“Seena was absolutely wonderful! My request last minute and Seena responded quickly. I was coming from out of town and didn’t have a chance to do any meet up beforehand. Seena’s communication was wonderful from beginning to end. Her dogs, Benson and Rhoda were both sweet. I appreciated the updates and Seena willingness to be accommodating with my irregular schedule. My anxious dog was well cared for and was in great hands.”

“Dae took exceptional care of my dog. He agreed to a meet and greet a couple days prior to our booking so our dogs could be introduced. My dog is nervous meeting new dogs, so he graciously allowed me to hang out for about an hour while the dogs got to know each other. Great communication throughout, great oversight, and a thorough review of the stay upon pickup. Would definitely recommend! Thank you Dae”

“Deann was a great dog sitter! Very communicative throughout the stay and thoughtful prior to accepting the booking. Photos and videos everyday! I will definitely look to see if she is available in the future.”

“Char was super communicative and Georgia loved her stay at Char’s place! I loved getting photos from the host and felt super comforted when as soon as Georgia was dropped off she found some fun dog toys to squeak around at Char’s place. Great host!”

“Meranda and her family were wonderful to my dog, Coco. She was well cared for and Meranda sent me frequent updates on Coco. It will helped with my anxiety about leaving Coco for a week.”

“Nikie and her family were awesome with our 2 dogs. Ella got her exercise out in the fenced yard and Tillie got to rest inside just how they prefer! We received pictures throughout their visit, which we appreciated so much. Would recommend Nikie and wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again! Thank you so much Nikie, and your husband too, for taking such good care of our pups!”

“We would give Jill a thousand stars if I could. I can't say enough good things. My dog was a little high maintenance and she was so patient and loving with him. She sent us videos and pics multiple times a day and kept us updated. We leaned a few things about our dog that others never told us and are grateful for that. If you are thinking of asking Jill to watch your dog, don't have any hesitation. She is wonderful and it's very obvious loves all the furbabies! Thank you Jill! You don't know how much we appreciate you!”

“This was a fantastic first Rover experience. Our typical boarding place fell through due to changing restrictions, so we very last minute asked to book with Angelica. She was very accommodating and excellent with our dog. She even shared about how he spent his day and pictures.”

We have a large fenced in backyard and 2 dogs that love new friends. We have a kennel to use if needed. We go on daily walks with our own pups and will take yours with too!
“Amber and Doug are so good with Lola. She is always excited to see them, and Amber keeps me posted with lots of pictures of her activities, and stays in constant communication with me. I feel very comfortable leaving my baby girl with them. Thank you, Amber!”

About: I became a licensed Veterinary Technician in 2014 and have 10 years experience working in general practice. I have been dog sitting since high school. I currently work Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm and come home for lunch noon-1pm to care for my own small senior dog as well as 2 senior cats. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly 12 year old dog named Penny. Penny and guest dog will be separated if I am not home but I will have a camera I can view the guest dog as needed if I'm at work. The resident cats will not have access to the guest dog while I am away. My pets eat 4 meals a day and Penny is let outside 4-7 times a day.

Clean, pet-friendly home with two dog-friendly dogs and one mellow cat Experienced with small breeds, seniors, and pets needing special care Regular updates, photos, and communication Flexible availability and last-minute bookings welcomed Your pet won’t just be watched—they’ll be cared for like family. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I already care for my own pets every day—Luna, my chihuahua; Shadow, my poodle mix; and Jackson, my cat. I work a few days a week, so on my days off, I’m home and fully available to focus on caring for other pets. I use that time to give dogs walks, playtime, attention, and a calm, safe space. I also offer overnight boarding, which fits well with my schedule since I’m home in the evenings and nights. My routine is structured, and I make sure every pet in my care gets the time, love, and attention they need. In my home, pets get a calm, clean, and pet-friendly space where they’re treated like part of the family. I have two friendly dogs, Luna and Shadow, and a relaxed cat, Jackson. Whether they need cuddle time, quiet space, or exercise, I adjust to their needs. I also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing while you're away.

“Allison was awesome watching Chief by always keeping me updated on how my dog was doing with pictures as well. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a safe place to leave their dog for the day or weekend.”

“Kairouan is excellent! Quick responses to questions and schedule changes on my part. Huge variety of toys and a wonderful back yard. Picture posts reassured me that my dog was doing well. We will be booking again when our travel takes us to Grand Forks or Fargo for the weekend!”

“Perfect dog sitter, I boarded with her last minute and my dog had a great time playing in her back yard with the other pups, flight got delayed and it wasn’t an issue, would highly recommend to anyone. Came back home and picked up a very happy and tired pup”

“Amy is a very nice caring person. She communicates well. Took our dog for lots of walks. My dog had a good stay that would have been better is she had a secured backyard. On the other hand I did not investigate this but again she made up for this by taking him for walks. . She also gave him a nice bath.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Mallory home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Mallory.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Mallory sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
