“Davisha watched our dog, along with a couple others on the same day. I'm glad my dog had some furry friends to play with.. he was definitely tired after! There was plenty of space on their home and yard. Davisha was great with him and seemed to know what she was doing. Got some videos and pictures throughout the day, which was nice!”

About: Pet Care Experience Hi! I’m Guadalupe. Most people call me Lupe or Lu 😊. Thanks for stopping by! What sets me apart is that I intentionally take on only a small number of pets at a time. I keep my pet count small to ensure every pet receives my full attention and a calm, stress-free stay. My Care Style (What Your Pet Can Expect) I’ve always been an animal lover and enjoy staying active with pets. I provide multiple daily walks, playtime, and quiet companionship so your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule, which allows for plenty of one-on-one time and occasional last-minute requests. I’m a great fit for: • Dogs who prefer a calm, low-stress environment • Senior dogs • Shy or anxious pets • Cat-friendly dogs preferred but not required. About My Home I live in a house with a small, enclosed yard, perfect for safe potty breaks and fresh air. Pets are welcome to relax and lounge throughout my home. I have one resident cat, a lazy, easygoing guy, and I’m happy to manage space or keep pets separated as needed so everyone feels comfortable. There are no children in the home, which helps keep the environment calm and predictable. Walks & Outdoor Time In addition to yard time, I live near parks and walking trails, so your dog will enjoy regular walks, enrichment, and plenty of sniff time. Ideal Fit I’m a great match for pet parents who value quality over quantity and want their pet to receive attentive, personalized care in a peaceful home setting. Important Notes • Please bring your pet’s food, bowls, leash, collar or harness, medications, and any comfort items needed for their stay. • For safety reasons, I’m unable to accommodate overly aggressive dogs. Your pet will be cared for with patience, kindness, and genuine attention, just like family 🤍🐾 My schedule is pretty flexible as a work-from-home. I occasionally have to go into the office but I will let you know in advance. My husband is also available in case we need to make any accommodations to our schedule. I provide a calm, attentive environment and intentionally limit the number of pets I care for so each pet receives close supervision and individualized care. In my home, pets are monitored throughout the day and cared for according to your instructions, including feeding, walks, medications, and routines. I live in a house with a small, enclosed yard for safe potty breaks and also provide regular walks. I have one calm resident cat and can manage space or keep pets separated as needed to ensure everyone stays comfortable. When caring for pets in your home, I respect your space and follow your routines carefully. I provide updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe and well cared for.
“Mel watched our pup, Ollie, while we went on a day trip to Sequoia NP (no dogs allowed). Since it was our first stay with Mel, we did a meet and greet with her and our pups and everyone did well! You could tell right away that she is great with dogs and has a good sense of their different personalities. Ollie had a great stay! Thank you for taking care of him!”
“Laurel did a great job taking care of Zeus. She was very sweet, responsive and communicative with his doggie day care. She kept me updated with the stay throughout day. Zeus had a great time while in her care. I would definitely recommend and rebook again. Thank you again! :)”

About: I became a dog trainer in 2007. I believe in positive reinforcement, crate training, and a family environment. Our dogs are part of the pack and never left outside. We have fostered over 300 dogs for our local rescue, Bandit's Buddies, and have never met a dog that we didn't like! I enjoy walking our dogs in the cool mornings, going to agility, and training fun tricks. Our animals are flea free, moderate energy, friendly with all dogs, and great teachers for puppies. We don’t have carpet so we don't mind helping with potty training. Please don't hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns! I work from home full-time so the dogs are never left alone. We have a doggy door so they always have access to the large back yard. We have 2 dogs that love to play and cuddle. We have two cats that come and go as they please. Fences are all secured.
“This is our second time with MJ and my dog is suuuper excited to see him. I have a high energy dog and she has so much fun with MJ each time. She doesn't even want to leave him haha Highly recommended!”

About: Animal care is my absolute passion and it's a goal of mine to earn licensure as a vet technician! I grew up on a ranch around animals big and small and for the last 4 years have been professionally pet-sitting; mostly cats and dogs but also rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and birds. I'm comfortable with any medication administration, special food preparation, or exercise/training requirements that your pet needs and can accommodate any requests. As a fully online student, I have complete flexibility in my day to care for your pet. I'm available daily, including weekends, and accept bookings same-day. I also accept drop in/house sitting requests for most small animals including rodents and reptiles. I have no animals of my own so your pets will have my complete attention and the house to themselves. My apartment complex has plenty of green grass and wildlife for enrichment walks and play, and my home has sunny windows for sunbathing. Safety, trust, and comfortability are my ultimate priorities and I would care for your pets/home the same way I would want someone to care for mine.
“From step one Veronica was easy to work with. She was responsive in setting up the dog sitting. My little girl was a bit hesitant and stayed shy but I could tell that Veronica was sweet and patient with her. Great experience. Thank you”

