About: I have ample room and time to love on your fur babies!! I currently do not have any dogs but love them all! I also have a basement with a separate gate if your pet needs space by itself. I live close to the mountains so if you want to take the day to hike/explore sperryville I am your go to:) I work from home and love my animals!! I am fortunate to have the flexibility to take care of my farm animals and others when needed. I own a small farm with plenty of space for walking and also have a fenced in garden than I can use during the colder months for secure play for dogs.

About: While my last 10 years of employment have been in the schools and therapy centers, I have been caring for animals since I was about 10 years old. I grew up volunteering at dog training facilities and learning “tricks of the trade”. As a former cat owner and current dog owner, I am a firm believer that pets are a vital family member and deserve all the love and care that humans do (sometimes more). I have currently taken time off from being a full time school administrator to focus on my family. While my children are in school and activities, I am looking to spend time with animals and help others keep their pets well-taken care of while they may be away or working. My family has 3 dogs, and for 3 years we fostered special needs dogs from the animal shelter: litters of puppies, sick dogs, pregnant dogs, and dogs with special medical needs. I volunteered as a dog walker at our animal shelter. I worked for a year at a dog boarding facility handling all aspects of dog care: feeding, medication, walks and play, cleaning. I attended puppy socialization and training classes with my own dogs. I am a college sophomore available for summer, weekend and holiday pet sitting in and near Greene County. I can be with your pets overnight from dinner time to after breakfast. I have a flexible part-time daytime job, so can return for daytime potty and visits as needed. I start by understanding your pets daily routine, medical and care needs, and your expectations. I will make a visit to introduce myself before your trip. While you are away, I will send regular updates and ask any questions.

About: I am a professional animal behaviorist an animal trainer. I've trained dogs, cats, wolves, dolphins, birds and more. I trained my first dog when I was 10 years old in 1984. I began training animals and providing pet care professionally in 1998. I have been an animal behaviorist for 5 years and hold a master's degree in clinical animal behavior. Anyone who tells you they can train your dog or fix any issues on just their walks with your pet is pulling your leg. What I can do, is care for your pet in your absence and work with you on any training and behavioral issues your pet may have. I have fairly open availability for drop ins and dog walks. I don't provide overnight care or boarding. Special arrangements can be made if you require training or behavioral assistance. I rely on the pet guardian's guidance in what routine their animals are comfortable with. I relay solely on positive reinforcement based training. I don't work with shock, pinch, prong, spray, or vibrate collars. As a professional in this field for over a decade, I highly recommend against retractable leashes for the mechanical failure and safety issues they cause. Feel free to look up images of the injuries they cause. Be warned, some are fairly graphic.

About: With a diverse background in pet care, I have to ability to provide a multitude of services. I have experience with daily walks, pet bathing, and drop in visits. I have house sat many times, both short and long term stays. Reach out with any questions! I’m a full time college student and part time server.
