“Regan was incredible from start to finish. She is so caring, thorough, thoughtful, and everything you need/want for your pet and their care away from home. Archie spent 10 days with her and Luna. I received daily updates- daily pictures- which created complete ease for my husband and I. She was on top of it from my very first inquiry to the meet n greet to dropping off Archie. Thank you so much Regan. I’m so happy to have met you through Rover and I’m so happy that Archie got loved on by you and your household. Here’s to seeing you in the future!”

“Laura and her family were awesome with Penny! It was our first experience with Rover and it was wonderful. Laura sent pics daily with updates and Penny was so comfortable and at home with her family. Wow, and we picked up a sparkling clean happy dog which is a big deal when it's Minnesota mud season.”

“Words can’t describe how much my husband & I are satisfied with choosing Kelsey to watch our little Roxiie while we were on vacation . She’s very fast at replying , sent us pictures every day of our puppy but most of all bonded & cared for Roxiie like if she was part of her family. She is very kind & cares a lot !!! This was our first time having someone take care of our puppy & thankfully we were blessed with an amazing person to take care of her. She is DEFINITELY our 1st choice from now on! Thank you again so much Kelsey . ❤️”

“Jennifer was a wonderful pet sitter. So wonderful in fact, that my dog Ms. Millie didn't recognize me when I came to pick her up! I will absolutely be asking Jennifer to watch Millie again! Book with confidence! Thank you so much Jennifer!”

“This was our 15 month old ShihPoo’s first overnight with a pet sitter. Mary Beth went the extra mile to make sure Ollie was comfortable, including a meet-and-greet the week of the stay. She provided lots of walks, some pics, and outside time with her own dog and family. Mary Beth and her family also comforted Ollie through his first thunderstorm! I highly recommend her for bookings!”

About: Animals really are way cooler than people. They’re always so chill and honestly a joy to spend time with. They don’t judge you, they don’t complain, they often appreciate our company more than other people do. I really do enjoy spending time with animals. They make daily life a lot easier. While I only have one pet of my own, a ball python by the name of Lyn, I’ve had a lot of past experience caring for animals like cats and dogs, and I find their company to genuinely be something I enjoy. It’s hard for me to talk to others my age, but other adults and their pets tend to be where it’s really at. People who understand the appeal of animals like I do. You’re probably wondering about the important part. Why am I fit to handle your dog(s)? Well. I’ve had dogs for most of my life growing up. I can’t remember a time when we didn’t have a dog. Or that we weren’t house sitting one. My mother brought me with a lot when I was younger to help her house sit dogs on occasional weeks and or weekends. I really enjoy it, genuinely~ Every dog has their own personality, and I like to get to know each unique animal as if they were each their own person. Because they are. And they deserve that kind of respect and understanding. I genuinely love animals. This is what I believe makes me fit for the job. An undying determination to care for animals. Not only that, but I’m pretty experienced with walking and feeding and cleaning up after animals as well! I’m entirely available especially with winter coming up! I can house sit full time over the winter if you’ll be gone, or even just over the holidays as well. I tend to be very personal, yet professional when caring for others animals. I’d never treat a clients animal any differently than my own. All animals deserve love, patience, and respect, regardless of if they’re my animal companion, or yours.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Kimball home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Kimball.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Kimball sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
