“Shanna is great. She has been patient and collaborative in planning for my Roxie's care. We had a meet and greet, then a short daycare stay, then a full day of daycare. She is well versed in dog behavior. My dog, coincidentally a "pitbull type" is often categorized and judged as "vicious or aggressive" even before people meet her. I've had dog sitters on Rover decline to provide services simply because of her breed or her appearance. Shanna understands that Roxie is a dog: a dog with her own level of prey drive (so Roxie is not allowed in her daughter's room cause of the hamster she has); a dog with some anxiety who barked at her husband when he came into the house. They didn't freak out. Shanna understood Roxie's behavior and worked through it, allowing Roxie to get to know her husband, settle and move on. I truly appreciate her family's openness and acceptance. We have two more full days of daycare booked and if all continues well, we will book boarding services. Roxie is people and dog friendly, but the discrimination we have experienced on Rover, leads me to take things in a new daycare/boarding situation slowly. Shanna has been very reassuring and understanding. throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend her.”

About: Hi! I’m new to Rover, but I’ve been caring for my best friend’s large dogs for years while she’s away on business trips sometimes for up to two weeks at a time. I absolutely love being around dogs and enjoy every part of their care, from feeding and walking to cozy snuggles on the couch. After years of caring for dogs, I decided to join Rover as a side passion. I live in a dog-friendly apartment complex with two on-site dog parks, which are perfect for playtime and exercise. I take dogs out for walks 3 to 4 times a day and always make sure to clean up after them — we have convenient poop bag stations throughout the community. While I don’t have dogs of my own right now, I treat every pup like family. I welcome overnight bookings, and your dog is more than welcome to relax on the couch. There are no restrictions here when it comes to comfort and cuddles. I’m excited to meet your furry friend and give them all the love and attention they deserve! As a full-time stay-at-home mom of three boys, I’m home most of the day and able to provide consistent care and attention to your dog. Your dog will be in a safe, attentive, and family-friendly environment while you’re away. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I create a calm, supervised environment where dogs can feel at home. Because I’m home throughout the day, I’m able to keep a close eye on your pup and give them plenty of attention, bathroom breaks, and playtime. My apartment is pet-friendly with secure areas for walking and play. We have two on-site dog parks and designated pet waste stations, which makes daily outings clean and convenient. Inside, dogs are welcome on the couch and are never confined unless requested by the owner. I’m experienced with large breeds and understand how to manage dogs with different energy levels and personalities. I also keep communication open with pet parents, sending updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you’re away. About: I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you! I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.

About: I have always had dogs and im an experienced horse rider. (we have a doggie door installed) so they can enjoy the backyard or do their necessities there. -Dogs sleep in the room with us on their bed so we can keep an eye on them and they can sleep safe and warm. -We live in a safe and calm neighborhood so we can go on walks -I feed my dogs twice a day and leave water out all day for them to drink freely -We have a ring camera for security and trusty neighbors -I would love to meet you before dropping your dog off! and you can meet my dogs if you'd like too :) -I send pictures and updates! (As many as you'd like, I dont mind at all: I know its hard being away from our babies) I know how important dogs are to their families! so please let me know any concerns or questions you might have (Im happy to answer!) My backyard is completely fenced and its basically owned by my dogs (they use it freely all day) I dont go out much , so your dog might not spend any time alone whatsoever :) I let my dogs get on my couch but not the bed! they're allowed to be around the house wherever they want. *I prefer potty trained or crate trained dogs (we have a carpet sadly) * My dogs are sterilized, vaccinated and they're super sweet and playful with dogs that like to play. If your dog prefers their own space I can accommodate them, but no aggressive or destructive dogs please.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life. I mostly grew up around German Shepards and miniature Dobermans. I have two dogs of my own named Milo and Bear. I adopted Milo when he was a little less than a year from the pound. I got Bear just 6 months later from someone who couldn’t keep him. I love dogs and want to help take care of your pets! I am a stay at home mom and I also work from home. Working from home gives me flexibility to be able to be there for your pets. In my home or your home your pets safety and well being is my top priority. I will treat your pets with the same love l treat mine with. I believe pictures and videos are important to provide to show you how your pet is doing. I also send updates about your pets like what they’ve been up to and if I have concerns I definitely would let you know. I do live in a one bedroom apartment but I have a front yard I can take your dogs out for fresh air and to use the bathroom.

I am currently a student doing online classes at Indiana state where I play basketball.
