About: I have cared for my families dogs all my life! There were always dogs, cats, fish, chickens, horses, and birds in my childhood home. I have also spent time working at boarding facilities and managing clientele and there pets in the past. I have a deep love for animals and have always enjoyed playing with and training them. I work a few days out of the week as a ski instructor and have pretty laid back evenings. I am spending the rest of my time just working from home! I love caring for pets in their own home! It makes them feel more comfortable and allows for there to be routine for the animal. I like to stay consistent with the care they typically would receive. I love to hike, bike, cross country ski, and jog. I’d love to take your dog along with me on my adventures if they like getting outdoors! “Tanya was the first dog sitter I’ve had stay at my home with my two German Shepherds. They can be a lot and I was very nervous! Tanya came for a meet and greet and even dropped off a gift for the pup after that. She walked the puppy to help him feel more comfortable before I left. I was out of the country with no cell connection for 10 days and she was fabulous! I never worried about the house or the dogs and I came home to a calm clean house. She went above and beyond. I'm recently retired from a long career as a professional equestrian and horse trainer, and I'm excited to begin this journey of offering pet care services to the community! I have experience with all types and ages of pets ... from very young to very senior. I have experience administering medications, giving injections, and basic first aid. My lifestyle is active, and I'm happy to provide whatever exercise that your pet needs, whether that is a long trail hike, or simply walks around the neighborhood. And lots of love and snuggles of course :) I also have extensive horse experience, and limited experience with other livestock, and I'm happy to provide services for those animals as well. I currently work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule, which allows me to work around whatever your pet care needs are. I have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle, so I can get to some of the further out Nevada County destinations no problem. I pride myself on being punctual, organized and reliable, and you can rest assured that your pet(s) and home will receive attentive and loving care. I am happy to take care of any additional tasks that you might need around your home while you're away (checking mail, taking out trash, watering plants/garden, etc. )

About: I love all animals but I am especially great with special needs and elderly ones. I have 2 dachshunds, and they are my life. I will treat yours as though they are my own. I am taking time off from the daily grind and therefore have lots of time to spend with your beloved fur babies and mine. We will spend time outside or cuddling, having deep chats figuring out the solutions to the universal problems etc. My dogs are allowed anywhere I am allowed that includes car bed couch and any other spot they feel drawn to. I make my dogs food but totally respect all dog food choices you may make.
