About: I’m currently going to school to become an RVT! (Registered Veterinary Technician) As I am learning, I don’t have much time for an animal hospital job just yet. I would like to use these experiences for learning purposes and some extra money for schooling! I have pets at home that I take care of very well, and would like to provide as much care as possible for your pets too. Since I am still in college, my availability is 4pm to 10:30/11pm every week day. If needed on weekends, I can schedule something ahead of time no problem! Just no overnight stays. I will not take any animals to my personal home. I am able to visit your home and let them out, feed them, provide treats and toys, also walks! I love walking, but wont stray too far from their home. I can give baths, nail trims, administer at-home meds but am still in the learning process for more grooming capabilities. So far I have/have owned myself dogs/puppies, cats, bunnies, and guinea pigs!

About: I have had my own pets ever since being little. I have also worked for a pet sitting business a few years ago that offered many services to their clients. My home is a fun loving home with a daily schedule and lots of love and fun. I am currently a part time worker and I only work 4 days a week for just a few hours during the day. I am home most of the time except if I am running kids to games or practice in the evening. I have a small fenced in area and a doggy door that is available as well. I am also outside often too. We have a quiet and great neighborhood for walks as needed.

This was my first time using Rover and I choose DeLena based upon her profile which seemed like a great fit. It was that and much more! We did a greet & meet first and she was very nice and I felt she was dependable and trustworthy. I am so happy to have found her to take care of our Churro when we are out of town. She came on the days and time we arranged, was able to get great pictures and made sure Churro was well taken care of. He sometimes hides with new people but from the pictures, he was very happy with DeLena as well. :) We will definitely be booking with her again for the coming year. Thank you so much!

About: Ever since I was little I’ve been taking care of dogs as I had my own German Shepard for quite a while. I love to play with dogs and bathe them. I always make sure they’re well fed and hydrated. I love giving out treats and making them feel loved! I even have conversations with them sometimes🤷🏻‍♀️ I love to make sure I see a happy dog; a tail wagging and a smile on their face. I’m currently a college student. I have school on mondays and wednesdays and I’m trying to find a serving job. usually early mornings and late nights I’m available as well as sometimes mid day. If you’re every curious about my availability of that week, day, or month just hit me up and I will let you know!! I make sure to take them potty or on walks. Maybe on car rides if the owner is ever okay with it. I’d make sure they’re well fed and hydrated throughout the day/week. I’d play with them and make sure they still have all of the attention they deserve and maintain their happy feelings!!

About: I've been working with dogs off and on since I was 14. I've helped with vet visits, gone on walks, supervised park visits, and more especially as I've grown up and become more independent. I've also helped friends with training new habits and retraining old ones. I live with my elderly parents mowing the lawn and helping bring in the weekly groceries but after that my time is my own. I've found that having something to do outside the home is also rather rewarding (and going to the gym can be expensive.) For the dogs I sit for, I ask their owners to provide food and outline a schedule to maintain routines. I also ask that owners provide a current phone number and preferred veterinarian in case of emergency. I only work with one pet at a time unless there are multiple pets in the same household and they get along with each other.

About: Hi there! I’ve owned cats and dogs most of my life, but unfortunately not able to have my own at this time! Let me help by dropping in to check on your fur baby! I can do specific days which we arrange, or weekends at this time. I love all animals even snakes as well. I myself have used pet care in the past so i do not take the responsibility lightly! Please contact me for drop in care of your babies. I work part time, but also have alot of open time right now so looking to add some pet care into my schedule. Happy to discuss further. I’m only able to drop in care for pets, in client’s home at this time. I can make sure they have fresh food and water and some play or cuddles.

I have experience taking care of other people's animals as well as taking care of family pets such as my sister's dog (beagle mix) and my parent's dogs (two Chesapeake bay retrievers and a rescue hound). I also have experience taking care of cats for family & friends! I also have experience helping take care of newborn puppies, as my stepdad breeds Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. I love animals and I am very passionate about taking care of them and have always had a special place in my heart for them. As of right now I work full time, from 8am-5pm I am available evenings after 5pm and I am available on weekends. I could also potentially be available on my lunch break depending on the location, as I get an hour lunch break daily from 11am-12pm. I unfortunately can't offer in-home services at this time. I will be sure to follow any instructions or guidelines you need met for your fur-baby. I am a respectful individual and I will be sure your pet has the best care!

