About: I have lived with animals almost my entire life. These animals consisted of several dogs and cats, a rabbit, guinea pig, chinchilla, hamster, hedgehog, bearded dragon, some fish, a miniature horse, goats, hens and roosters, peafowl, ducks, turkeys, and geese. Oh my! Since August of 2022, I have been house and pet-sitting full-time in nine different states across the US, looking after over 60 homes with a combined total of upwards of 30+ cats and 30+ dogs. Many of these homes also had houseplants and gardens that needed looking after, and I have experience with growing plants from studying horticulture in college (not a single plant has died under my care yet, fingers crossed). I am newer to the Rover platform but can demonstrate my experience to homeowners in interviews and meet-and-greets with pets. During my time pet and house-sitting around the US, I was often told by homeowners that I take excellent photos of their pets (see profile pics). I take pride in the level of care I provide to pets, including the cute photos I take of them. I can hardly take credit, though, as all of the pets I look after happen to be incredibly photogenic. ;) Although I’m no longer traveling full-time, I still like to keep my schedule relatively free to take on pet care because I love what I do. When I’m at a sit, pet care takes full priority of my time and energy and my entire routine revolves around making sure your pets get the care they need. I intentionally choose work that is flexible so that I can prioritize time with your pets. I have always been able to accommodate pets that cannot be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time. More often than not, I am present at the home during the entirety of the sit because the opportunity to watch over your pets is a welcomed and rewarding break from the constant movement and change that comes with the travel lifestyle I once had. More on my scheduling preferences and availability: - I am comfortable with longer stays (my longest sit so far has been longer than a month). - I love pet-sitting in rural areas and enjoy driving out from the city. My one condition is that the road to your home should be accessible by most cars and not require high clearance or four wheel drive. I don’t currently offer services in my home (yet). When I care for pets in their own home, I try to replicate their routine as closely as possible to what they are used to at home when their owners are present. I wake up at the same time homeowners do, feed pets at their usual time, and take them on walks when they would typically go out at home. That being said, because this is what I do for a living, I have so much more extra time to spend with pets. I’m often able to give pets more loving attention and care than they typically receive in a household where homeowners leave for work during the day. I’m extremely conscious of any potential hazards to pets that may be around the home and keep a clean environment. Homeowners always report their home being cleaner after they return than when they left it. Safety is a top priority of mine. Since I began house-sitting as a service to others, I have experienced situations where pet health was thrown into jeopardy and I was tested on my ability to respond calmly and effectively. During my first-ever house-sit for a client, I navigated a wildfire evacuation and prepared the property according to the homeowners’ instructions (no animals were harmed and no damage to the property). In an another house-sit on a rural farm, I encountered a possum attempting to steal one of the chickens from the coop and successfully secured the safety of the farm animals and caught and relocated the possum (no animals were injured). I understand that unexpected scenarios pop up and I’m proud to house-sit for pet owners knowing that they can rely on me and feel safe leaving their pets in my care. I usually send photo and message updates every other day for homeowners to see how their pets are doing, but I have adjusted this to more or less frequently depending on homeowner preference. Once during a sit, in addition to regular photo and text updates, I also accommodated frequent video calls for an owner to allow her to talk to her chihuahua while she was overseas. They both seemed to appreciate that very much. :)

About: People have always come to me when they need someone to watch their pets. It’s something I enjoy & I am good at it. 😻 I am currently not working so am readily available even holidays & weekends are no trouble. I do have children that may attend at times. If I am walking your dog we may go to the park or for a drive. Kitties I will feed, scoop, pet/play a lil while.

