About: I volunteered for 1.5 years at a shelter in Montana and most recently worked at a doggie daycare/boarding facility as a handler and trainer for approximately a year. I personally have been a dog owner since 2013 (not including family dogs growing up). I have experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and demeanors. I have extensive hands-on training in reading dog body language. I am particularly well-versed in building a good relationship with nervous/fearful dogs. I treat every dog as if they were my own pet! I’m currently working full-time and looking to do pet care on the side. My schedule can vary from week to week but we can figure out what works best for both of our schedules. I always respect a dog’s boundaries and never do anything that they are uncomfortable with. I am a very confident handler and that helps in building a trusting relationship with a new dog. Even if the dog immediately wants to be my best friend, I let them come to me and I let them set the tone and pace. The most important thing with any dog is patience and not forcing them into a situation that could be stressful for them. I have successfully trained two dogs that I adopted with behavioral issues including reactivity to other dogs & people, and resource guarding. I believe in positive reinforcement ALWAYS. If a correction is needed I use a firm but calm voice, and praise when the inappropriate behavior stops. You can rest assured that I will never do anything to harm your beloved pet.

About: I tend to be fun, responsible, and calming for them. I like it and take pride in it. The best thing about caring for animals, is seeing their personalities, what they consider manners, and seeing them light up when they're being respected on their terms too. The best part of my mornings on my family farm, is taking a hike with the Bassett. Neither of us are satisfied with our morning until it happens. She needs it, and deserves it. While I'm away from her, I need to hike, or I get soft I ask owners what their pets needs and personalities are. What they consider manners, and if they are tricksters, what to expect. All animals are their own kind of person, and they deserve to be treated as such.
About: Huge dog lover...I’m definitely the type of person to pay more attention to the dog in the room than the humans haha :) I have very open availability and would love to help out by caring for your furry friend(s)! As a dog owner myself I understand the level of trust that comes with leaving your pets with others. I’m quite active and can assure that they will receive chances to exercise if needed, in addition of course to love & affection. As a house-sitter, I am also happy to help out with housekeeping and yard work. I am also very experienced with dogs who have experienced trauma and have issues such as anxiety. About: I have taken care of my two black labs (one puppy & one senior) as well as the pets of neighbors, family, and friends. I am looking for some extra work during my seasonal breaks. For work, I am a ski lift operator in the winter and a climbing course attendant in the summer @ Bromley Mountain. I work seasonal jobs in the summer and winter months. Spring and Fall is my availability to walk, feed, play, and keep your dog engaged. I will make sure that the dog is given food, water, playtime, and attention at said times :). I will also make sure that feces is picked up.
