“Nicole was great! My dog adored her and her dog and excitedly waited by the door in the morning to go to day care while I worked for a few weeks in Manhattan Beach. She was very flexible with timing and accommodating. If I lived nearby I would book with Nicole frequently.”

“I booked day care for my daughter's dog Gunner for the entire day on 4/4. I met with Kathryn and Teddy a few days before leaving him at her house and felt good about the upcoming visit afterwards. Kathryn sent me multiple photos during the day which I truly appreciated. It was great to be able to leave him somewhere I felt would allow him to be less anxious as Kathryn let me bring his pet bed and pillow which he uses regularly at home. He also has multiple small feedings through the day which she gave him. The fenced in yard she has is huge! I'm grateful to have a place I can take Gunner where I will feel I can take care of any business at hand with no worries about leaving him.”

“Very last minute had availability for us and overall great experience! Great and fast communication and updates with pictures. Will definitely book again ❤️”

“Angie and her family are wonderful with my pup Boone. He’s always worn out when I pick him up, which I appreciate greatly! Will definitely be using her as my go to as long as she’ll take us!!”

“Nicole was wonderful taking care of my greyhound, Buttercup. There was excellent communication before and during the visit and as someone like myself that hasn’t taken a dog for daycare, I was so happy how easy it was with your service. My dog loved Nicole and I would highly recommend her.”
“Sally was GREAT for daycare. I know my girls were taken care of, and they were beat when they got home. She was super active with them and definitely wore off the puppy energy! Definitely will be using her again”

“Literally the most accommodating pleasant people for such a last minute booking at a very stressful time for me. They were very responsive and right off asked pertinent questions that showed they truly care and want to ensure a cohesive experience for both my pets and his family. They were also very gracious about my delay getting off work for pickup and maintained such a pleasant attitude throughout the entire experience. An altogether wonderful family and I would highly recommend”

“Ginny had a great time at Sean’s house! It was hot today so he kept her inside and she was good and tired when she got home. She even made me a painting which Sean sent a video of. We will definitely book again!”

“Karla is hands-down the best dog sitter I’ve ever experienced. Her love for dogs is immediately clear in everything she does. She has a spacious backyard that gives the dogs plenty of room to run and play, and her home is always clean, well-kept, and welcoming. What I appreciate most is how she allows dogs be themselves while ensuring a safe, well-managed environment. She pays close attention to group dynamics, making sure all the dogs interact well and play safely. I felt completely at ease leaving Bruno in her care, and that peace of mind is priceless. I would book with Karla again and again without hesitation. Highly recommend!”

I own a trailer rental company and can alter my schedule however is needed to make sure all animals in my care and on my schedule are well cared for. I care for my clients pets as instructed and love them as if they are my own. Animals rule the world here at the farm and are allowed on all furniture and beds. Roughly an acre is securely chain link fenced and gated for plenty of outdoor exercise, weather permitting.
“Cindy has taken care of our dog a couple of times and did a fabulous job!! She was so attentive to her and took her for multiple walks. Thank you Cindy!!”

“Alec and Aishu, and their lovely dog Winnie, looked after my girl Nova beautifully. She can be a little skittish at first in unfamiliar situations, but she soon settled down and relaxed! She had an amazing time exploring, going for a long walk and playing with her new pal. I appreciated that photos were sent throughout the day.”

“Easy and flexible to work with, and my pup had a great stay! Fenced area is not big enough for my greyhound to run but received multiple walks throughout the day instead. Loved all the pics and updates!”

About: I've spent 12 years raising and caring for my family's two dogs, even though they're now in a different state. Since recently moving to Atlanta, I am hoping to be around dogs more since mine are so far! I love spending time with dogs and making sure they get plenty of exercise and attention. I bring that same care to every dog I walk. I currently am working from home near Ponce City Market. I love going for walks before and after work as well as during my lunch break. I have a park near by and the beltline to get dogs plenty of exercise! Any special care your pup needs, please let me know.
“I was so pleased with the services provided by Amber while watching my little one. She interacted with her wonderfully and gave her lots and lots of attention. Amber kept me updated with pictures and messages and I feel truly comfortable with leaving my dog with her, and I look forward to the next opportunity.”

“Suzanne is excellent. She took care of our puppy like her own. He was always happy to go and when I picked up. Suzanne made sure all care instructions were followed to the dot. I am glad we could find her. Will always contact her when we need to.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
