“She was awesome with my little guy. At first he was being a stinker and hid under the bed and barked, I told her she could go and not worry about it. Then I get a picture message of him walking outside fine. Definitely took the time and had the patience to work with Orion to build that trust. Definitely, definitely highly recommend. She is amazing!”

“She does an amazing job with my pup and is awesome at communicating with me when there are any changes in his behavior or activity level. I appreciate having someone who is thorough and pays attention and that my dog is excited to see when I’m not around!”

Ali J.
About: Hi! My name is Ali. I have been a dog parent/lover my whole life! And through that love of dogs I saw a passion! I love caring for others animals- I work part time at a dog boarding facility and day care! So I’ve learned many things about enrichment, how to give medicines including insulin! I have 2 dogs myself that are senior boys so I have experience with the older pups as well as puppies. I’m currently part time at the bed and biscuit inn as I mentioned. So I will have plenty of time to drop in on your fur kids and give them the attention and love they may need! I am very much into giving my dogs the choice to cuddle or give love -I don’t force them. I like to give the dogs the attention they deserve while respecting their boundaries (we all have boundaries and things we like and don’t like) I have learned how to read body language of a dog as well as signs of dehydration etc. As you can see from my services I also offer in-home boarding. So, I will have a dog (or a couple) in my secure apartment. It’s quite roomy- and you’ll receive SO many photos and a personalized text from your pet detailing how their stay is going!

About: Growing up I had an English mastiff, a corgi mix and an English bulldog. I currently have a 4 year old sharpei mix that I absolutely adore. I’ve been dog sitting for family and friends since I was 14 and can’t get enough. Some responsibilities included feeding, watering, bathing, walking and playing with their favorite toys. I currently work part time and would love to get to help other people out because I know how big of a hassle it can be to try to work around a work or vacation schedule to make sure your dog is taken care of. My dog has a tie out that he gets connected to when he needs to go potty, we do not have a fence due to living on a large piece of land. When he’s off leash he has an e-collar that allows me to keep track of his location. As far as taking care of other peoples dogs goes I just do as I’m told or whatever is requested. If you’d like your dog to be leashed, great! If you’d like them not to be leash, also great! Put them in a crate while no one is home, can do! Whatever they’re used to is what I will do, keeping them in a routine is so important.

Daijanique E.
“Daijanique is a very responsible dog sitter. She takes pictures and videos of my dogs constantly throughout the day. She keeps me updated with both of my little pups. I am very great for someone like her. She's been dog sitting for me for over 5months now.”

“I am a little late in getting out this review, but in no way was it because I was disinterested or not wanting to do so..On the contrary, I absolutely felt the need to write this because of the loving service I felt my family had received from this Pet Sitter. Our family has 2 pets, a dog(Susy) and a cat(Milu) and like most on this site, we deem them to be our precious little babies. They never have really been away from the family for any great length of time, so finding someone to watch and care for them was very important to us. My family was to be in South America for a week, while I was away from home that same time for my work. I had found a Pet Sitter very close to our home for Susy, but could not find anyone for Milu. After much searching, I realized the Rover website and there found numerous Pet Sitters available for Milu. After much searching, we were able to procure the services of a Sitter on Rover and set the contract. Then, with 1 week before our departure, the contractor informed us that she had to cancel our reservation because of health issues in her immediate family and would not be in the area during the needed time. That really put us in dilemma to find someone in such short time. So we searched the Rover site and found several, but all the family agreed to contact Melissa... There were several things that greatly impressed us about Melissa. First there were the reviews. While there were not many, Melissa's reviews were actually very accurate and factual about the care that our Milu would receive. They spoke of the great love she had for animals, as we all experienced firsthand. As I had mentioned, our babies had not been away from us and Milu is very timid with strangers. So, we were surprised when we actually brought her to Melissa and after Milu s brief inspection of her new abode (Lol), she was right there, on the couch and happy as can be. I know that animals sense our love for them and I was amazed at how comfortable she was at that time. Later photos, which Melissa sent through the week, also confirmed how tranquil our precious niña was. In fact, when I returned a week later for Milu, she went to Melissa, not to me and she actually cried when I took her away. That experience was special to me and I knew then that our family had made the correct decision in choosing Melissa. Another proof to me that Milu was very comfortable there, was how she interacted with Melissa's young son. Normally, she runs and hides from children, but the pictures showed her actively playing with the boy! I have never seen her do this with any other children, but my own. I can think of no other magic that could have done that, but love. Yes, I am and family are so pleased with the decision we made to contract Milu's care with Melissa. I think that anyone who loves their pet would also have the same impressions with Melissa's care. I almost never write reviews, but felt the need to express my thoughts and feelings with this one. Thank you Melissa for taking care of our Milu! And, I actually do think that Milu misses you!!!!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. I have always adopted my pets and think it's very important for them to have forever homes. I help with a non-profit group called No Fear Rescue which helps dogs go from foster homes to permanent houses! I am going back to school in the Fall, and I think this would be an excellent way to do something I love and earn money for school. I have flexible hours to help out. I understand people have busy lives and dogs need exercise or sometimes just a bathroom break. I haven't met a dog that I don't like. They are such loving animals that are also part of families. I love outdoors and exploring parks with my furry friends. I'm currently in my final year of college and this part time job fits perfectly. Gives me the best break from the books and flexible hours. I am very hands on with pet sitting and your pets care is my number one priority. I always learn the routine that is already set with the pets to make sure every visit is fun and safe!

