About: Friends call my home a dog retreat and relaxation center. It's a quiet, country setting with room to run, plenty to explore, and comfortable lounging. I've been fostering dogs and puppies with Redwood Pals Rescue for years and am a vetted volunteer with the Humboldt County Animal Shelter. I'm happy to send you photos or videos of how your dog's doing and feel free to text/call for updates anytime. I work from home most of the time. Dogs love the country routine and seem to relax here. I live rurally, in Southern Humboldt, but can meet for drop-offs and pick-ups in the Redway/Garberville area or the Arcata/Eureka/McKinleyville area or anywhere in between. For stays less than 4 days, I'll ask that we add the pick-up/drop-off fee. I have a large fenced yard, dog doors to come in and out of the house, and different areas to keep dogs separate, if needed. I usually keep new dogs separated from mine till they get to know each other and show that they like each other. I also have baby gates and can use dog crates inside if needed. I have hosted a lot of foster dogs and puppies for the Rescue and retreats for dogs from the Animal Shelter and have participated in numerous trainings with professional animal trainers and behaviorists. I know when I have to be away from my dogs that they need a kind person to hang out with, some fun, and a comfortable place to hangout till I can come back for them.

I can do day walks or overnights during the week and weekend as needed. Thanks! Depending on the pets home, either a fence or leash. I’m experienced with giving medication, monitoring illness and injuries. and caring for wounds. I’ve had the honor of being with several of my own dogs through end of life and supporting a wide array of medical issues. My dog Ultra Violet is a happy, well trained, sweetie pie Dutch shepherd who gets along with dogs of all sizes and would be most happy to have the company of yours. We typically get out 3-4 times a day for walks, potty breaks and adventures. Depending on your dog’s activity level we also go running or can do shorter walks or use the dog run at our place. We have plenty of space for dogs to run free outside if they are not prone to running away, otherwise leash walks and nearby trails! At my place dogs are allowed on the furniture and beds, but if this is not appropriate for your bud we can make sure your preferred rules are upheld. Enjoy yourself while knowing your friend and family member is safe and having a grand time with me and UV! Work from home flexibility to accommodate your needs. My doggie schedule is typically morning, noon, afternoon and evening walks and/or potty breaks. I love getting outdoors with my dog! Spacious, clean and danger free home away from home. Access to the great outdoors! There are no other animals besides my dog. Animals are our teachers. I adore animals of all kinds with extra fondness of dogs of course! My mission is to provide as much love, kindness, and confidence boosting to the dogs I care for as possible. I love learning how each one communicates, watching them light up and sharing in their joy. I’m experienced in administering medications, and taking care of Doggos from puppies to seniors.
