Clarisa was wonderful! I would 100% recommend her services. She took care of my elderly dog for 2 weeks while we were out of state. She send regular text updates with photos/ videos of my pup. She was also very flexible with the pick up time when our flights were delayed. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you so much!

Julie was responsive, accommodating, and very nice to work with. I felt relaxed with my dog staying with her. My dog loves walks and got to go on multiple per day with her and get his energy out. She sent pictures and checked in throughout his stay with her. Would definitely have my dog stay with her again!

She pays attention to the dogs she is in charge of, their personalities and likes and dislikes. I have a finicky dog and she would put food away until she was ready to eat again. Great job!

Heather is outstanding. She's a great communicator. Orville loved her. She's obviously a dog expert and even taught me things about Orville I didn't know. She gave him individualized attention even with multiple dogs in her care. She sent a picture of him. Highly recommended. Orville and I found our go to boarding.

I'm new to the area and needed a dog sitter on short notice. I was pretty nervous until I met Yoon. She is FANTASTIC with my American Bully. Pretty sure he wants to live with her now. I appreciate Yoon's flexibility and care. She absolutely loves dogs and spoiled my guy rotten. I am so grateful and cannot recommend her enough! Thank you, Yoon!

Thomas was great. Very easy going, our puppy randomly went into heat and he just rolled with it. They got to be outside for a lot of the day and he sent me photos throughout their stay. They were happy campers when they got back and we were able to enjoy the wedding festivities without worry. Thank you Thomas!

Rachel and Aaron were fantastic with our two dogs! Our pups have very different personalities, and Rachel and Aaron both clearly understood how to approach their respective idiosyncrasies. They had a great time with their dog Tango, and were happy babies when I picked them up. Rachel and Aaron were super communicative and I appreciate so much how flexible they were when I needed to modify our booking dates. Will for sure be relying on them again!

Rosie provided amazing care for my 2 dogs who had so much fun with her amazing 2 dogs. I was able to go out on a fishing boat with my family and picked up my dogs after who were happy and tired. She responded to my request which was last minute and let me bring my dogs over beforehand so I could introduce them one at a time and make sure everyone got along. Thank you so much Rosie!

About: I grew up with pets and have been a pet owner most of my life. We recently had to say goodbye to our Boston terrier due to cancer, and I’m missing having a furry friend to hang out with at home. I work from home 6 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Thursday and have two 15 minute breaks and a half an hour break during that time. I also have flexibility throughout the day. We have a nice comfortable home and a very walkable neighborhood. I enjoy walking down to the South Bend waterfront, which is only a couple blocks from our house.

About: Hi! I live across from the beach near the hotels. Go see the sights, eat, drink and be merry, while your fur baby is in good hands. Drop off here or I can pop by the hotel for potties and walkies. Former Vet tech, Dog Whisperer fan, honorable, simple straightforward, reliable. About: Ive grown up constantly having dogs around me. I’ve taken care of all different kinds of breeds so I’m comfortable with all sizes and most temperaments! My schedule is pretty open. I work later in the day so I’m available 10:00am-1:30pm Thurs-sun and Mon-Wednesday are all available! Having my own dog, I understand how important it is that they are comfortable and taken care of! I have a chihuahua with a very impatient bladder and I’m very blessed to live so close to work so I walk home every two hours to let him outside. We go for walks on the beach, hang out in our fenced back yard, or snuggle on the couch:)

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Long Beach home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Long Beach sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