Kaitlyn M.

“Kaitlyn did an awesome job with my 2 dogs, who are considerably different in age, size, and temperament. This was my first experience using Rover, and I could not be more pleased.”

Heather C.
“Heather dog sat for our family this summer. We have a 110 LB pit bull who is very loving with all the energy of a 2-year-old pitty. Heather was great with her, reliable and thanks to her we could enjoy our time away from home (5 days). Heather came to our home several times during the day to feed and let our dog out. We have a fenced in yard, where she hung out with our pup and played fetch and tug of war with her. she was wonderful and we definitely plan on having her back for our next long weekend away. I would recommend Heather to anyone looking for help with their furry family. she is prompt, trustworthy and most of all very caring with animals (and even enjoyed the jump-up full face kisses our pup gives).”

Kelley S.
“Kelley has been a close friend for a few years, but prior to that upon meeting her could see her love and dedication to all the dogs she has ever interacted with, trained and cared for. Her training and experience is very evident in every interaction that she has with both dogs and their humans. Prior to Kelley, I never had anyone outside a select few family members that I trusted with my pups. From the moment she met them my dogs absolutely adored her. And I feel comfortable leaving them in her hands knowing that their safety and happiness is her number one priority! Kelley is a trustworthy, kind and genuine person. Her love for dogs is incredible. You will not be disappointed in trusting Kelley to care for your pups!”

Sarah P.
“Sarah has been taking care of my dog Sable for 3 years. She is great with Sable and Sable loves her days with Sarah. I never have to worry about Sable being alone while I'm at work for 12 hours. Thank you Sarah!!”

About: Since a very young age, I’ve been well trusted to provide comfort and care for animals of all breeds and sizes. I’ve helped care for horses, chickens, cats, dogs, fish, you name it! The type of care I have provided has ranged from mucking stalls, to bathing and grooming, to pet sitting/housekeeping. I’d love to help you provide the attention and care your pets need (and deserve) to help them thrive. I’m currently an ENT (Esthetics/Nail Tech) student Monday (8:30am-3:30pm), Tuesday (8:30am-12:30pm) and Friday (8:30am-3:30pm). Outside of that, I have a very flexible schedule. What works for you will most likely work for me! Feel free to reach out at any time regarding any questions or concerns. I’m very communicative and will get back to you within a matter of minutes. I have an 8 month old son/little helper (Kylo) who occasionally comes along with me on some of my visits. He loves animals! I also have 2 playful dogs (Arwin & Athena). However, if you’re pet/pets are not pet friendly or child friendly, I have no problem keeping them separated for everyone’s safety. I will follow all of the instructions you have set in place and your pets will be exercised and fed accordingly. I will provide love, affection, and comfort for their best overall experience. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing that they are safe and provided for properly.

Kelly R.

“Without hesitation, without any doubt I would have Kelly watch our fur babies again! We have two terrier/yorkie mixes. Our girl is very anxious and timid, especially around strangers. However, at our very first meet BOTH our dogs allowed Kelly to pet them and walk them. There are just certain people that animals gravitate to and just know that they have that kindness about them-Kelly is one of those people!”

Lara H.
“Laura has watched my dog many times while I am away traveling. She is reliable, responsible & genuinely kind to my fur baby! Laura lives next to a big park so she is able to walk my dog morning & evening with her very well trained dog Nikko. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a sitter!”

Sarah H.
“Sarah H. has cared for my dog, Tara, many times while we were traveling and has always done a great job! Tara can be choosy when it comes to humans that she likes and she can also be a bit high maintenance, but Sarah always follows directions well and Tara just loves her. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone who needs someone to help care for their dog!”
