About: Hi! My name is Abby and I love all animals! I am an ER Nurse and I really love taking care of animals and creating a bond with them and witnessing each and every one of their unique personalities. I love to exercise and get outside. I have had multiple animals and I have had a family dog for 12 years and my husband and I adopted our first dog together, Butch in March 2026. I have taken care of multiple dogs for family members, and I also have 3 rabbits and 15 chickens! Any owner will not have to worry about their dog because I will provide a loving environment and treat them as if they are my own. A dogs happiness impacts my happiness as well. I want to make sure that the dogs and owners are elated after my care for their animal. I am very trustworthy and absolutely adore any type of animal! Everyday I tend to the needs of my dog, Butch, and spend time with him and love on him. When I walk into the door, him running to me and greeting me is my favorite thing! I can’t imagine not coming home to an animal to love on and care for! I also fit in tending to my three pet rabbits and 15 chickens into my schedule as well! My schedule is pretty set as I am a ER Nurse and I work 11am-11pm every week Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I am open to any animal care in Fort Wayne! I commute to work from Huntington every morning and come to Southwest Fort Wayne very often since I just moved from there! I am open to any dog walking or check ins before work from 9AM-10:30AM in Fort Wayne anywhere! I absolutely love animals. I quit dog sitting after I graduated nursing school to work full time, but have been missing it since and am ready to get back into it a little! I care for the pet(s) as the owner wishes! I am great about communicating about my schedule. I love walking dogs to get fresh air/exercise and relieve stress before work especially. I am willing to spend time with dogs and love on them if it is a drop in visit.

About: Hi! I’m a full-time professional with a deep love for animals and experience caring for pets of all kinds. I can provide a variety of pet care services and give each animal plenty of love, attention, and individualized care. I’m happy to care for both dogs and cats. *we do have a nice large run in the garage! I do have a personal dog who prefers to keep to herself; however, she will always be safely separated and put away during any pet stays to ensure a calm and secure environment for your pet. I also have kennels available if needed. Ive got lots of room plus a fenced in back yard! Thank you for trusting me with your furry family member — I look forward to caring for them! 😊 **I also have lots of experience working in dog shelters and kennels, so I know a lot! I can pick up in wabash too! I work full time- but can have a routine! My mother in law works at my house as a nanny. So if needed she will always be present. My dogs are bell trained so when they need to go potty I take them on a leash. Most dogs that have stayed with me have learned quickly where to go if they need to potty. I can provide any service for your pet, just tell me the details.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Laketon. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
