“Abbey did a great job with my two dogs when I went on an overnight trip. She had great communication and sent me some cute pictures of them. I don’t often leave them with someone they don’t know, but Abbey was splendid and I would definitely book her again!”
“I love that Aimee came for a very thorough "meet n greet". Aimee was wonderful with our two dogs. They warmed up to her immediately. She always got back to me as soon as I texted her. Thank you Aimee for allowing me to feel as ease right away with leaving our babies. Overall positive experience. Thank you.”

“Jasmine came out to meet my dog & cat prior to pet sitting and was very sweet to my silly dog. She communicated throughout our trip and carried in delivered packages. It was clear to me that my pets were happy with the pictures Jasmine sent. We will definitely book with her again!”

“I am so grateful we found Kristen! She was reliable, professional, and cared for our dog Bella like her own. She is so sweet and thoughtful. Kristen is a great communicator. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and would absolutely use her services again in the future.”

About: I have been a regular pet sitter for friends, family, and coworkers since I was a teenager. I have experience with large or small dogs, elderly dogs, cats, and pets that need medication or other accommodations. I have experience with dog-sitting for up to two weeks at a time. This has sometimes included, but is not limited to, administering medication, cleaning up messes inside and outside, walking, feeding, and bathing. Ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of each pet I take care of is my top priority and it is one of my favorite things to do in the world! I do not have the same schedule weekly, so I will constantly update my availability. I only know my availability up to 3 weeks in advance. Unless I have to work very early the next day, I am available for overnights at least 3 days a week (typically). I am unable to have pets at my house because I live with a family member’s dog that does not do well with other animals. Please give me any and all instructions! I will make sure to follow any routine that I can for your pet to be comfortable. I will provide as many updates/photos as requested.
“Lauren was absolutely amazing with our pups. She gave daily updates and pictures, very communicative, and we could tell our pups were well taken care of when we got home. Highly recommend her! We will definitely use her again.”

“Bella was GREAT with our pup! He can be a bit of a handful from time to time and she managed his weirdness extremely well. She left our home nice and tidy as well. Will definitely be asking her to watch George again!”

“Kari did a short notice house sitting for both of my dogs while I had to attend a funeral out of town. I came home to two very happy boys! She communicated with me throughout the day and followed all of the requirements I left to a T.”

About: Hi! My name is Michelle, and I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated from Purdue University in May 2026. I’ve been pet sitting for the past five years, with four of those years backed by the veterinary knowledge and hands on experience I’ve gained throughout my education and career. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of animals and truly love caring for them. I would be happy to provide your fur babies with the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away! 🐾❤️ My typical work schedule is Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. I’m available for pet care before or after work during the week, and I have more flexibility on weekends. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and schedule to make sure they receive the care and attention they need! I care for each pet according to their individual needs, personality, and routine. I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, medication, exercise, and potty schedules to help keep them comfortable and stress free while their owners are away. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship, while also keeping a close eye on their behavior and overall wellbeing. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, I have additional experience recognizing changes in a pet’s health and know when something may need extra attention. Most importantly, I treat every pet like they’re my own and want them to feel safe, happy, and loved while in my care!
“Trinity was so great! Great communication and our pups were able to be cared for in our home, which we are always most comfortable with. Highly recommend and will use again!”

“Thank you for taking such good care of our furr babies!! Thank you for being so trust worthy and communicative. I knew they were in good hands and was able to relax while out of town. Also, thank you for taking care of the house. Will book again!”

About: I graduated vet tech school in 2019, have been in the field ever since & had multiple pets of my own over the years! I will take care of both cats and dogs, size of dog doesn’t matter! I’m currently working full time, but I will be more than willing to discuss how I can provide services that fit into not only my schedule but yours as well! I am also available on weekends. I have a backyard but offer services more often in your home than mine. I have worked for bosses where it entailed working for them in their home and having access there so I will make sure to do what I can to put your mind at ease that you can trust me 100%!
“Kelly did a great job taking care of our senior dachshund Daisy (and our home). She put us at ease with a meet and greet prior to our night away. Kelly is a great communicator and sent several pictures of Daisy while we were gone. We will definitely have Kelly back to stay with Daisy again!”
About: I am dog mom and they are my pride and joy. I have had dogs since I was very young. Currently, I have a huge fenced-in (7 ft fence) backyard if your pup would like to come over and play! I also live in a little neighborhood that is perfect for walks but I would be more than happy to walk around your area. I am an animal lover! I love dogs of all breeds and sizes. I don't have as much experience with cats but have done drop in visits for many clients that have went great. I recently took in a pregnant stray kitty and took care of her through her delivery and the mama and her babies all great homes. So although I have not personally had a cat, I have some great experience. I love to take walks, go to parks, cuddle, and play with my dogs. I would love to help you out and meet yours! Being around animal and helping people are the two things that bring me the most joy in life. I can assure you your loved ones would be more than safe and cared for with me! I am very observant, reliable and would watch over your baby like they are my own. They may be a little spoiled by the end (if you approve of course) but overall they will be so well taken care! Personally, it is so hard for me to leave my two pups and when I'm gone, I worry about them so I know how hard it is to trust someone to keep your babies safe as well as happy and loved. I will always do the absolute most to make sure they are taken care of and happy. It is so important to me that all animals are safe and in good hands, as I believe they are family! I look forward to hearing from you :) I work Monday through Friday but I am usually home by 4/4:30pm, so I am free in the evenings and I am definitely free on the weekends if you need me. If you around my work location, I can stop in during the day. Messaging me is the easiest way to check my availability for your needs! At my home, I have a huge fenced in backyard (7ft fence) and my little yorkies cannot get out of the yard so I think any breed would be safe to run freely in my backyard. I have tons of treats and bowls for food and water! I only have two small cages inside but have a larger (5ftx5ft) kennel in our backyard as well. If I am coming to a clients home, I can drop in anytime to let your pets outside or just stop by to feed and water them as well as play times and walks! I love spending time with animals and making sure they are well taken care of so I am open to just about any service!
About: I've had dogs for over 12 years and have been volunteering at local shelter for two years. Dogs are my passion. I love spending time with them. The only reason I don't have any at this time is because I travel a lot. My hours are currently very flexible. I have time during the week and on weekend and I am available upon short notice to sit or walk your dog. I have no pets of my own currently. I will happily watch your dog at your house or walk it in your neighborhood where it's comfortable.

“Lucy was AMAZING. I have had some not very good experiences on rover so I was already a little nervous leaving my (very needy) pup with someone but he loved her right away, he usually takes forever to warm up to people so this was a HUGE surprise/plus. She sent me so many pictures and updates every day to ensure me he was in good hands! He had so much fun playing with Lucy and she never got tired of his endless love for fetch :) Lucy will be the only person I use for my pet sitting needs going forward! I highly highly recommend as this was the best experience I have had with someone watching my pup!”

About: Mom of 2 hooomans (13&17I also have a Pomeranian, Mika. If you want your pet to be spoiled, you’ve come to the right place, lol. I work part time so I’m pretty flexible right now. I’m looking to add some work to my schedule doing something I love & enjoy! If you’re boarding your pet with me in my home, a crate will need to be provided for short periods of time if I need to step out and can’t bring them with me! I secure each dog on a leash when taking them outside on walks or to potty. Unless you have a fenced yard. I support treats, (:

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kennard walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kennard maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kennard choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kennard. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
