“I was nervous with this being Hercules first time at a sitter that wasn’t family. But we had a introduction a few weeks prior and I realized I had nothing to be nervous about!! Hercules had great time at Beverly’s. Beverly and her husband were wonderful, and Hercules loved them both! We received many updates, and pictures throughout his stay. Highly recommend Beverly. We will definitely book again with her.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would! Dana and her family Rock! They were amazing with my 14 yo 5# Pomeranian, Roxie, was is a tri-pod. Roxie settled in nicely with Dana's super chill pups, and Dana. Dana sent us pictures of Roxie during her stay, while we enjoyed all Niagra Falls has to offer. We definitely recommend her and her family! We would (will!) Rebook with her next time!”
“Thank you Jodie & John! We really appreciate your love and care for Bella during her stay. Your back yard is just a paradise so I know Bella was very happy to stretch out and play with her new friends. I totally recommend others to use your service! If we visit Grand Island again, we will be sure to book another stay for Bella!”

“This was our first time using Rover.com and it was a great experience. Dan and Claryssa and their two small friendly dogs welcomed our big dog Dixey into their home. The dogs shared their toys and cozy couches with her. Dan played Dixies favorite rawhide game with her and Claryssa regularly sent us pictures of her adventures. During the two cold weeks we were gone it was a real comfort to know our dog was warm and well cared for.”
“Carol has had our dog three times in the last 2 mos and has done a wonderful job caring for our human touch addicted pet! Carol made her special food and was constantly with the dog ; literally side by side . Thanks Carol!”

About: I have past experience working for Wag where I walked a number of different dogs over the course of about a year and a half. I also have experience with raising, training, and caring for my own pups as well as my two cats! I work as a freelancer currently, so I will have plenty of time to stop in and care for your pet any day of the week you need me! I can accommodate any and all needs that your pets have while you are away from home! In my experience with Wag as a dog walker, I entered and re-secured many homes while owners were away.
“Sonia and Jared were fantastic pet sitters. They sent regular updates and were very thoughtful in making sure my cat had a space she felt comfortable and got plenty of attention while I was away. Would definitely be happy to ask them to cat-sit again in the future.”
“Tammy was absolutely wonderful. I felt completely confident and at ease knowing my dogs were in good hands. She was so understanding and attentive to their needs. I’ll definitely be rebooking with her in the future.”
About: Hello, My name is Katelyn and I am new to Rover. I have four years of experience in basic training, walking, bathing, ear cleaning, and nail trimming with three French Bulldogs (up to 30 lbs) and two years of similar experience with two Rat Terriers (up to 18 lbs). I am attentive and patient with the positive energy to cater to your dog’s needs for mental stimulation, exercise, grooming, and loving cuddles. My home is shared with my gentle husband Mark and our sweet spayed female Rat Terrier named Reenie. I am a stay-at-home Rat Terrier Mom primarily, working a very part-time schedule (three or four short shifts in the evening per week) outside of the home. If your dog has special needs (e.g., frequent potty trips or special food or medication preparation) I am up for the task. Our home is a tidy two-bedroom apartment in which your dog will have access to the kitchen, hallway, living room, and spare bedroom. We have two dog beds and two recliners with throw blankets for lounging; Kongs, bones, and antlers for chewing; and softer squeaker toys and balls for playing. We have one crate that is Reenie’s and prefer that you provide your dog’s crate for their comfort during their stay.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lyndonville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lyndonville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lyndonville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
