About: I’ve taken care of all different types of dogs in my time. With 3 large breed dogs of my own, I am comfortable training, playing with, walking, and medicating all shapes and sizes. I have first hand experiences with different species, including Reptiles, Birds, cats, and rodents. At my own home I have 2 cats and a dog on daily prescriptions so I am familiar with administering different types of treatment, including insulin, and always strive to keep it as comfortable as possible. I am currently working full time at Southeast Missouri State University as staff, but that won’t stop me from providing the top care for your pets. I can stop before 8am, again at lunch, back at dinner and even a later evening visit if I’m not staying full time. Petcare is already apart of my daily routine. Since I have so many of my own animals I do not accept boarding animals at my own home, for the safety of all pets involved. I strive to keep pets on as close to their regular schedule as possible. I can stay overnight, pop in for walks or day visits, whatever and whenever you need me I will be there!
About: I grew up on a farm with a lot of animals to care for. I also have bottle fed and raised a puppy from day one. I’ve raised many kittens and older cats as well. I can administer medications if needed. I will play with them, take them for walks, love on them, whatever they need! I am a Registered Nurse so I care for pets on my days off! I work 3 nights a week so I have four available days usually! I have an 11 year old well trained black lab and a very friendly cat that loves dogs too! I will provide any care your animal needs.
“Haley was amazing with our two kitties! We had some very detailed instructions and she followed everything to a T. She provided clear constant communication while we were away and we felt our kitties were in great hands. Would definitely book again, thank you Haley!”

About: With my experience from working in a vet I’ve learned how to administer medications, handle dogs that may be difficult to handle, trimming nails, expressing anal glands, care for senior dogs, and the list goes on! I currently have one client who I’ve been working for now, she has 6 dogs, 5 goats and chickens! I love dogs of all ages and sizes and love giving a good belly rub! I currently work part time at Charles Hutson horticulture greenhouse. I will have school starting in fall, but will have an open schedule throughout the day! If I am house sitting I go to the clients home and stay with the pets throughout the day and make sure to let dogs out when needed, give medications when they are needed, and I also stay over night at the house if I am watching them for multiple days.
“Amy and Aaron have been amazing with my puppy! They follow my instructions to a T and always take such great care of him. Amy is very responsive to text messages even when not actively taking care of Bo. I would recommend using them!”

About: Reliable and Loving Dog Sitting Experience As a passionate animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, I take pride in providing safe, loving, and reliable care for your furry companions while you're away. My goal is to offer peace of mind to pet owners by creating a comfortable, fun, and stress-free environment for dogs, whether it's just for a few hours or an extended stay. I’ve cared for dogs of almost all breeds and sizes, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing special care. Every dog is unique, and I’m committed to understanding their specific needs, routines, and personalities to ensure they feel at home in my care. I believe in giving each dog personalized attention, ensuring they receive plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and affection. One of my most memorable experiences as a dog sitter was caring for a lively Golden Retriever named Max. Max loved his daily walks, playtime in the yard, and cuddling on the couch after a long day. I made sure to stick to his usual routine so he felt safe and comfortable. Whether it was ensuring he got his favorite treats or providing interactive toys to keep him engaged, I always put his happiness first. Max's owners were thrilled to see how happy and relaxed he was when they returned! Beyond just walking and feeding, I offer additional services such as administering medications if needed, sending regular updates, and providing plenty of playtime and snuggles. I am also fully prepared to handle any unexpected situations with a calm and responsible approach. If you're looking for a loving, trustworthy, and experienced dog sitter who will treat your pet like family, I would love to connect and discuss how I can help give your dog the best care possible while you're away! I can adjust hours to match your schedule, whether you need morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening care. Weekends: I’m available all day, including overnights, so your pet will receive the same level of attention and care during the weekend as during the week. Holidays: I offer care over holidays as well! Please feel free to reach out to discuss your needs for special dates. Custom Schedules: If your pet has a specific routine or requires multiple visits or longer stays, I’m happy to tailor the care to fit. Just let me know what works best for you and your pet, and I’ll make sure everything is arranged to suit their needs. Always supervising pets during outdoor activities to make sure they stay safe and healthy. Trust You Can Rely On: I understand that leaving your pet with someone else can be a big decision. I work hard to build trust with both you and your dog by: Sticking to your dog's routine, including feeding times, exercise, and any special instructions. Providing regular updates via text or photos, so you can see how your dog is doing and feel connected while you're away. Being transparent and responsive to any concerns or special requests you may have during the sitting period. Comfortable and Loving Environment: Creating a calm and familiar environment for your dog is essential to their happiness. In my care, they’ll feel right at home because: I offer a cozy and pet-friendly space with plenty of room for them to relax and play. I ensure lots of one-on-one attention to keep them engaged, happy, and comfortable. For pets with special needs or preferences, I can accommodate specific requirements to make sure they feel as comfortable as possible. Whether you’re going away for a weekend or need long-term care, I am here to provide a loving, safe, and trust-filled experience for your pet. Your dog will be in great hands, and you can enjoy your time away knowing they are well taken care of.
About: I have always had people come to me to take care of their pets because to me they are family and they deserve that treatment. I am an athlete at SEMO so I don’t get to see animals often, but they are one of my most favorite things in the world. Besides school and sports they would be my main priority and it would mean a lot to take care of them when I am available. I can easily take care of your dog the way you would like me to, but if you feel the need for them to have extra care such as taking walks or playing catch I can do that as well.
“Skyler was great with Stacy and easy to coordinate with. He was able to meet with Stacy and I before his first sitting with her, and all went well in his care. I will definitely be reaching out to him again for drop offs and for overnight trips.”

I also can bath or/and clip nails along with making sure they are fed the proper amount of food at the proper time of day. I’m also very organized when it comes to how often and how much of a distance my own dog needs to walk. I want to ensure that animals and their owners can trust me at all times. I’m currently attending college and can be very flexible throughout the week because 5 days out of the week I have a free afternoon! I am able to work around your schedule! Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
