“Julia was great! We left our puppy Sonny with her one afternoon until the afternoon the next day and she kept sending us updates and pictures of him having fun. This made us feel so good knowing that she was taking the best care of him and that he was happy. We would definitely recommend and use Julia again.”

“Wendy and her husband took great care of my dog and sent me updates during the day. Zoe can be shy and sensitive at first with new people, but she warmed up to them so quickly! Their dog Hero is so cute and playful as well. I would recommend her, and Zoe looks forward to her next daycare there!”

“Emily was absolutely amazing! She is incredibly professional, flexible, and easy to communicate with. From the start, she made everything smooth and stress-free, always keeping me updated and making sure my dog was well taken care of. You can really tell she cares and takes her work seriously. I felt completely confident leaving my dog with her, and I could see how happy and comfortable he was the entire time. I highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy, and top-quality care. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Veronica was extremely responsive and professional. She loves dogs and gave our pup constant attention and affection. We were updated with pics and Veronica used the app to inform us of our dogs potty breaks etc so we could plan our pups routine upon his return. I would highly recommend Veronica and I will use her services again.”

About: I am an experienced dog owner, having cared for my own senior dog post surgery. I’m great with administering medication and am always running around being playful with the animals I care for. I’m currently a hybrid worker where I can work from home some days! I am also available on weekends! Pet care is a part of my daily routine since I have my own dog. I have a fenced yard in my own home. I take my own dog out every couple hours or so when I can and give her two 30 min walks if I can.
“Once again, Charlie, the pug had an outstanding time with Peachy and Abby! Even though there was a lot of ice and snow , Charlie and Peachy got to frolic around and get nice and tired together. Always appreciate all the videos. Charlie the pug will most certainly be back!!!”

About: Hi my name is Kassidy! I’m 20, my mom helps me take care of dogs/cats as well😁mommy daughter boarding services, Pups say they love the 🏡 yard the most 😆 I’ve cared for many loving dogs in my 20 years. Dogs/Cats are so adorable and I love spending time with them. I definitely treat them like they’re my actual children 😂 I’m working from home so I have most of my time open to spending it with your pet! They’ll have plenty of rubs, hugs, and attention between us ☺️ My home has a fenced in yard for lots of running around. ⚽️ I like to play outside with the pups as they run off that energy. I know they’ll love it.
“I truly recommend Dan. This is my first time using Rover and naturally wanting the best for my dog, I wanted to make sure she’d be good, and Dan made sure of that. She always checked in with me, provided me updates of Daisy through pictures and videos, and always responds when she can.”

“Outstanding and professional. She is a dog whisperer for my sweet pug with mild anxiety. Very nice convenient location and I could sense the warmth and love before and during the incredible service provided!”

“I’m so happy I found Nari and Ryan. They cared for my Chester as if he were their own dog. I felt so comfortable leaving him with their family. He slept like a baby because they gave him good walks. He also was so happy to return the next day, wagging his tail and running to their door for day 2. They are the best!”

“Rex had a great day at Lu’s house for doggy daycare! He came home very tired from playing around outside. Lu kept me updated with pictures and videos throughout the day which I appreciated ☺️”

“Veronica is a great sitter. Trini was nervous when I left her there but when I picked her up she was so relaxed and happy. I can tell she had a great time there. Would definitely bring her back for more dates with Veronica and her beautiful dogs.”

“Athena was amazing and so reliable. I booked super last minute and she was extremely accommodating, fast responding, and kept me updated with pictures throughout Ozzy’s stay which gave me so much peace of mind. She even fed him homemade food and treats and truly cared for him like her own. I was completely at ease during my trip knowing Ozzy was in such good hands. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kings Point
Elizabeth was absolutely amazing with my puppy Saint! She kept me updated with pictures and messages the entire time, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell he was truly loved and spoiled while I was away. I’m so grateful for the care she gave him and will definitely be using her again. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience with Nari & Ryan and couldn’t be more grateful! They were incredibly accommodating and helped us out on very short notice when we needed last minute doggy daycare. They came highly recommended by our friends, and they absolutely lived up to the praise. Nari was so sweet, responsive, and communicative throughout the day. She kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos of our dog, Frankie, which gave us a peace of mind. Frankie was walked multiple times, and we especially loved seeing how gentle and caring Nari’s daughter was with him! It really added a personal, family oriented touch to the experience. When Frankie came home, he was relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, attentive, and kind dog sitters!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
