“This was my first time booking with Megan, and she was absolutely wonderful. She took great care of Rocky and made me feel completely at ease. She kept me informed, and Rocky looked happy and relaxed the whole time. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. I’ll definitely book with her again!”

“Shuai is absolutely amazing! His care for my fur baby gives me the time to focus on my in office days. Leaving her with anyone in general is always hard for me, but he makes it easy and anxiety free- knowing she’s in protective hands. He’s beyond responsive and reliable. Highly recommend.”

“Our boy Mickey had so much fun. He was a happy boy when we picked him up from daycare with Jane and was relaxed for 2 days! A tired boy is a good boy ;) Mickey will be spending more time with Jane who sends pictures and puts her 💕 into taking care of Mickey!”

“Gabriella was incredibly sweet and attentive with my dog, Bea. She made me feel completely at ease, and I could tell Bea was in great hands. I would 100% recommend booking with her.”

“10/10 recommend Kim. Book her now! She updated me frequently throughout the day and sent me pictures of my dog Brownie. My dog has a medical condition that makes him susceptible to infections and she took extra precautions of wiping his paws off after being outside. Brownie had a fun day with Kim and we will be booking with her again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of him 💚”

“Absolutely the best! Kept me up to date throughout the day. We weren't even to the end of the street and my puppy was sound asleep. He loved playing with their dog. We definitely will be back!”

About: Hello! My name is Erik and through growing up with cats and raising a rambunctious 6-year-old Golden Retriever, I'm the perfect active adult to take care of your animal friends. I work from home, giving me plenty of time for ball throws, tug of war, and enough snuggles and head scratches that your pet may never want to leave. I work from home full-time and take plenty of breaks throughout the day for walks, ball throws, and bathroom breaks! Because I already have a dog myself, regular breaks are already baked into my schedule. I have a fenced in yard and am within walking distance from several large grassy areas. Furthermore, working from home full-time allows me time to be attentive to your pet's needs!

About: I’m new to dog walking as a profession, but I’m making a thoughtful career shift toward meaningful interactions with animals. Seriously, I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs/cats and being outdoors. I’m excited to build relationships with both pets and their owners. I’m reliable, attentive, and eager to become a trusted part of the neighborhood. I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of availability during the day to spend quality time with your pet. Most days you’ll find me gardening in my backyard. I live near White Rock Lake, which makes for great, scenic walks. I have strong daytime availability, and can give your pet consistent attention and care. Based on your pet’s comfort level, my home offers a fenced yard and pool for recreation and supervised swim time.

“Leaving my dogs with someone else for the first time felt a lot like dropping your child off at school for the first day — I was nervous and hesitant about using Rover at first. But after an unexpected situation came up, I’m so grateful we found Van and her family. For three days, they took such amazing care of my dogs. I provided their food, and Van and her family made sure they were fed, able to play outside in the yard, and got plenty of rest and love. The updates, pictures, and videos throughout the stay gave me so much peace of mind and made my days at work so much easier knowing my babies were happy and comfortable. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be reaching out to them again for future doggy daycare or boarding needs. Thank you again, Van and family, for treating my dogs like your own!”

“Thanks so much for providing excellent care for our Cavapoo. We greatly appreciated the video and text message updates. Blaze is looking forward to us going out of town again so he can come back to play with Copper and Lancer. Thanks so much, William.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life (29 years) and was always put in charge of dog walking/care responsibilities. I have a 9lb Pomeranian named Penelope and a cat named Gia. They are both my best friends, and love to meet new people. Gia can be a bit shy, so very playful or dogs with some aggression issues aren’t welcomed. Penelope is small so no dogs that would see her as food! I can’t wait to meet your best friend and promise to take care of him or her as if they are my own. They are welcome on all of my furniture and even my bed. I want your pet to feel at home and comfortable at my place. However they must be flea and tick treated. Feel free to contact with any questions! I’m currently job searching and my husband is working from home so your pet won’t be alone for very long, if at all while with us. I have a fenced in backyard and a comfortable house where we can keep your pet in a crate or in a certain area of the house if we’re gone.

Lake Highlands dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kim = GEM. Our prior sitter is moving out of state and I was REALLY stressed about having to find someone new that met my standards (which is a LOT). We found Kim. I have a humongous weight off my shoulders. She is incredibly friendly, detailed and thorough and the level of attention she pays towards her dog-sitting role is 10/10!

Shuai is absolutely amazing! His care for my fur baby gives me the time to focus on my in office days. Leaving her with anyone in general is always hard for me, but he makes it easy and anxiety free- knowing she’s in protective hands. He’s beyond responsive and reliable. Highly recommend.

Terrese was SO sweet and tentative with Blue and Bear, Blue can be very shy but Terrese was very patient with her! I will definitely be contacting again to watch the two, felt very good while I was gone all day she kept me updated and sent pictures throughout the day. :)

Brenda is the most beautiful soul, she is absolutely adorable with personality and caring. My dogs loved her so much that they cried because they did not want to leave her side. It is not always that you run into people with that beautiful caring personality inside and out. She will go far in life. From the moment that you communicate with her you will know that you made the correct decision in choosing her. She is available and always communicate promptly. She receives your dogs with lots of care and love. Brenda We Love You!

Gabby was beyond amazing and gave me frequent updates on my Maverick. She took him to the doggy park and Maverick was happy to get up in the morning to go see her. She really does love caring for your pups and they will be in great hands. It was soo nice to not have to worry about him and know he was in great hands! Will def be using her in the future!

Madelyn was wonderful! My return trip was pushed back late so I ended up needing my pup to get watched an extra night and she was very kind and flexible. My dog was so happy to be there, he didn’t want to leave when I went to pick him up. I would definitely recommend Madelyn for any services!

Abbigail has been watching my dog for several weeks now and she is the best! My Archie loves to play with Abbigail’s pup Winnie and he is always so excited to go stay at Abbigail’s place. She is so caring, kind, communicative, flexible, and has such a big heart for animals! She sends lots of pictures and updates. I highly recommend booking with Abbigail for your Rover needs.
