About: Hi! I grew up on a farm out in the Millersville area with lots of different types of animals. That being said, I’ve never lived a day of my life without a cat or a dog ☺️ While I have no formal animal training, I love my pets (and yours!) as family. I work full-time as a barista and shift supervisor for the hotel and Starbucks in the Casino! While this takes up 8 hours of my day, I am willing to meet your babies before or after my work day. I live in a small duplex with two cats and my small dog (he’s a beagle-basset mix). While I have no fenced in backyard, I would happily take your dogs on a leashed walk through the neighborhood or nearby park. As for at your home, any rules you might have will be followed! I can crate a dog if requested and have watched my MIL’s two dogs for many years, so I’ve got experience in that department.
“Mariah really helped us out when my husband and I made a last minute day trip out of town. I haven’t had the chance to meet her in person since we had already left when she confirmed she could check on dog Jett, but we look forward to meeting Mariah and using her services again. Thank you Mariah!”

“Hayden was a huge help. She went above and beyond for my girl Sadie and made sure she was loved. Sadie seemed so happy when I got back. Hayden was always on time and was in constant communication with me. I will be using her again!!”

“Syl was great with our senior dog. I didn’t scare her off with a long list of instructions for our 17 year old or when I told her we wouldn’t have cell service. I was nervous about the trip but she was competent & reassuring. We will definitely use her in the future!”
About: Looking for an experienced animal sitter or affordable daycare that is flexible? Woof, I am your gal! From 13 years of combined dog training and behavioral training, I may as well be an animal mind reader! My approaches to pet care are holistic and it doesn't get more organic than loving and working with animals. I've also had many years of experience with small animals, fish and reptiles. If you need a small sitter, I'm all yours! MEET & GREET: I do my meet and greets differently than most. I have TWO meet and greets. The first is with owners alone for a tour of my house, going over routines and any additional care and concerns. This is very helpful as exciting dogs barking can be overwhelming. The second meet and greet is at a basic place like a park or OUTSIDE of dog park. My schedule and routine is pretty flexible, yet still manageable and structured. My daycare hours are Mon-Fri from 8AM to 5:30PM, though I can work around your schedule only on those days. Boarding is available 7 days a week during the night with check in times anywhere 2PM to 7PM, checkouts 8AM next day unless specified otherwise (in the event I am unavailable with a week advance notice). Dog walks and dog check-ins are only Saturday evenings, various hours. BITE POLICY: I understand that accidents happen and I am equipped to handle a bite from a dog/cat as well as ensure the safety of animal to animal bites. If your pet bites me, another person or pet, I will immediately contact you with details of the event. I will report ALL bites to Rover. Depending on the situation, someone will need to pick up pet(s) within 6 hours of contact and bite. It is up to Rover to issue a refund depending on circumstances. You MUST book your request through Rover and MUST pay via Rover for them to ensure a refund. I will NOT refund if you have paid via CashApp, check, Venmo, cash, etc. if you are required to pick up your pet(s). If I assess the situation and feel it's risky to board/sit your pet I will decline future requests. NOTE: You MUST book/CONFIRM your requests via ROVER! When you send your requests to me, I will book it and you must confirm via Rover in order for me to watch your pets. Pending request will be denied of service. NOTE: Boarding is charged by the NIGHT. For example, if you request for me to board your pets Jan 8th thru Jan 17th, they MUST be picked up ON the 17th, not the next day on Jan 18th. Please factor in how late you will arrive and if it's the next day you will have to pay for that night. This works just like a hotel stay. You will be charged a $20 fee for each pet if you need to extend stays. NOTE: Please make sure your pets are free from fleas and parasites! Upon meet and greet provide proof of recent medication, vet summaries, and other remedies. I no longer provide daycare services, only boarding, walks, and check ins. I currently have 5 cats and 1 dog. Walking and at home check ins are anywhere from 1-3 hours Sat evenings. I will walk around neighborhood only if a safe and trusted area. I also will care for cat in home visits. All required is specific walking and care instructions.
“Evie was really sweet and good with my puppy, Diesel. He really likes her and I could see he really enjoyed her daily visits. She even cleaned up his indoor puppy accidents when she didn't have to. I definitely will use her again in the future with no hesitation. Her love for animals really shines through!”

About: With my experience from working in a vet I’ve learned how to administer medications, handle dogs that may be difficult to handle, trimming nails, expressing anal glands, care for senior dogs, and the list goes on! I currently have one client who I’ve been working for now, she has 6 dogs, 5 goats and chickens! I love dogs of all ages and sizes and love giving a good belly rub! I currently work part time at Charles Hutson horticulture greenhouse. I will have school starting in fall, but will have an open schedule throughout the day! If I am house sitting I go to the clients home and stay with the pets throughout the day and make sure to let dogs out when needed, give medications when they are needed, and I also stay over night at the house if I am watching them for multiple days.
“Tara was amazing! She's very sweet and our cat loved her immediately. She took a lot of notes to understand our cat and her needs, and we immediately felt comfortable with Tara's help and will ask her again in the future. Thank you!!”

“Amy and Aaron have been amazing with my puppy! They follow my instructions to a T and always take such great care of him. Amy is very responsive to text messages even when not actively taking care of Bo. I would recommend using them!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Jackson
Julia took such wonderful care of our dogs and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She sent daily updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. This was our first time leaving them with someone outside of our family, and Julia went above and beyond to make the experience stress-free. We highly recommend her and will definitely be using her services again!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
