“Kari was so great while taking care of my dog while I was out of the country. She provided daily updates and was genuinely interested in my trip when I returned. Would definitely recommend and use again when needed :) Thank you Kari for taking such great care of Odin!”

“I'm new to the area and needed a dog sitter on short notice. I was pretty nervous until I met Yoon. She is FANTASTIC with my American Bully. Pretty sure he wants to live with her now. I appreciate Yoon's flexibility and care. She absolutely loves dogs and spoiled my guy rotten. I am so grateful and cannot recommend her enough! Thank you, Yoon!”

“Charlie had an excellent time during his vacation with Sue. He came home happy, perky, and kinda pooped, obviously from having such a good time. Sue kept us updated with cute pictures a Charlie (on the couch and on the beach). Sue and her household (including Junior, the very patient pug) are wonderful hosts. Charlie is looking forward to his next vacation at Sue’s.”

“Julie is the best!! She provided excellent care for my little guy and sent daily updates. Provided peace of mind that my guy was being well taken care of and treated like her own. We have previously used a kennel when away but definitely not the personal touch or care that Julie provided. Will absolutely use her again in the future for any pet sitting needs without a doubt!”

“Alison was great! Our 5 month pup enjoyed his stay. He was very well cared of. She sent us updates and pictures throughout his stay. This made us feel at ease since it was our first time being away from him. Thank you Alison!”

“Heather is outstanding. She's a great communicator. Orville loved her. She's obviously a dog expert and even taught me things about Orville I didn't know. She gave him individualized attention even with multiple dogs in her care. She sent a picture of him. Highly recommended. Orville and I found our go to boarding.”

“Alicia and her family were so good with our energetic Aussie. The constant updates and pictures let us relax on our trip knowing that Rambler was well cared for. Our pup was in heaven having a toddler to bramble about with. The pictures of puppy and lil’ gal made us smile and laugh repeatedly. We’ll definitely be asking Alicia and her family to watch Rambler again for future travels.”

“Thomas was fantastic, as he kept us well informed about our dog Rose. Regular pictures and reply’s to my questions, made it clear that Rose was well taken care off and happy.”

About: I grew up with pets and have been a pet owner most of my life. We recently had to say goodbye to our Boston terrier due to cancer, and I’m missing having a furry friend to hang out with at home. I work from home 6 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Thursday and have two 15 minute breaks and a half an hour break during that time. I also have flexibility throughout the day. We have a nice comfortable home and a very walkable neighborhood. I enjoy walking down to the South Bend waterfront, which is only a couple blocks from our house.
About: Ive grown up constantly having dogs around me. I’ve taken care of all different kinds of breeds so I’m comfortable with all sizes and most temperaments! My schedule is pretty open. I work later in the day so I’m available 10:00am-1:30pm Thurs-sun and Mon-Wednesday are all available! Having my own dog, I understand how important it is that they are comfortable and taken care of! I have a chihuahua with a very impatient bladder and I’m very blessed to live so close to work so I walk home every two hours to let him outside. We go for walks on the beach, hang out in our fenced back yard, or snuggle on the couch:)
About: Hi! I live across from the beach near the hotels. Go see the sights, eat, drink and be merry, while your fur baby is in good hands. Drop off here or I can pop by the hotel for potties and walkies. Former Vet tech, Dog Whisperer fan, honorable, simple straightforward, reliable. I don’t cancel, but I am flexible to changes you may have in your life. Lots of time and love for the paws in your life! I’m up early, keep everyone neat and clean, I have lots of energy and enjoy the company on my walks. Everyone is vaccinated, kids, adults and fur babies. I have emergency training and everyone is treated like family. Safety first, kind, gentle but lovingly firm.
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Long Beach is $50

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Long Beach home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Long Beach.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