About: I’m a very active person. I love going on walks around town with my own dog multiple times a day. I hope to go on new adventures around town with your dog. I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to schedule walks at anytime throughout the day. I’m very organized which allows me to do both jobs. I care for all pets like they are my own. About: I grew up on a farm so I have experience taking care of a lot of different animals, from dogs to elk and everything in between My own pets include ferrets, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, parrots, fish, and hermit crabs. I want to help you with any and all of your pet and home needs. All services offered! I'm currently only working part-time over the summer so will have lots of availability to care for your pet as needed. I can work from anywhere so am available for housesitting and in-home boarding of your pets. I live in a spacious house with a fenced backyard in a quiet neighborhood with a lot of enrichment opportunities. When fur babies are in my house, they are just like a member of the family and will get lots of exercise, mentally stimulating activities, and cuddles.

About: I have taken care of pets including my own 2 dogs and cat, for a couple years now. I love meeting new pets and playing with them! I am currently an undergrad student at UND. In the summer I work at a daycare caring for infants. I am very flexible on weekends and work a steady schedule on weekdays! I am able to walk, potty, feed, and care for pets in any way they may need on time and just the way you would usually care for you own pets!

About: People and their dogs will love knowing the fact they are able to get exercise during the day and evening to burn energy. We are a family that loves animals! We understand going on vacations and needing in home care for your pets is important. Leave the caring to us. We have two dogs, and a cat. Your pet will be loved and taken care of as if they were our own. We also understand pets are sensitive to change and families leaving. We will provide comfort and a peaceful environment for your pet. We live near a bike path to go on walks and have a large fenced in yard. Plenty of space to play fetch! This is easy! We already have a schedule for our pets. What is one more?! We treat them as our own. We make sure they get plenty of snuggles and pets in too. I have a fenced in yard with two friendly dogs to keep them active and safe. We love playing outside getting fresh air. We also love downtime too, pets are welcome on our couch or we have plenty of dogbeds.

About: I currently work at a dog kennel where Im with them and take care of them every morning and play with them. I have been surrounded by animals my entire life and I wouldn't have it any other way. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats all my life. I used to walk dogs as a kid then take care of my senior dog when he got really sick. I also have a family cat that I love taking care of and seeing. About: I have taken care of pets for 15+ years. I have helped my neighbors, friends and family with their pets while they are gone! I have two German Shepherd’s of my own. I am currently work full time but I have so much flexibility with my job that I can be available whenever works best for you! I will always make sure that your pets are safe with me. About: I just moved back to Grand Forks in December, I’m a registered nurse. I have a mini golden doodle named Paisley and a Ragdoll named Poppy. About: I have grown up with dogs in my house! I volunteered walking dogs at the humane society society for 3 years. I recently just lost my yellow lab and would love to continue to be apart of some dogs lives!(: I have summers off and have lots of free time! I will be teaching some fitness class and would be able to work around that schedule. I will be walking dogs from the clients house hold! I will not be taking care/ housing any animals from my household. I would just like the clients home to be in a safe area to walk in

About: Hello, I love caring for pets! I recently moved to the area. I had a German Schnauzer for 12 years. I now have a Golden Retriever back home. I loved taking them for walks and to the beach and would love to start doing that again with other sweet fur babies. I also took care of my neighbors 8 cats from time to time! I work at Altru Hospital part time and I am a nursing student. I can be a great help! I am a full time student so after class I love to get some walking time in for my exercise so I would love to have a partner! I stay in a complex that is pet friendly and next to a big fun park. Also tons of four legged friends to play with

About: I’ve always loved animals. I had a lot of pets growing up. I’d often dog and cat sit for my neighbors as a teenager and now I dog and cat sit for friends when possible. I used to have a chihuahua who passed away a few years ago at the age of 16. He was my baby and I miss him so much. Unfortunately I’m too busy to have a pet of my own, but I’d love to walk or watch your dog or cat when possible! I currently work from 8-430 Monday-Friday. I would be able to walk or hang out with your pet when I’m done with work. I’d also be willing to take your pet overnight as long as they’re picked up in the morning. I will be available some weekends and on the weekends I’d be willing to take your pet all day and possibly overnight. I always make sure that my clients pet has fresh water and is fed on time. I also provide potty breaks at least every 2 hours in the day time or as needed. I do not have a fenced yard so if I were to watch your dog at my place I would take him outside on a leash.
