About: I have grown up with pets my whole life. I truly cannot imagine living a life without a furry family member! In my lifetime, we have had a total of 6 pets, half of them being strays or rescues. One of our cats got diabetes and I had to give him insulin shots. My one dog Lexi got cancer and I had to pick her up to go out to pee as she lost control in her legs (she was a large golden doodle). Our one cat Hoodie was a feral kitten that we found hiding in the hood of my mom’s car. We were able to domesticate her and now she’s a fat happy house cat. About: I have had cats and dogs my whole life, and started sitting over a decade ago. I will always meet your pet where they are in terms of their need for attention and affection. I have experience in giving liquid and pill meds, as well as IV fluids to cats. I am an active person, and have no problem with log walks or runs for dogs. My schedule is flexible, so I can adapt to a variety of needs. I am a professor with a flexible schedule and work primarily from home, especially in the summer, so I can typically adapt my schedule to what your needs are. I will always respect both your home, and your pets needs in your home. I know that your home is their territory, and I am a guest to them, so I will never force myself on to them or into a space they may not want me in.

About: I am a nurturer by nature and am a Registered Nurse. In the later part of my career I worked in labor and delivery and took care of mothers and newborns, and I have to say when I got the chance to help deliver a litter of puppies, it was just as exciting! So since I no longer work in the nursing field, and I don’t have my patients to spend my time caring for, I’ve now decided that since I love animals so much it’s time to spend all my extra time spoiling them, caring for them, and just loving on them. As a child, I grew up always having a dog and a cat in the house and then when I left the nest, my husband and I started out with one dog and we eventually ended up with three. Still I find there’s plenty of space in my heart to get to know even more. Our oldest golden retriever boy takes seizures, so I am comfortable taking care of dogs that do have a history of seizures. I am also comfortable giving medications. I will always make it a point to send photos to mom and dad so you can see how your fur babies are doing. This way when you’re away from your fur baby you’ll still feel comfortable. Just one thing I wanted to mention. I enjoy taking dogs for walks however I am not able to walk a large strong dog that pulls. I have no problem pet sitting a large dog if they have a fenced in yard and I would not have to walk them. However, I just would not feel safe walking them as I would feel that there could possibly be a chance that they would pull too hard and possibly either knock me down or get loose. However, like I said, I do love my big dogs. I just feel for safety sake. I wanted to put out that information. My schedule is almost completely free except for an occasional appointment here or there which I usually know well in advance. I’m available for drop ins and overnight stays as well. The only other commitment I have is I usually photograph the dogs at a local shelter once a week to help them get adopted. Unfortunately, at this time, I cannot care for pets in my home as my senior dog is recovering from cancer and he has become a little bit grumpy with dogs that he does not know. I have no problem caring for your pet in your own home, which I believe is actually often the best scenario as it seems to make things less stressful overall for your pets while you’re away from them. I can follow whatever routine your pet is used to and whatever instructions you leave.

About: My apartment complex has a side yard with plenty of space throughout it. I have a couple dog parks nearby, a courtyard and neighborhoods within a few feet that are all dog friendly. I usually let the dogs roam freely in the apartment. I am currently working remotely so taking frequent breaks wouldn’t be a issue. I am able to show the dogs lots of attention throughout the day. I have experience working with special needs dogs, older dogs and puppies. My expertise allows me to care for each dog as if it were my own. My schedule is extremely flexible, giving me more time for your pups! I am available for boarding during the week and some weekends. I can stop pass and do walks and feeding for your pups during the week at anytime. I have a gated yard and my own friendly dog to keep your dog company. I also have 3 dog parks nearby to take the dogs to walk and play.
