“Our dog spent a week with Linda and the two of them fell in love with each other! Linda was so kind and caring and followed though with all our requests for our very spoiled baby. She even sent us pictures of the two of them together. We'll definitely have her take care of our dog in the future.”

“Annie and Mobie had a great time with Larry! Running around in the huge shaded backyard with other dogs to play with and squirrels to chase was a fun vacation for them. Larry sent pictures and updates. Totally trust my dogs with Larry!”

“This was AAAMAZing with my baby Mocha. She came highly recommended by my sister and I'm glad we chose her. She's very caring and compassionate and was able to take care of my baby's needs even down to her special feedings. We will definitely be using Nhi again in the near future!!”

“Erin did an amazing job! Lots of pictures and great communication. She even went to my specialty pet food store to refill Blake's food because I underestimated what he'd need and he ran out, oops! 😅 I could tell from the pictures that Blake was comfortable and happy. Erin's son was the perfect play companion and I will definitely be using their services again!”

“Nothing but good things to say about this visit for our Dog. Josie sent updates every day and we could tell our dog had so much fun at their home! She even delivered our dog back to us at end of stay! Amazing experience and we’ll do again!”

About: I have been a dog mom my whole life! I grew up on an animal rescue farm while also volunteering at an animal shelter. I then worked at a dog boarding facility (Pet Paradise) in college so I have endless experience caring for all kinds of pets and farm animals. I am a mom to a 17 year old American Bulldog, 11 year old Corgi, 3 year old tripawd pup and a 21 year old tarantula. I work from home full-time M-F 9-5 with minimal an flexible meetings (also my husband is home by 2pm each day). This means I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies and keep them happy while you enjoy your time away! I have more than a 1/4 acre of privacy fenced yard with trees and squirrels to chase. I also have 3 sweet dogs to make you pup(s) comfortable when they are staying with me.
“Imani did such a great job with my fur baby! She sent pics and kept great communication! She def loves what she does and she have a beautiful family who shares the same feeling. Def recommend and would send Blu back!”

“Just a wonderful experience for my girl Fenway. My work keeps me away for long stretches and it has taken “many” Rover caregivers and she is one of the best.”

“We needed last-minute boarding for our three dogs, and Wendy stepped up and took incredible care of them. Finding someone willing and able to handle a pack of three on short notice can be stressful, but she made the entire process seamless and worry-free. Super accommodating with our last-minute request. Fantastic care—all three of our pups came home happy and relaxed. Great communication, giving us total peace of mind while we were away. If you are looking for a reliable, caring, and highly capable sitter, we cannot recommend Wendy enough. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Marlena was absolutely amazing with our dog, Winnie! From the moment we dropped her off, we felt completely at ease knowing she was in great hands. Marlena sent us daily updates and adorable pictures that showed how happy and comfortable Winnie was the entire time. It’s clear that she truly loves and understands dogs. Winnie came back happy, healthy, and well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, Marlena is the best! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and loving to watch their pup.”

“Koffee had a great time spending the night and I was able to enjoy a date night! Thanks and I look forward to Koffee hanging out with you in the future for daytime camps and overnight boardings.”

“Carole is a superior pet sitter. She provided excellent care for my baby as well as sending updates of their daily activities. Her home is so clean that I was worried about my pup causing damage. But Carole assured me that there would be no problems and allowed my baby to watch tv with her which he loves. I would definitely recommend Carole to all for pet babysitting.”

“My experience was amazing from start to finish. They were very transparent, communicative, attentive, and stayed on top of everything while caring for my dog. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing my dog was in good hands. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals they work with. I’ll definitely be rebooking with them in the near future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a transparent, reliable, and trustworthy sitter.”

About: Like most, I have had dogs my entire life. I have raised them from as little as 6 weeks old, all the way up to the elderly hospice ages. I have raised multiple huskies (very strong pullers), great danes even little pocket sized pups. While fun and stimulation are key to a dogs growth, during my stays/ walks safety is the primary goal. That means minimal or no street crossing if possible during walks, no dog parks, no interactions with other dogs or people (even if they say they know your dog); you will get your dog back exactly how you left them, happy and in perfect health. I am currently working full-time. I have full availability weekends, early weekdatys and nights. If you have any questions, concerns or just anything you would like to go over feel free to reach out. While I have my own way and preferences on how to take care of a pet. Upon meeting I will walk you through my process and everything I will be doing. As the owner, your preferences and style will be given priority over mine during my stay.
“Bingo had a great time with Rochelle. I was worried about leaving him with someone he didn't know but she was great with him and he adjusted quickly and seemed happy and content. She sent daily pictures and videos!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lessie home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lessie.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lessie sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
