“My grandpup was in town for Thanksgiving and I host our family dinner, needed a dog sitter quickly. I found Myra and she was a Godsend! Dakota immediately clung to her and you can tell she loves the pups. Not only was she available kind of last minute but she was caring, compassionate, and loving. She made Dakota feel at home and sent tons of videos and pictures of her playing and getting acclimated. Dakota was scared of other pups and didn't have a lot of experie.ce interacting with other dogs. She got her comfortable and held her until she was ok. I highly recommend Myra and will use her when Dakota is in town again for sure! When I picked her up Dakota took forever to say goodbye to Myra a good indicator she had a blast! Thank you Myra!!”
“Best boarding experience we could ask for! From the meet and greet to pick up day, we knew our dog (Kona) was in good hands with Alecia and Bill. We felt at ease knowing Kona had the additional company of their two sweet dogs and a spacious fenced in back yard. So happy with the care Kona received. We have already booked another stay with Alecia!”
“So thankful we found Brett and Stephanie! They took such great care of CoCo! They were super accommodating and kept us updated with pictures and videos! We will be rebooking again very soon!!!”
“Gail and Todd were amazing! They took such good care of our dog and even gave her a bath before we came to pick her up. They sent daily updates with photos. I would reccomend them if you’re going out of town and need someone dependable to watch your dog!”
“Anita thank you so very much for taking care of our precious Ella!!!!! I highly recommend Anita, she has such a sweet spirt, friendly and very professional. We felt very comfortable and relax while on our 5-day vacation, because she provided daily pictures of Ella and kept us updated. Thanks a Million, you are the best.”
“Shabnam was wonderful! She gave us daily picture updates and was always quick to respond to messages. She was flexible with drop off and pickup times and our dogs have been so sleepy since being home so I know she kept them busy. Highly recommend!!”
“This was our first time leaving our dogs, King and Dobby, with someone outside of our family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Will. From the start, he was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive to their needs. He went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable and at home, and it was clear they absolutely loved him! Will kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can tell he genuinely cares about the animals he watches. We’re so grateful to have found someone we trust, and we’ll definitely be booking with him again!”
“April was excellent with Dallas! She kept me informed as well as sent several pictures letting me know how Dallas was doing. I will use her again and just recommended 2 other customers.”
“Alexis was so great! She sent us pictures of our fur baby everyday! She even bought her a banana costume 🥹 we ran into a family emergency and she kept our pup longer with no hesitation. She even took care of her when she threw up! Seriously she was so good, would definitely recommend.”
“Charlie loves other dogs and adores people, so he was tired and happy when I picked him up. This was our first booking ever with Rover, and in addition to Mary and her family, the whole process went smoothly. We will call again! Thank you.”
“My family and I have booked with Chryschel several times with a few being last minute bookings. We enjoy the pictures and videos she sends. She is always pleasant and we are grateful we found her. Our fur baby seems really comfortable with her! My husband said he didn’t think she was ready to come home this time! Thank you and we appreciate you, Chryschel!”

“We’re so happy we found Jenny! She took amazing care of our dog while we were out of town—super sweet, communicative, and accommodating. She sent regular updates that really put us at ease. Our pup also loved spending time with her two sweet, gentle boys—it was so heartwarming to see how quickly they bonded. We trust Jenny completely and will definitely be booking with her again!”
“I can’t say enough WONDERFUL things about Katie! From the daily pictures and updates, to how she was always available to ensure we were kept in the loop of activities/outings. Will definitely keep this connection going!!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lake Cormorant home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lake Cormorant.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lake Cormorant sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
