I am a retiree that has a fairly open schedule and able to spend the night at your home. I may need to leave for an hour two at times for health appts. and going to our home to let our own dog out for a bit. About: Having grown up with a variety of different dogs, and volunteering at shelters, I work well with all kinds of dogs! I have stayed overnight with pets in their own home, but have also just checked in on dogs while their owner was away. I love playing outdoors or going on walks with the pups, and can do short and long distances! During the week I work part-time in the evenings at a local dance studio, but am generally open during the morning and day time. My schedule in the evening is a maximum of four hours, so I could easily check on the animals before and after my evening shift. Always allowing the animal to warm up to me, I have learned to be patient with extremely shy dogs and letting them approach me first. In my own home, I have a teacup yorki and a basenji mix and have loved having both a smaller pup and medium sized dogs. Throughout my time dog sitting, I have learned to respect the animals space in their own home, as some can be particular on which areas they allow guests. I love allowing the dog to get out some of their playful energy at dog parks or simply snuggling up on the couch with pups. I also have my own transportation, if the owners prefer or request I take their pet to the local dog park!
