“Oren and his family and pups treated Kakashi so well! He was spoiled with fun having a playmate all week. I was sent a ton of photos and updates so I never had to worry! I will definitely be using your services again, and maybe even add some additional play date services moving forward knowing how comfortable he was with you! Thank you again so much!”
“Jen is so welcoming and makes you feel good knowing she'll love your fur baby the same as you do. She even gets up super early with ours bc he's used to our schedule. She's a gem I've used her 2xs now and will continue.”
“I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Amanda. She watched our 2 dogs this week, 2 separate times that we needed to travel overnight. You can tell she genuinely adores every dog she cares for and she is so great about sending updates and pictures. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for peace of mind when they have to be away from their fur babies.”
About: I’m a pet lover who enjoys spoiling and sending back home ;). Unfortunately, my work schedule does not align with the love and care a pet would need full time right now which is why this is perfect for us all! I will only provide boarding for a single pet unless they come from the same family home so they will have all of my attention! I love walks so if your pup does too then it’s a perfect match! You won’t need to worry about your pet on vacation because I promise they will be vacationing themselves! On the days of availability I will be home full time with all attention available to your pet! I only provide care to one pet at a time (unless they are coming from the same household) so they will be very spoiled! I love walks so if your pet does too, we are a perfect match! I have a fenced in yard and do not have any animals in the house. Your dog will have access to the inside and outside. They do need to be trained but I do also keep in mind that accidents happen.
“We have had the best experience with their day care, nail trimming, and boarding services. So responsive, accommodating, and our dog, Frank, absolutely loves it here. They take such good care of him while we’re away that I think he has more fun when we go on vacation than we do!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my whole life and love providing a safe living home where your animals feel loved and safe. I work from home as a software developer and have plenty of free time to give your fur babies the attention they need. Call me!! We have a full basement with plenty of room to run and play. We also have a backyard that we put our dogs and yours on a leash tethered to the fence to keep them from roaming. Also take frequent walks to stretch their legs!!
About: Hi, I’m Mirian. As an experienced pet sitter, I provide dedicated care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and bearded dragons. Having owned two dogs, I understand the deep bond between pets and their families. I know trust is essential when choosing a caregiver. I am committed to offering your furry and scaled family members reliable, attentive, and high-quality care! :) Since I am currently working part time I thought this was the chance to make some money doing something I love, taking care of dogs! My schedule is not consistent but I normally work 3 days a week. My calendar will always be up to date so you know my availability! If you have any questions, always feel free to ask! Thank you;) When it comes to anyone’s animal, I will always treat them like my own. I will always be paying attention to what they do and how they react in situations so nothing happens. Takings walks, giving meals/medicine, cleaning up after them, making sure they aren’t in any danger, looking after them at all times, and being able to keep them comfortable with me is always going to be my priority.
“Otheus did a great job with my 2 doggos. He kept me updated throughout the day on how they were doing and when we came to pick up the boys the next morning, both of the boys seemed to enjoy being around him. He has a great setup for the dogs, and we plan on using him again in the future.”
“They took great care of my pup, checked in with updates, and ensured she god along with their German Shepherd great! Definitely recommend Devan and will be boarding with him again!”
“5 stars all the way! Jessica took great care of our big 'ol fur baby. She sent pictures and updates everyday and spoiled our doggo almost as much as we do! 100% WILL be using her again......VERY soon. In fact I will be booking several more dates this year later on today! THIS IS who you should be using to care for your fur baby!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Kenton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Kenton.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Kenton sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
