“This was our first time using a dog sitter and Sarah was fantastic with our dog. She was very well taken care of while we were on vacation. We will definitely be booking with Sarah again.”

“Jennifer was awesome. She kept me updated with photos and messages. My dog was well taken care of and was exactly how she was when I dropped her off... Happy healthy, and clean. I would definitely recommend Jennifer and look forward to using her again.”

“Dogs were very clean and happy when they returned home. Rachel was very quick to respond to any questions and sent multiple pictures of our pups during their stay, and even accommodated some last minute change in plans for us. Will book again!!”

About: I’ve had dogs throughout my entire life, but currently I have a 7 year old golden retriever I treat like my child! I’ve always trained all of my dogs myself and participated in many safety training classes regarding training. I am currently in graduate school and unemployed, so mostly it’s just me and my golden at home most days, so I have plenty of spare time to help in your pet’s care! I am open to boarding and house sitting, but also happy to do drop-ins or just walks! I have a big fenced in yard and a sweet golden who loves making new friends to keep your pup company! I have plenty of room to crate your dog if needed.
About: Hey! I have been taking care of pets for 13 years, including my own dog who is a 8 year old black lab. I also enjoy taking dogs for long runs with me I am currently working remote and my schedule is very flexible to dog walk, stay at sitters house, etc. I love taking care of animals and help making people’s life easier. I always make sure my house is clean and pet safe. I am located half a mile away from a dog park if needed to be taken to the park.
“Michelle and her family were great. This was my first time using rover and I was a little nervous but she sent updates through out and my pup had the best time. Could not recommend Michelle enough.”

“We LOVE Jennifer!! She personally text and sent pics everyday along with keeping us posted in the River app. She kept us updated on every aspect of their day. Both Jennifer and her entire family made us so comfortable leaving our fur babies for a week. Will use her again!”

About: Hi there! I’m Brittany, a lifelong animal lover and trusted house sitter with over 10 years of experience caring for pets and homes just like yours. I treat every pet like family and go above and beyond to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. And when it comes to your home, you can trust it will be cared for with the same respect and attention. I am happy to keep you updated with regular photos, messages, and anything else that helps you feel connected while you’re away. Let’s chat and find the perfect fit for your needs! ** Due to safety, I do not stay by myself but ask that a pre approved friend stay with me. She also comes with referrals different from my own! Her name is Jolee. I work full time, but am available during lunch hour and 5 every day, and Saturday after 2 and all day Sunday. I’ll make sure your baby is priority! I have cats who have grown up around dogs and they love them! I’ll make sure your fur baby feels at home! However, if you need them separated, it’s no big deal. They have a kitty room just for them!
“We had a wonderful experience boarding our dogs here. She was very thoughtful in the meet and greet experience making sure her and our dogs were comfortable, didn't board too many at a time in her home, and was communicative. We appreciated having somewhere to leave them over the holidays where we knew they would get snuggles and attention, and even with our old fella having a little health issue, she was very attentive and kind about it. We felt comfortable leaving Luna and Dax, and they would love to stay with Rebecca again!”

“David and his wife were kind, thoughtful, and communicative throughout our entire trip. They have a beautiful home (with a big fenced in yard for zoomies) that your pets will love. They also sent lots of pictures and let me know how the doggies were doing every day. I would highly recommend David to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter! 🐶❤️🐶”

“Bonnie M. was very patient & kind with my furries. I appreciate her agreeing to care for them. Despite my big, rambunctious puppy, she had no negative commentary and they all seem to have been treated well.”

“Linda was just awesome and accommodating for Max, loved the pictures of his vacation too. This was our 1st experience with Rover and because of Linda I will be recommending Linda and Rover to all my pet parent friends. Thanks Linda”

About: I have had dogs all my life and experienced with young and senior dogs as well and medication management if needed and spoil them rotten in my care 😬 They will get much love and attention as I am a stay home pet mom myself. I am a stay home wife who does not work and love animals so why not give a family a piece of mind that their pet is being loved on and spoiled while they are enjoying vacation or what ever the circumstances may be. My dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the bed and I am not a big fan of crates but will use if owner requests I live in a ranch home so no steps . It is just me and my husband along with my min pin who loves other dogs and a hermit cat who really stays to herself Our home is very clean and maintained . My dog is spoiled more than I wish to admit but wouldn't have it any other way . Plenty of dog treats and toys at my home Your pet can do as they do in my home as they do in there own home ❤️
About: I have 3 wonderful pups of my own and have had pets my entire life! I only recently started watching other people's pets but I love it! I have taken care of dogs with extra needs. Large dogs will be on a case by case basis. My schedule is pretty open at the moment! I am extremely flexible with time. If anything changes in my schedule I will notify you. I am willing to do weekdays and weekends. I have a fenced in backyard if pets are to be boarded at my home. I have two dogs that are crate trained so I do have experience with that.
About: Loved and cared for animals my whole life. With about six years of experience in the veterinary field, I currently work as a receptionist at a clinic in Hoover, AL, and have been pet sitting for about three years. I am a proud owner of four dogs, and we absolutely love having extra company and making new friends! I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, ensuring that they feel at home with us. I currently work full time, but I still make sure to allow plenty of time for playing and interacting with your pets! I am available for drop offs and pickups after 6 pm during weekdays. I have a 6ft chain link fence for potty breaks and play times and your pet is never left outside unattended. My 4 dogs loves making new friends but if your pet seems a bit shy about meeting my dogs, I’ll separate them and rotate the rooms with my dogs and your pet. This way, everyone can get some love and time to explore the house, and your pet will feel more comfortable. They can even treat my home as their own and are welcome on the furniture and bed for snuggles. During feeding time, I feed each pet in their own crate or in separate rooms to prevent any accidents.
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Jasper is $38
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Jasper
This is the first time we have used rover for sitting our two dogs. In the past I had boarded them at a boarding facility and it always seemed that they would come home sick and traumatized. This time it was completely different the dogs were so happy in fact I wasn’t sure they wanted to come home lol. Sarah and Keegan were fabulous, they sent pictures twice a day and updated me on how things were going. I will for sure use them again and highly recommend.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
