“Leah took excellent care of my cat and regularly provided updates, including photos and videos. She was very accommodating, and I was extremely happy with her service.”

“Tim and his wife are the best! I don’t trust just anyone with my pup, but when Chester stays with Tim, I don’t have a single worry! I have used Tim time and time again and couldn’t recommend him enough.”

“Katie kept me updated and sent pics! Lula was happy when she arrived and when she left Katie’s house and seemed to have a great time. So glad to have found someone to care for my fur child when we are out of town”
“We were really happy with the process. We hadn’t used rover before and wasn’t sure exactly how it would go. I met with Leanne and her family when I dropped our dogs off with her and felt comfortable with it, while they were there she sent pictures of them playing and running around enjoying themselves. We have two dogs one little young one full of energy who is also a little nervous around new people and one big older pit mix who’s a big baby and wants to play tug and cuddle but can be a bit hard headed. My wife and I were absolutely happy with the whole situation and were able to enjoy our vacation without having to worry. Would 100% recommend Leanne 😁”

About: I have 10+ years of experience with animals. Growing up by a dirt road in Alabama ,I always made sure to care for and find homes for them while also having our own, I’ve taken college corses on training dogs although didn’t finish due to becoming a mother. We have a large backyard fenced, covered& partly enclosed patio & love to give. Animals are truly a wonderful being to have around and I want to teach my children the importance of them. I’ve watched big dogs & small dogs although starting off with this app I’m looking to watch small dogs. I take my oldest son to library, we can spend anywhere between 1-4 hours there & I pick up my youngest from his program at 3pm (right down the road) other than weekly/biweekly grocery/shopping trips, I’m at the house. We treat your dog like our family so that means ofc they are allowed on the couch and we have a fenced in back yard & covered patio while we love to spend time outside so you can be assured majority of the time we will be right there beside em. I do have a cat who spends majority of the time in our bedroom.
“Teresa was wonderful. Kind and thoughtful to make sure our Maggie had a good time. Even a new friend in Snickers. Perfect experience. Thank you Teresa. Will reach out again.”

“Francie was an excellent sitter. She maintained communication and sent me pictures of my babies daily. I am so grateful to have found someone as caring and compassionate as her to care for my fur babies”

“Linda and Dwight were great with our Ellie. Linda sent lots of pictures and communications while we were away. Ellie seemed right at home with them, which made us feel very much at ease being away from our girl. We hope Linda is available to watch Ellie the next time we go out of town.”

“My dogs had another great experience with Melanie for 5 days when I went on vacation. They love it there and her other dogs. The videos and photos she sent each day of my dogs made me feel happy to see them playing and relaxing at her house. Melanie is great, and I’m so happy I found her.”

“Our dogs came home happy and content. Shannon was great about scheduling and very accommodating to our last minute request. We look forward to them staying with her again!”

“My handsome 10 yr old Great Dane mix has regained his youth over these last few weeks with Ebony. Made me feel good that he was able to enjoy himself so much and make a few friends and girlfriends ?”

“Tami was absolutely fantastic! It was our first time using Rover and she made us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs with her all weekend. She updated us with photos and loved our dogs like they were her own! We will definitely be going back to her!”

“Our pup did great at Mandi’s! I didn’t have to worry at all because she sent pictures of his day and an update of what he did. She was so sweet to send him home with a personalized bandana and a jar of homemade treats! Definitely recommend!”

“We left our 3 dogs for 6 nights with Sarah for the first time recently for a cruise. Sarah was great as 2 of our dogs are on medication and one dog also has epilepsy. She put our mind at ease as she was able to care for their special needs and she sent us photos and updates. Our dogs must have had a good time and well cared for as my Shih Tzu kept trying to run back in our house when we were trying to leave! :) Would use Sarah again. 100%.”

“Jennifer was amazing. I received daily updates including photos and videos. I came home to two healthy and happy pups and couldn’t have asked for anything more. I think they were sorry to leave. I will definitely rebook if she’ll have us!”

“Excellent pet sitter! She boarded our puppy for two nights and took great care of her. Our puppy came home happy, healthy, and well-loved. Great communication and a caring environment. Highly recommend!”

“Bryan was a lifesaver with our last minute plans. He’s friendly and prompt and he sent photos and updates while we were on our trip so my kids were super reassured. My dog 🐶 didn’t show any behavioral signs of stress when she got home and even seems to be a bit better behaved. 😅 We would love to rebook for future trips. Thank you!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
