“Jacque & Emily were absolutely wonderful with our two dogs. We received a lot of pictures and updates while we were gone. Both seemed happy and well cared for when we arrived to pick them up.”

“I highly recommend Daniel for watching your dog while you’re away! He watched my very needy husky Apollo and took great care of him. He sent me plenty of updates and made my husky feel like home with undivided attention. Thanks Daniel! Will definitely be keeping Daniel in mind for my next trip!”

“In a perfect world, Serefina and her awesome partner and their awesome dog will be free every time I need to leave Petey somewhere... they were attentive and loving, gave Petey the amount of exercise he needs (which is A LOT), and when we picked him up he was happy, relaxed, and possibly even better behaved than when we left him there 2 weeks before.”

“I can not share enough how fantastic Abigail is! She is responsive and flexible when I needed to make some last minute changes, and my fur baby couldn't be happier staying with her! Her daily check ins are heartwarming and I am so thankful to have found such a great sitter!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have cared for several family dogs over the years, including American Akitas and a Husky and Australian Shepherd mix. I’m comfortable with different breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I enjoy walks, playtime, and making sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I recently graduated and am currently looking for a job, which gives me a flexible schedule during the week and on weekends. I have plenty of time to provide pets with attention, playtime, walks, and companionship. I enjoy making sure pets stay active, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. I have a comfortable home with plenty of trees, nearby walking trails, and a river area where dogs can enjoy outdoor time. Since my yard is not fenced, I always use a leash and supervise dogs during potty breaks and walks to make sure they stay safe. I also have my own cat, Eartha, who is friendly and enjoys meeting people. I understand that every pet has their own personality, so I take the time to help them feel comfortable and follow each owner’s instructions to provide the best care possible.
“Hannah did a great job with our dog Maisie! It was our first time using rover and being away from our dog so we were a little nervous but Hannah made Maisie feel right at home, and she sent many pictures, videos and text updates so we knew Maisie was in good hands! We will certainly use her again!”

About: I come from a family who has always had multiple pets at a time, with anywhere from 3 to 10 foster dogs under our care at any given time! I’ve cared for a wide range of dogs from smaller poodles and Shih tzus to much larger retrievers, border collies, and German shepherds. I have experience with cats as well, but much more lengthy experience taking care of dogs of different sizes and temperaments :) I am a med student so my schedule varies in flexibility but I live in a very walkable area and typically spend a lot of time at home studying! I love taking long walks in between classes and studying and would love to bring a furry friend along with me :) As I do have to be in classes some days for a few hours (no more than 3-4 at a time), i am better boarding pets who can be left alone for a couple hours. As for my home, I have plenty of space for them to run around freely.

“Had a great experience with Patrick. We had an unplanned trip for family reasons and had to find a sitter for Whiskey (1yo unfixed cav) a day before leaving. Patrick was very accommodating with this last minute booking and extending Whiskey's stay for another night. Whiskey had an awesome time playing with Moose. We got updates with pictures and videos. We're definitely going to book again for other trips”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I’m known as the “animal whisperer”. All animals seem to love me, and everyone can see that. I do this as my actual job, so I’ll be home all day with your pets. I will treat them as if they’re my own animals. They’ll get some one on one time, long walks, play time, cuddle time, snacks (like peanut butter), and so much more. People call my home the “pet’s paradise”.
About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs since I was a kid. I’ve always had a big heart for dogs and love showing them care and attention. As I’ve gotten older, my love for dogs has only grown. I enjoy being around them, playing with them, and making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. Depends on my college schedule but i’ll make time for dogs to care. I’ll like to glad to make time whenever you can. I’m a dog lover I understand that trusting someone with your dog is important. I will provide a safe, comfortable, and caring environment. I also want owners to communicate with me about their dog’s needs, routines, and behaviors.
“Morgan was fantastic with our dog, Stella! She had great communication throughout our trip and shared plenty of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear Stella was well cared for and happy the entire time. We’d absolutely book with Morgan again and highly recommend her!”

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life and have taken care of my friends and families pets for years and highly experienced. I’m the manager at Your CBD Store and I dog/cat sit for many of my regulars who love our pet CBD! Especially senior dogs. I have a very flexible schedule and would love to take care of your fur baby! I work Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm and 11am-4pm on Saturdays so I can come anytime before and after work! I’m off on Sundays and Mondays so on those days I can come whenever. I do offer boarding services but only small dogs that are good with cats. I’m a cat owner and I care/treat her like she is my actual child. I am like that with any pet that I care for. Nothing makes me happier than caring for an animal. I have grown up with animals my whole life, we always had dogs and cats. When I moved out when I was 18, every room mate that I’ve had, has either had a dog or a cat that I’ve helped care for. One of them actually had a Pitbull and she had 10 puppies that I took care of for months before they all got adopted. Whenever I go to a clients home, I always double check everything to make sure I am providing the most excellent care.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Leicester home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Leicester.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Leicester sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
