Haley was OUTSTANDING! Not only is she a joy, but our Gracie girl loved her. Haley sent tons of photos every visit, loved on our girl, even cleaned up a hairball. She was highly communicative, sweet, and an amazing pet sitter. I will absolutely be using her again for our next trip!

I’m a picky dog mom but felt comfortable with Elizabeth. Thank you Elizabeth and Rover for allowing me to enjoy my weekend!

Mallory took great care of our dog, Nell, during her drop-in visits. She walked Nell, made sure she always had fresh water, and kept me updated after each visit with details about her bathroom breaks, attitude, and activity level. Mallory was also incredibly flexible and accommodating by meeting with us early in the morning before I left for work so she could do a meet-and-greet and get to know Nell beforehand. I really appreciated her reliability, communication, and genuine care for my dog. I would absolutely recommend her and would be happy to book with her again.

About: Hello! I’m a life long animal lover and owner who understands that every furry friend has their own specific needs. Whatever your pet needs, I’m always happy to accommodate and ensure they feel safe, happy, and taken care of. I’ve taken care of family and friends animals all my life. From bunnies to Saint Bernard’s I’ve seen just about everything. I’m a college student that lives close to campus, so even with classes, I’ll be able to ensure your furry friend is taken care of! I am currently a softball player in college. While my weekdays can be a little busy, I live close to campus and have few in-person classes. Because of softball practice, I am not home for 3-4 hours most afternoons. I have an open yard and live walking distance from the Pulaski dog park. Your pet will have inside and outside time with ample opportunities to play, potty, and relax. I have a 2 year old female Lab in the home that loves to play and is quite energetic. Your pet will be cared for as one of my own and will be blessed with toys, treats, company, and love. I will openly accommodate your pets needs as I know every pet is different.

About: We've lived on a farm most of my life and we've had animals all my life. I currently have 2 pups of my own. A 11 year old English Shepherd Mix (Kai) and a 7 year old Miniature Long-Haired Dachshund (Riley). I lost my childhood dog Max (a Border Collie mix) from old age when he was 16.... I have trained all my dogs and not just the average leashing and commands but tricks too! I have also always done all the bathing, grooming and trimming nails. I absolutely adore dogs. I am hoping to turn this into a full time job. But am willing to start out with what I can get while doing a part time job. I will always try to make sure your fur baby is well taken care of, safe, comfortable and happy. So, there will be no need to worry.

About: I have pet sat for several families since I was old enough to stay home alone. Taking care of animals is a strong passion of mine and I actually hope to become a vet someday! I also have experience working at a vet hospital and pet resort which taught me that I love taking care of your fur babies! I am working part time at another job but does not really interfere with pet sitting because they are not long shifts. Regardless of my schedule, it’s important to care for animals at specific times so I will definitely make room! Since I would be caring for your pets in your home, I would happily follow any instructions given after building a little bit of trust with the animal!

About: I’ve worked in the pet industry for a year and some months now, I’ve worked in daycare settings, boarding settings and even grooming. I am certified in first aid, CPR, and have been shown how to properly administer medication. I have had pets my entire childhood! I have six pets that have different needs, from chihuahua to 2 Malinois, and three cats. I am not scared of being around high energy breeds but I also enjoy time with dogs who love to cuddle and enjoy their day more contently. My entire life I’ve been around animals and have had the pleasure of dogsitting for seven years. I’ve babysat dogs in my neighborhood and outside of it. I’ve had the fortune to babysit animals til their fur turned white and had the pleasure to kiss them til I couldn’t anymore. That being said; I am able to commute to you, I do not mind the drive, or I am more than happy to board in my own home where they will have their own space. I understand the anxiety of leaving your pet somewhere, or with someone, I do my best to communicate every day with you and that includes photos and videos. I have been in that very same boat. I assure I will do my absolute best to meet every need for your pet as if they were my own. I currently have free time until I go back to work, so, my availability is open almost all week! That being said, my weekly routine is able to be flexible and work around whatever works best for you and your dog! All I ask is for communication to always be transparent and direct so I can suit the needs of you and your baby. I have a 3 bedroom home and the third room is turned into a space for your baby to board safely away from my own fur babies and enjoy the stay as stress free as possible! I ensure that your fur baby has the space, the daily walks morning and night, and time to come out and play as they see fit. Now, if it’s at your own space, then I will continue the routine or schedule you lay out and will ensure that their needs are met!

Currently self employed, so I have a very open schedule and am able to accommodate quite a wide range of needs, from early morning to late night and weekends. About: I’ve been pet sitting for many years and truly love caring for animals of all kinds. With plenty of experience, I understand how important it is to keep your pets safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m dependable, flexible with scheduling, and always willing to work with you to meet your pet’s unique needs. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, medication, or just keeping your furry friend company, I’m here to help! I work a full-time rotating schedule where I’m on for 7 days straight and then off for 7 days. My work week always starts on a Thursday and ends on a Wednesday. During those 7 workdays, I’m working full-time each day. After that, I get a full week off to rest and take care of personal things. It’s a repeating cycle—7 days on, 7 days off—so every other week I’m either working or completely off I pet sit because I genuinely love what I do — and animals love me back. Their comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. When pets stay with me in my home, they become part of the family. I make sure every animal is well-fed, always has fresh water, and most importantly — plenty of playtime and affection. They get a safe, loving environment where they can relax and feel right at home. When I care for pets in your home, I follow all instructions to the letter — from feeding and medication routines to special care details. I send regular photo updates so you always know how your furry friend is doing, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. Respecting your space and your pet’s routine is always a priority. Whether they’re staying with me or I’m staying with them, your pet gets the same thing: love, attention, and top-notch care.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and grew up in a house that always had anywhere from three to six dogs running around. Because of that, caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I genuinely love animals and have always treated them with the same kindness and patience I'd want someone to show my own pets. I currently have three dogs of my own, and I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pets with someone else. That's why I make it a priority to treat every dog I care for like they're part of my own family. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or just wants someone to sit with them and give them attention, I'm happy to meet their individual needs. I've also raised and trained all three of my dogs from puppies, so I'm comfortable with younger dogs who need a little extra patience, consistency, and supervision. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. I currently work PRN, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. I also babysit on the side, so I'm always looking to fill open spots in my schedule with something I genuinely enjoy—caring for animals. While weekends tend to be when I have the most availability, I'm open to helping throughout the week as well. Whether you need care planned in advance or last-minute assistance, I'm happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. I understand that every pet is different, which is why I always make it a priority to follow your pet's normal routine and any instructions you provide. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home for a drop-in visit, walk, or overnight stay, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for in their familiar environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own and believe in providing plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and companionship while you're away. My goal is to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both you and your pet, while keeping you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
