“Elizabeth was wonderful. Elizabeth gave daily updates with text, pictures and video. Bailey had a wonderful time and loved being around the other dogs on property. Most of all Bailey was able to run free and basically be in the same environment that she has at home. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats & kittens and dogs with their puppies for family, friends and workmates. They’ve snuggled on my lap and slept in my bed and their comfort and routine are my priority. I’m currently working from home so I would be with your pet continuously. Boarding could be any day of the week including weekends….and holidays too. I have a fenced yard and large porch where your pet will be comfortable…although your pet would never be outside alone. I start my day when they do and I’m near a state park where walks are wonderful.

“Courtney & Kam were amazing! We had a super informative meet and greet in the beginning. They had my boy over Christmas and I got pictures every day. I could tell how happy he was there. When I picked him up, he was super happy to see me, but I could also tell he was kind of sad to leave them. They went on many hiking adventures and he came back just as clean. Courtney & Kam were super flexible with the time, especially when I had to extend my trip a couple days early. Overall, I would recommend them. I could tell they loved my pup with all their heart!! They were super professional and very kind. I also saw how well kept and nice their home was.”

“Walt kept our boy, Teddi, for four days. Teddi is a 3 yo intact English Shepherd who has never spent a night away from us. Teddi is a very well behaved and friendly boy but we were a bit anxious how this would go. Walt kept us well informed on how Teddi was doing. Walt gave Teddi great care and a lot of attention. When we returned to pick up Teddi, it was obvious that he and Teddy had bonded very well. We are very pleased with the care that Walt provided and will certainly use him again.”

About: My experience comes from caring for my own dog and my sister’s dog. I’m comfortable with frequent walks and potty breaks, including for dogs still working on house training. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, helping with bathing and basic grooming, administering routine medication, and measuring meals to follow specific dietary needs. I carefully follow owners’ instructions and am patient and happy to adapt to each dog’s routine, whether they enjoy outdoor time or prefer a slower pace. I’m a student with classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Most of my other commitments are remote, apart from occasional meetings, giving me flexibility around my classes. For boarding and overnight stays, I’m available Monday after 7:30 PM through Tuesday, as well as Saturdays and Sundays. For walks, drop-in visits, and longer care sessions, I’m available Tuesdays, Thursdays, Friday after 4:30 PN, and weekends. During longer stays, I can keep your pet company while completing schoolwork between care tasks. We’ll confirm your pet’s needs and my availability before booking. I’ll take time to learn your pet’s routine, behavior, and care needs before booking. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, and any household rules. I’ll keep dogs leashed on walks, check that doors and gates are secure, and send updates and photos. We’ll also discuss how long your pet can comfortably be alone to make sure my schedule is a good fit. For boarding, I live in an apartment with my own room and bathroom, and big living room. I also have a pool and nice area to have walks! I will spend a lot of time giving walks and staying outside if needed!

“Christina is a warm and attentive canine caregiver who will show your beloved furry friend the best time. She stayed by my dogs side the whole time I was away, and kept me in the loop a few times a day. I particularly appreciated the flexibility in communication as I personally don’t need updates every few hours. Will definitely be seeking her services in the future.”

About: Hi! I’m Gabby — a pre-veterinary Animal & Poultry Sciences student with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages and needs. Animals are my whole life, and I treat every pet like my own. What sets me apart: • Shadowed veterinarians, gaining safe handling and health-monitoring skills • Experienced Golden Retriever breeder (whelping, neonatal care, tube feeding, CPR) • 3+ years of professional pet sitting with strong references • Puppy specialist — raising and training puppies is part of my daily life • Extensive senior & special-needs experience — I’ve cared for my own senior and special-needs pets, so I understand mobility support, slow routines, medication schedules, cognitive changes, anxiety, and gentle handling • Volunteer at my local animal society • Animal science & pre-vet coursework (behavior, nutrition, health, genetics) • Dog owner, so I value structure, safety, and emotional support I’m confident with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments — from energetic puppies to older pets who need extra patience and care. You’ll get reliable communication, detailed updates, and truly personalized attention. Your pet will be safe, loved, and treated with the same compassion I give my own. Excited to meet your pet! 💛🐾 ⭐ My Daily Routine Pets fit naturally into my day. I start with morning feeding, meds (if needed), and a potty break or litter refresh. I only have one class a day, so I’m home most of the time to give walks, playtime, enrichment, and supervision. Throughout the afternoon and evening, I’m with the pets—doing walks, cuddles, behavior reinforcement, and keeping their space clean and comfortable. At night, I do final potty breaks/litter care, give any meds, and settle pets into a calm routine. Your pet is with me nearly all day, getting consistent care, attention, and love. In Your Home: I follow your routines exactly—feeding, walks, meds, and crate or free-roam preferences. I keep doors locked, maintain a clean environment, and make sure pets always have fresh water, a safe space to relax, and enrichment throughout the day. I send regular updates and photos so you always know your pet is safe. In My Home: Pets have a clean, pet-proofed space with supervised indoor time, enrichment, cuddles, and frequent potty breaks. I use slow introductions, low-stress handling, and separate areas if needed for shy or senior pets. I monitor behavior and health closely and maintain a calm, positive environment. I treat every pet with the same care, structure, and attention I give my own animals. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and trust always come first.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

94% of sitters in Mandeville can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Mandeville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Mandeville.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mandeville. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

You and your Mandeville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
