She was mindful of locking all the door locks behind her which I thought was a nice touch. Although my poor, scared rescue always hid, Lindi tried her best to coax her but to no avail. About: I have a unique background with horses, farm animals, and dogs that want to walk all day in the forest. I grew up with cats and dogs my whole life. I have fostered kittens, boarded cats, and stayed with dogs up to 200 pounds. I am available overnight for weekends, nights, and extended periods between Nevada County and Placer County. I usually stay a week or more with fur babies. You can relax knowing I am keeping the utmost care and safety of your animals and home. I want to clarify during our visit if you need care at the 2-hour, 4-hour, or 6-hour interval beyond the overnight stay of 7 pm to 7am. I am currently available most days and nights due to my online graduate program. Communication is key! I will send daily pictures or updates. For best prevention, talking about the details with the owner and ground rules produces the best results. Topics will include where the pet feels most comfortable such a calm spaces or crating procedures. I make sure to go over emergency contacts and preferred clinics. Also, I keep a clean environment that ensures the safety of pets for food handling.

About: I’ve had a passion for animals my whole life and grew up with a wide variety of pets. I am currently a ski patroller in Lake Tahoe now and I am part of our mountains search and rescue avalanche dog team. I have been a second handler for numerous of our dogs over the years training them in search and rescue and obedience. I also have grown up fostering dogs from older dogs to pregnant mama dogs with puppies. I have done it all and my passion is just being around animals! I work at the mountain as a ski patroller in the winters and in the summer I work as a bartender at a lake front restaurant in Lake Tahoe. I would love to fill that time with a furry friend to go on adventures or be cozy inside with. I have lived in tahoe year round for 5 years now and I would love to share my time here with a companion! I live in Truckee, CA along Donner Lake. My house is right across the street from a fenced in private access to the lake! So if you have a water dog I’m sure they would have a blast running around our fenced in lake access area. I will take care for your pet as if they were my own giving them lots of cuddles and endless belly rubs.

About: I have 2 Crested Geckos, and have lived with 4 different friends who owned cats. Within the last year I have walked coworkers dogs countless times and have dog-sat for them as well. I have pet-sat for coworkers in their homes from one night, up to one month. I have also volunteered at the Truckee Humane Society for about a year as well. I have flexible but consistent work hours that allow me to create a routine to take care of your pets. I love going for walks with dogs as well as hanging out and giving both dogs and cats the pets they deserve. I care for pets based off of what they need and what they ask of me. I listen to body language to understand what they need. I am content giving pets their space, or giving them all of the pets they want. I also pay extra attention to bathroom cues to limit accidents within the house.

About: My partner and I both grew up with cats and dogs in our households and we love pet sitting! We do not have any animals of our own due to frequent travel and not wanting the long-term commitment at this point in life, but Rover a great opportunity to fill the void of not having animals around. My boyfriend works remotely and I work on a hybrid schedule with the opportunity to come home for lunch on the days I’m in office. We have ample time to tend to pets and we enjoy getting outside for walks to break up our workdays. Having grown up with many pets, I'm comfortable with them being on furniture and having them feel at home in my space. I believe the best way for animals to feel comfortable is by sticking to their normal daily schedule.

“Taryn was wonderful! She was reliable, trustworthy, flexible and so loving to our 2 Boston Terriers. We were in the area on a ski vacation and Taryn made herself available even on days when we decided last minute to ski. One of our terriers is a puppy and she understood the need for her to walk and play and she gave her ample time to do so. She sent an update and gorgeous photos after every walk which was very reassuring to our whole family that our dogs were being loved and cared for. It was not our plan to bring our dogs with us on vacation, but last minute we were left with no other option. This is the first time we've used Rover and we could not have asked for a better experience with Taryn. We will absolutely be in touch with her if we are back in the area with our dogs. About: Since high school I have had experience with normal pets to the exotic! I can honestly say that each animal is an individual that deserves their specific needs acknowledged and met. I do have experience with senior animals that need medication as well as special needs, there hasn’t been an experience that I haven’t learned from! I’ve even read books like Caesar’s Way in order to better understand my own pets and help them. I’ve even been known to be a bit of a perfectionist although that was in my earlier years now I can gladly say am a seasoned sitter! Caring for your family member fits into my routine because at the moment I am a dog Mom of one dachshund with a good partner that loves her as much as I do! I also do volunteer work, which is extremely flexible. Aside from that a lot of what I do is online, which works out great when pet care is involved I will care for your family member by noting all of their needs as well as asking any questions I have about the environment if it was not already covered in our introduction. I work remotely for a local company so my availability is pretty flexible and will allow me to be with your pup(s) as often as needed. Safety is my top priority. They will be leashed for potty breaks if there isn’t a fenced yard at home and on walks, especially while exploring busy trails and beaches.

About: I have taken care of dogs for many years and when people bring their dog they can feel at ease knowing their dog will receive the best loving care possible.I have always been a dog owner and have cared for multiple breed types.Dogs feel safe at my house. I have plenty of time to walk and play with your dogs. I am available full-time Friday Saturday and Sunday and during the week I can walk your dog.If you want to come up to the mountains and go skiing I am available to watch your dog while you are out on the mountain.If you have more that one pet I can accommodate them. I have a 4 bedroom house and currently I have a small dog named Pepper that enjoys other dogs company. I don't have a fenced-in yard but if you board your dog with me I am very responsible and your dog will stay on the leash when I take the dog for a walk. My house backs up to the power lines and of the woods. There is plenty of places to walk the dog without having to get in a car.When your dog is in my care it's all about your dog. I am person that dogs are drawn to and they love me and they know I'm a dog person.

About: I love animals and started dog care for a family in high school. I’m a runner so I ran with the large dogs and learned to adjust walks to the dogs. I don’t have a dog of my own so i love caring for other people’s dogs. I’m a student at Chico State, but I’m available to dog walk on Thursday’s and weekends. I’m available for house sitting every day of the week :) Any dog I am sitting will enjoy either a leisurely stroll or a run depending on the dog. I am used to many different pets and let them come to me and smell me to get used to me. I can walk them, and put them back in their crate.
