Kristen was great at taking care of our pup while we were traveling. Kristen is very thorough and took time to understand the needs of our dog. She was great at communicating and sending updates!”
“This was my first time leaving my dog with someone. I was so happy that Ollie was happy. I didn’t feel stressed out about her while I was gone. Jennifer communicated every day with me and sent pictures. I am great full to her and her husband for taking care of Ollie for me! I will definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter!”

“I feel like Kyle struck the jackpot when we found Renae for boarding! It was easy to arrange pick up and drop off and we were able to meet up beforehand so that Kyle could meet Renae's two dogs. Renae kept me posted with pictures and updates about how Kyle was doing. I'm a new dog owner and Kyle is young, so I didn't know how he'd adjust to a 2+ week stay with someone else, but he had a great time and was lucky to be able to find a new playmate in Renae's younger dog. I highly recommend Renae!”

“Debbie and Reggie took very good care of Daisy and Patch. They communicated well with us and sent daily photos. They clearly kept our pups active and attended to. Feed well even our dogs can be finicky eaters. Would definitely use them again.”
“Marko and his family were excellent host to Nala. He provided daily updates with photos and videos and really made her feel like a part of the family. He was quick to respond to the request to dog sit and I will definitely leave Nala with him in the future. Thank you Marko for welcoming Nala into your home.”

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
100% of Marseilles sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Marseilles landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Marseilles home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Marseilles.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Marseilles sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