“This was my first time ever needing a dog sitter who wasn't a family member or friend and having my current 6 month old timid velcro puppy means that I had to be extra wary of where I leave her. When Anya and I met Audra during the meet and greet we were able to chat for a while and I felt totally comfortable explaining my own concerns and Anyas needs of patience and time. Audra was able to address them all and the answers she gave made me feel she would be a great fit. Dropping off my puppy was hard but it was easier knowing that someone who seems to really love dogs and was capable of accomodating a more timid dog had her. I was able to get updates throughout her daycare stay and when I picked her up she seemed perfectly fine and elated to see me. Driving home she was plum tuckered out and napped but when she got back home Anya was back to her regularly scheduled trouble. I gave her a look over and saw no issues and behavioral wise Anya acts as if she had never been gone at all. Afterwards I asked Audra some questions about Anya and how she did to follow up with her dog training and received prompt responses that will help me make sure that this timid pup continues to thrive and grow in confidence. If I have to find someone to watch her again or need an overnight boarding I will definitely see if Audra is available first.”

About: Hi! I'm a passionate and attentive pet caregiver with 5+ years of personal experience and 1 year of professional dog-sitting under my belt. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and energy levels—from high-energy pups who love a good run, to mellow seniors who just want a snuggle buddy. One of my own dogs experiences focal seizures, so I’m very familiar with providing calm, capable care in medical situations. I’m also experienced with administering medications (pills, drops, etc.) and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable during the process. My dog Mr. Peanutbutter has had bad experiences with larger dogs so I understand pups who need a little extra care with anxiety. I’ve worked with a variety of animals, including ducks, and I’d be happy to check in on other pets (like cats, birds, or small animals) or care for your plants while you’re away. Whether your pet needs a quick drop-in, an energetic walk, or overnight care, I bring patience, responsibility, and plenty of love to every visit. I treat every animal like they’re my own—and I can’t wait to meet yours! Pet care is my passion and my full time focus while saving up for higher education. Pet care is what I'm focused on when not studying. I only have late night class for 2 hours 1 night a week and at home studying so I have much time to focus on specific needs. My home has a fenced yard with plenty of space to run and and play with a patio area and another fenced off pool area.
“This was my first time leaving my dog with a pet sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the beginning, Frank was kind, professional, and genuinely caring. Throughout the day, he kept me updated with adorable photos and little notes, which made me feel so at ease. It was clear my dog was happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. I’m so grateful to have found someone as trustworthy and passionate as Frank. I will definitely be reaching out again in the future. Highly recommend!”
About: (Provided details for breeds of pets I cannot watch at the bottom) (Note for new families: I am able to do on base and off base services) I love furry, feathery, and scaly friends to the moon and back! I have an open schedule, and I try to be as accommodating as possible. I grew up with what I feel is almost every type of animal imaginable, so nothing gets past me. I have also grown up around many litters of puppies, so I have experience bottle-feeding and attending to needs. I also have dealt with animals diagnosed with dementia and other health problems they just need a little extra love and time is all! I also have handled disabled pets including missing appendages and paralysis. I love being able to give pets the attention and time they need and deserve while the owners can be worry-free. Dog breeds I cannot watch in my home are pit bulls, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, chow chows, and wolf hybrids. This is just part of the navy’s housing policies. Pet care is my priority! I currently don’t have a job since I just moved to this area a couple of months ago so I am completely available to give furry friends the attention they need. Since I am not in a position to take pets into my own home I try to be my absolute best wherever I am! I am a big advocate for respect not only to others but their property as well so when working with clients and their homes I hold myself to a standard of leaving everything as it was unless specifically told otherwise. Doing this can also help me build trust with the pet simply as an acknowledgment that I understand that it is their territory and I am in their space.
“Kara was phenomenal. I needed an urgent sitter for my puppy and Kara reached back out to me within 10 minutes of my request (which was rather late in the evening, I might add.) Communication was smooth, and Kara went above and beyond in communicating with me throughout the day. I will absolutely be returning! 11/10”

“Sandra was amazing and took wonderful care of my dog, giving him all the attention he needed. She also sent photos and updates throughout the day, which I really appreciated. I will definitely rely on Sandra again when I come back to Visalia.”

“Krystle was great since the beginning! She took us the same hour we searched for her on a Sunday. Krystle updated us with pictures and nice comments about our dog. We saw that she has a LOT of experience with dogs. Our 10yr old Golden Retriever came back happy! We would come back and recommend her to any of our friends.”

“Adrianna is amazing!! Really cares for Jasmine and keeps me well informed. My baby always come home happy and so positive. Thank you for all the care you give!! Anytime I need something I will be reaching out again.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Laton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 302 sitters in Laton, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
