“Marty and her family were absolutely AMAZING and took such good care of our two chihuahuas, Ella and Louis! They are such a kind family and took in our babies like they were their own, taking them for lots of walks and playing with them in their great back yard, snuggling with them on the couch and in bed and giving them tons of love and attention. We received lots of photos and updates while we were gone, which is always great, and it looks like everyone had an excellent time! It's always nerve-racking leaving your dogs with someone new, but my husband and I felt so comfortable leaving our dogs with Marty that we didn't worry about them at all while we were away. Marty is THE BEST and we will be using her every time we travel!!! THANK YOU MARTY! ”

“Leah was THE BEST sitter we ever had. She is knowledgeable and most importantly, loving towards my little babies. We will highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who will treat your babies like they were her own.”

“Andrew and his wife were incredible! Super friendly, took our pup for plenty of walks and showed her lots of love. I really appreciate their attention to detail and care. Will definitely be using them in the future!”
“I already shared all the good things in my first review, so I’ll just say this: I came back for a reason! Once again, he was great with my dog and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again. 😊”

“This was my first time using Rover and Victoria made it so easy and amazing. Evelyn can be a lot to handle but there was no issues with Victoria. I had constant communication and pictures being sent. Highly highly recommend! I will definitely go through her in the future.”
“I was going away for the night in Frankenmuth. My normal dog sitters were unavailable so I decided to find someone closer to my destination and that's when I saw Sarah's profile. Her background in behavior and training excited me because of my guys history. I chatted with her about his personality and she immediately made me feel comfortable. She took time during his stay to not only 'Dog Sit' but to gage his behaviors and then spent some time with me when I picked him up sharing her insights and giving me guidance on managing him and to make sure to tell me how good of a boy he really is. If I lived closer we would be working with her all the time. I might even consider the 2 hour drive for 1:1 training in the future. Highly recommend to anyone near or far!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Dog Sitters – Like a Second Home for My Pups! I can’t recommend our dog sitters enough! From the very first message, their communication was warm, prompt, and professional. They made everything so easy and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Our dogs stayed at their home, and honestly, it felt more like sending them on a vacation than dropping them off with sitters. They were welcomed like family, and it was clear they were treated with so much love and care. One of my favorite parts was getting regular updates — texts, photos, and videos — showing all the fun adventures, playtime, and snuggles. Even better, they have a dedicated Instagram account [@trutails_] where they post the cutest highlights of their time with the dogs. It was such a joy to follow along and see how genuinely happy and relaxed our pups were in their care. The house is super dog-friendly, and our dogs settled in immediately. When we picked them up, they were happy, healthy, and honestly didn’t seem like they wanted to leave — which says it all! If you’re looking for dog sitters who will treat your pets like their own, provide a loving home environment, and keep you in the loop every step of the way, these are your people. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them!”

“Mandy was so great with our dog Juni! Juni got sick while we were away and Mandy was super communicative and helped us get information to the vet. It was a really stressful situation but Mandy handled it so well and we can't thank her enough!”

“Haley hosted our 10yo golden retriever in her home for 5 days. They have an excellent fenced in backyard and two kiddos to keep pups busy! Haley also did home visits for our cat, who needs insulin shots with his food. She came over once before our vacation to see how to care for our cat and we returned to a healthy and happy feline! The daily photos we got were such a reassurance that our pets were in great hands. We definitely will use Haley again for our future trips. Easy to communicate and coordinate with!”

“Stephanie was great. My dogs loved her and seemed very happy. I loved getting pictures and updates so I could see my babies were doing well. Will definitely request her again when I need a pet sitter 👍👍”

“Kaylynn and Andrew took good care of Higgins. He came home happy and loved playing with their dog, Mobie. Easy to communicate with them. Would definitely have them watch Higgins again.”

About: I started on Rover a few years back, and have met so many amazing animals and families along the way! I love animals and giving them the attention they deserve, especially when their family is out of town and they don’t know what’s going on! I love making sure they don’t feel lonely throughout the day. I’m very familiar with separation anxiety and making them feel extra loved! I have experience with small dogs to dogs bigger than me. I have watched senior dogs with lots of limitations, puppies with so much energy they don’t know what to do with it, and special needs dogs that has additional requirements. I have watched 1 dog to 5 dogs at a time. I have also stayed and taken care of reptiles, chickens, etc. I live in Fenton and work full-time in Flint. I do work full time from 8a-4:30p. And if it permits, will stop during my lunch break to visit as well! I am available evenings and weekends. I have been utilizing my younger sister to help work schedules out as well. She’s been really awesome with the animals and is more available for frequent visits during the day. I would bring her with me for the meet and greet to ensure you your animals are well taken care of while you’re gone 😊 anything I cannot cover, she usually does! I have a fenced in back yard with lots of room for running around and playing! I love being outside, especially if it’s nice, so walks or visits to the dog park will be routine for us! I do work full time, 8am-4:30pm. I am available to stop during my lunch hour for potty breaks, walks, etc. I am most available after work and on the weekends! I know the importance of making sure your animal is getting the love they’re used to when you’re home. I always want to make them feel extra loved and special, especially when they’re in an environment they might be uncomfortable in because it’s a new space (if boarding at my house) or you’re not home. Stimulation is very important to I always make sure to pay them more attention than they probably even need! And treats and important too, if their diet allows :)
“Kristen was amazing! She kept us up to date on how everything was going. She also sent pictures and went above and beyond to make our puppies feel comfortable! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter! Thank you for making this such a wonderful experience!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
