“Alley was absolutely fantastic with our Ro! Ro is super sweet but can be reactive with strange people and Alley went out of her way to make sure Ro was comfortable with her. She was super communicative and always gave updates, and she took extra special great care of Ro with extra walkies and lots of play time. Highly recommend Alley!”

“Mark was great with our 14 year old pup! We were quite nervous to leave her at this age, but Mark did a great job making sure she was comfortable, medicated, and loved. He was able to carry her home on a few walks when needed also. We will definitely use Mark again.”

About: I've always loved animals but didn't have the space to care for one of my own, until recently, so my interactions have mostly been through other's animals. In high school I was an animal science major and volunteered at doggy daycares. Then in college I studied basic canine care and training where I got experience in training different dogs. Now I have my own puppies, 2 2 year olds and a 1 year old, so more experience everyday! Currently in between employments and looking for something to keep me occupied that would benefit others as well. So available anytime that would be convenient for you! I have decent space for my pups and have my own precautions. I will prioritize the safety and wellbeing of your fur baby as if they're my own, so I assure you that I will follow any and all instructions given to me by you.
“Chris was a great dog sitter! He was accommodating to a last minute change, a meet and greet before hand, and respectful of my home! He was punctual and caring for my little Fry Guy. I did not have any worries about my pup while Chris was watching him. I would recommend his services to anyone in need of a sitter!”

“Melinda did a great job with our dog who is a finicky eater. In the past we would come home and he would have lost weight but that was not the case this time. Melinda took good care of our sogs while we were away”

“Kyleigh stayed with Ellie for 3 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. She was outstanding -- amazing communication before her stay, she visited us twice before we left, she's extremely responsive and replies to texts almost immediately. She took excellent care of Ellie who is 6 weeks post-op after surgery on a torn knee. She has many restrictions and takes meds 2x/day and Kyleigh handled all of that with confidence and ease. Kyleigh left the house in pristine condition and even left us some of the brownies she baked while there! We are already planning to rebook with her!”

“I'm very satisfied with Alex house sitting today and taking good care of my little girl, Lucy. She was very attentive to her needs and also cleaned my house. I happily recommend Alex and will definitely call on her again in the future.”

About: I have been taking care of animals since childhood and would often pet sit for family members, some of which were entire farms for a week at a time. Neighbors and family members have relied on me for daily care of their dogs and cats with care tasks including feeding, walking and sometimes bathing. I am currently in nursing school and I have a very flexible schedule during the week (except Mondays, Tuesdays) and on weekends. I currently have an almost 5 years old Australian cattle dog (very friendly w/ other dogs) and also live on a hobby farm. You will see my reviews are from Canada, where I lived for 6 years, but moved back home in the last couple of years and wanted to start my account up again :) I have a large property for walks and playtime without having to drive to a trail. I am also able to crate your dog if that is needed. I am available for frequent potty breaks (every 0-2 hours).
“Emily is great, she’s always flexible even when I book at the last minute. She always takes good care of my fur babies as well as my home. I will continue to use her services anytime I need a dog sitter.”
“Erika once again did an amazing job looking after my two dogs! She was very communicative and sent a lot of a great update pictures. Erika also brushed my dogs and vacuumed afterwards. She is amazing and my go-to sitter! Thank you!!”

“Family plans changed last minute leaving me with no one to take care of my two fur babies while I went away on vacation. I found rover and found angels profile and high ratings/reviews. I reached out to her and she got back to me right away! I was so thankful to find someone to take care of my pups in their own home right after Christmas and through the new year holiday! I thought for sure no one would be available or already booked. She was a real life saver. While she stayed with my pups she took great care of our home! It was snowing an insane amount while she was here and she continually helped my dogs have access to go to potty by shoveling out a spot for them in all the snow. I am so glad I booked with angle. The pups had everything they needed and more. She spoiled them with new pjs, toys and fun field trips. They loved their time with her and I was able to fully relax on my vacation knowing how much fun they were having with her.”

About: I’ve taken care of everything from small cats to wolf dogs. I will be able to take care of your pets, they will be happy with me. I typically only work in the early morning at my regular job so I will have plenty of time for your furry babies. I can either stay with them or do check ins a few times per day. I care for your pets by going by whatever schedule or rules you set out. No matter what, I will do my best to make sure they are happy and safe.

About: I have grown up around pets my whole life! Dogs, cats. I loved getting to know them all and take care of them. There personalities are all different much like a human and I am always excited to see who they really are. I am looking to get a part time job within the next two weeks. So more than not I will be able to watch and play with my new friends more! I have been around many dogs before even ones that are more aggressive. Over time I have started to learn the signs of two dogs who are uncomfortable with each other. I would never leave a dog with another dog that isn’t comfortable. I can crate the dog or have them there at different times.
About: I’ve lived and taken care of dogs and cats my whole life and have had multiple temporary dog sitting jobs. Jobs including; walking, feeding, bathing, etc. I’m working part time but am free many days of the week. I’m available mostly in the afternoon and night hours. If needed, I am able to work around some mornings. I have a fenced in yard in which my dogs run freely around. My clients dogs will be well cared of under my supervision and I will listen to any instructions necessary.

FAQs for House Sitting - Lee Center
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 120 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lee Center. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lee Center walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lee Center maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lee Center choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
