About: I grew up on a ranch in Vail Arizona and I have extensive experience in caring for animals of all breeds and species! I have one rescue dog (chihuahua) along with one snake and a bearded dragon. I understand that our pets are our family—often feeling like our own children—and I carry this sentiment with me when I care for other’s pets as well. I’m a part-time substitute teacher (I used to teach English in New Orleans before taking a break!) and I have a flexible schedule with summers and holidays off. I have an open yard on fish creek but I use leads for outdoor time, I welcome pets who are safe with this arrangement, are crate trained and who can get along with my friendly chihuahua Minnie who is also crate trained. When caring for a pet in your home I appreciate detailed information and I will never hesitate to reach out if I am curious or confused. If ever an emergency occurs and I cannot get ahold of you my judgment as a mother, an educator and a pet owner will dictate my actions.

About: My grandfather and mother both have an animal science background so I was raised with a knowledge of animals and how special they are from a very early age. Because of this, I care deeply for the well being of your pet and treat them as my own. I think animals reflect the best of human behavior. I believe that animals have an innate power to heal and connect that is awe-inspiring. This ability I witnessed first hand growing up with a golden retriever and a German shepherd, the later becoming a therapy dog and certified pet partner for my family. Lastly, I have taken care of dogs of all ages and breeds from 1 month to 16 years, from 15-130+lbs, and done some by house sitting, walking, and boarding. I love all dogs, but am partial to bigger ones because that it was I grew up with since age 10. I currently work full time so I am available after or before business hours during the weekdays (8am-5pm, Monday-Friday) or anytime on the weekends to walk, visit with or house/dog sit. I currently WFH on Fridays, so my house/dog sitting is limited to Friday - Sunday. I can commute from anywhere in the metro Albany or Saratoga Springs, NY region so dog walking and/or drop-in visits are posible any day, most weeks. I will do my best to make your dog feel like nothing has changed in their own space (your home). On walks and during play visits, I will make sure they are comfortable, constantly watching body language for anxiety, fear, and exhaustion, etc. and will let their behavior dictate the pace, duration, where we go, and when bathroom breaks are needed. I treat walk and play time as their time and I am just there to make sure they have the most enjoyable time possible, while protecting their safety and health.

She contacted me when Molly was shaking due to fireworks in our neighborhood to make sure this is typical. 8 forgot to warn her and was very happy she reached out to me. Molly had a wonderful time with her and was not as excited to see me as I expected. (because she was content with Maria). This was my first time with a house sitter and I was so pleased to return home with my house as clean as I left it. I will be using her again.”

When I care for pets in their own home, I keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible. This helps reduce stress and keeps them feeling secure. I always: - Follow your instructions carefully (feeding, walks, meds, etc.) - Keep your home tidy and clean up after pets - Provide companionship, cuddles, and playtime - Maintain their usual sleep, potty, and exercise habits - Bring in mail or water plants if needed - Send photos and updates so you know they’re doing great My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you're away.
