“Lauranne was absolutely wonderful with my dog. I received frequent updates and photos throughout the day, which put my mind at ease. I was especially impressed with their patience in dealing with his picky eating habits, which can be a challenge. It was so clear how much she cared for my dog, and I came home to a happy, tired pup. Highly recommend! Laurie is the best! I finally found a trustworthy, caring boarder! Thank you so much Laurie! I appreciate you! I will definitely get on your schedule for future getaways!”

“Great couple to watch our pup. We wanted someone with a fenced in yard and other dogs to help socialize and tire our pup out and that’s exactly what we got. Our girl was happy to come back after the initial meet and greet and happy to book with them in the future.”

“This was our first experience using Rover. We needed someone to keep our girl during a few days of our crazy travel itinerary which included some activities that were not doggy friendly. Tiffany was GREAT.. couldn’t have asked for a better experience for Jolene. Much better than just boarding at home. Thanks again… we’ll see ya next year!”

“Melody is loving and knowledgeable about dogs. She truly gave our dog a home to stay in and not just food, water, and shelter. We would not hesitate to have a return booking and we would highly recommend.”

“Zelda suffers from separation anxiety, but she quickly adjusted to Monica and the new surroundings and appeared to have had a relaxing and restful 3-day stay. Monica kept us well informed throughout the stay and sent photos of our happy dog.”

“I have 2 small, senior dogs with special diets and medicines three times daily. One can have a "grumpy old man" attitude. They had not stayed with anyone but family & friends in the 2 & 4 years I've had them. Rumi and her husband were absolutely wonderful with them (and with me ☺️)! They were very flexible with me when my drop off schedule kept changing. She sent me pictures, videos, updates. The dogs always looked content. She advised me at pick up of a lump they felt on one dog. I highly recommend and will be using again.”

“Thanks so much for the polaroid, treats, plushie, giftcard and for Malbecs Bath!! And thanks so much for being the best dog sitter for her!! She loves you all so much!! Is a blessing to have someone like you in a country where we have no family at all!! We feel so confident by leaving our baby with you”

“Fern will definitely be going back to Vicki’s again. I never had any doubt about my dog being cared for and loved while staying with Vicki and her family. I would 100% recommend her for dog sitting.”

“Very satisfied with Elizabeth she was friendly and easy to deal with! Our pup got along great with her and Scooby Doo right away. She did a great job keeping us informed while Ember was in her and her family’s care.”

About: I have been around animals of all kinds and sizes my whole life. I have been raised to love and care for pets. I am attentive to their needs and love dedicating time—including play time—toward them. I have provided pet sotting services both in my home and in other homes, have administrated medications for my clients, and have performed nail trimmings and baths to keep pets looking their best. I am also good with walking dogs and teaching them tricks. I have taken care of senior pets. I am patient, kind, and respectful of all breeds. As someone who works from home, I am usually always with my pets! I wake up around 8am and serve breakfast. Lunch is at 1pm and dinner at 6pm with a treat and plenty of potty breaks in between. In my home, I have a fenced in yard and plenty of toys for fun. I also have four dogs and four cats, all vaccinated, to keep your pets company. In your home, I am comfortable doing whatever you need me to.
“I'm very happy with Heather. I think our dog had a great time with her and her family. He was very relaxed and happy when I picked him up. Heather kept me updated everyday with pictures/video and a description of how he was doing, which I really appreciated. I will definitely use her again in the future. I think my dog even misses being at her house a little bit.”

“Makenzie and Jared were an awesome couple to take care of Macy. Macy immediately made friends with them at our meet and greet which made the drop off so easy. Makenzie sent many pictures and updates of Macy and her response to the thunderstorms. We all, Macy included were happy that she was able to spend the time with Makenzie and Jared and agreed she would be welcome to come back anytime. I highly recommend Makenzie as a Rover Sitter. Her attention to Macy was outstanding as she obviously loves animals and was reciprocated by Macy. Janice Kakish”

“Caitlin was wonderful! My getaway was so much more relaxing knowing that my dog was well cared for. I truly appreciated the texted photos and updates, too. I’ll definitely reach out to Caitlin again.”

“Kelsi was amazing, her home is set up perfectly for dogs and my dog absolutely loved his time there. She was very responsive and even sent me pictures throughout the booking”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Jeromesville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Jeromesville.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Jeromesville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
