“My dog has given her paw & wags of approval to ReShan. As a rescue, she takes her time to give trust & affection, & she has given both to ReShan. He has helped with walking & boarding my dog, who is large, strong & not well-trained. ReShan has her walking nice on the leash, giving me hope that I can also achieve it. He treats us both with love & respect. I am so thankful for his involvement in our lives. Thank you, ReShan, for your loving care of my best buddy.”

“Sarena has been walking my pup for about a month now, two times a week, and it’s been so great! She’s timely, which is reassuring for me, and so friendly which is great for my dog! My dog went through some intensive training a year ago for her reactivity and Sarena was open to learning how to use my dog’s tools to best set her up for success on a walk. I also love that Sarena is active on the app to show me when she arrives at my home, how long the walk was, and even sends me photos of my dog on the walk. About: I have hands-on experience caring for multiple dogs at once, including a variety of breeds like Chihuahuas, Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, and Labs. I’m also familiar with dogs that have sensitive skin or dietary needs, and I can carefully follow feeding instructions, including toppers or specific diets. What sets me apart is my ability to handle multi-dog households confidently while still giving each pet individual attention. I’m patient, observant, and focused on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and stress-free. I treat every dog like my own and always make sure they feel secure while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I already care for multiple dogs at home. I’m used to structured feeding times, walks, playtime, and rest schedules, so I’m very consistent and reliable with routines. I am flexible throughout the week and can adjust my schedule to meet the needs of each pet. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday drop-ins, or evening care, I make sure pets are checked on and cared for on time. I prioritize pet care as part of my daily responsibilities, not something I rush or squeeze in. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. I always follow owner instructions carefully, including feeding routines, medication schedules, and behavior guidelines. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior so I can quickly notice if anything seems off. In my care, pets are kept in a calm, supervised, and pet-friendly environment. I make sure they always have clean water, a safe space to rest, and plenty of attention. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your space, keep everything clean and organized, and follow your home rules exactly as instructed. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