About: I’m 22 and I’ve lived with dogs and cats my whole life—puppies, old timers, and everything in between. Animals aren’t just pets to me, they’re family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, baths, cuddles, feeding, or just hanging out, I’ll do anything when it comes to your four-legged kids. I’ve cared for people’s pets before, and it’s something I enjoy. I’m reliable, always on time, and go above and beyond what’s expected. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely loves animals and takes care of them like they’re his own, I’m your guy! I currently work a salaried position from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays. **Weekday Availability:** Evenings after 5:00 PM are wide open for pet sitting, cuddles, and any necessary care—whether it's feeding, walking, or simply keeping your pet company. **Weekend Availability:** The weekends are the real treat! I'm available all day Saturday and Sunday for anything from quick visits to overnight stays. If your pet needs a cozy sleepover, Friday and Saturday nights are ideal. When caring for pets, whether at my home or my client's, their comfort and safety always come first. Your pet's well-being is my top priority. At my home, I offer a wide-open, fenced backyard where animals can explore safely. Inside, I maintain a secure, pet-friendly space with no hazards. If requested by owners, I can accommodate crate-training, though you'll need to provide the crate. I have three playful, friendly male cats (under a year old) who love interacting with other animals. I respect every pet's unique personality, ensuring positive and stress-free interactions. Clear communication with owners about their pet's preferences is key—so you can feel confident your pet is in trustworthy hands. My home is stocked with essentials: fresh food, clean water, and plenty of toys to keep pets active and engaged. There's also climbing furniture for those curious explorers. The setup ensures your pet has fun, stays comfortable, and feels at home. Every service is tailored to the unique needs of the pet and the owner. Whether it's an afternoon of supervised play or overnight care, I go above and beyond to create a safe, trusting, and happy environment for every animal. Let me know how I can make your pet's experience even more amazing!

About: Hi, I’m Nicole! I bring a calm, reliable, and highly disciplined approach to pet care, backed by hands-on professional experience. I spent six months as a Camp Counselor at Camp Bow Wow, where I managed groups of dogs, learned to read canine body language, and safely cared for dogs with varying temperaments—including both extremely shy pups and high-energy or aggressive dogs. In addition to my boarding facility experience, I am an amateur dog trainer with experience raising and training a service dog in training. My professional background is rooted in healthcare client advocacy and strict protocol management, which means I prioritize safety, clear communication, and following your exact care instructions above all else. Whether your pet needs a calm companion for low-stress walks or a structured environment while you’re away, you can trust them in experienced hands. Since I'm home full-time, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine, not squeezed around a job. I grew up with dogs and cats, so feeding, walks, and playtime are second nature to me. I also spent six months at Camp Bow Wow doing daycare and boarding, which gave me hands-on experience managing multiple pets, reading their behavior, and keeping them safe and comfortable. I offer both drop-in visits and in-home sitting at clients' homes. During visits, I focus on sticking to the pet's normal routine, feeding, fresh water, walks, and playtime, while keeping a close eye on their behavior and comfort. I also have experience with more nervous or timid animals; I grew up fostering scared kittens and learned how to earn their trust through patience, calm energy, and letting them approach on their own terms. That experience taught me to read subtle cues and adjust my approach for each pet's personality.

Very open availability because my day job allows me to choose my own schedule. And I’m very flexible and willing to accommodate to your needs. About: I've had animals since I was 4. Been caring for other people's animals almost as long. I would walk my neighbor's dogs any time they would allow it. I also have a background in veterinary care and am used to administering medications as well as injections to dogs and cats. I have 3 cats and a dog, so I have my small menagerie that I take care of daily. But that won't stop me from taking care of your critters too! I have a partner at home that will take care of my own animals if I need to stay over to care for beloved furry family members. So no need to worry if your fluffy friends need round-the-clock care, I can do it! I have a large yard with lots of space for my dog to run, he knows not to go to the front of the house and stays close to me when we're outside and there are lots of parks nearby to go on walks. We have lots of high places for our cats to climb and perch.

My boys loved Rebecca and Jonathan. They are easy going and very communicative throughout the whole time they were checking in on the dogs. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kokomo. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
